Wrangles in the former ruling part continue to deepen as cadres from the anti Mumba camp have been deployed to man the secretariate office in a bid to prevent ” new national secretary” Muhabi Lungu from accessing his new office.
The cadres who arrived in buses say the have came to secure the secretariate because yesterday’s meeting was illegal as there was a court order preventing them from going ahead with the meeting and that some members were stopped from attending the meeting.
And speaking in an interview acting national secretary Chembe Nyangu said yesterday days meeting was nil and void as it was held against a court order restraining the Dr Mumba comp from holding the meeting.
“As far as am concerned the meeting was illegal because there was a court order stopping the meeting from taking place but they decided to go ahead,” he said.
He refuted claims that the court order was served late while the meeting had already started saying;” I showed Dr Mumba the court order but he refused to recognize it because it was signed on a sunday.”
“It was there the president saw it, if they want they retrieve the conversation I had with the president from ZICTA, he saw it when I was showing the Deputy national secretary he was standing next to him. He said he does not know a judge who worked on Sunday so he wouldn’t obey the order,” said the emotionally charged Mr Nyangu.
Asked if he attended the meeting Mr Nyangu said he did not attend the meeting because he did not want to be jailed.
Mr Nyangu further said the letters of suspension to some members which were being prepared in the morning were illegal because the meeting was illegal.
“The issue of suspension was not on the agenda and it was snicked at the last minuet so its non starter”
Currently more than 60 cadres are at the secretariate with no signs of the other camp showing up.
what’s the point of fighting for a dead party. What a Loss. Its all because of poverty that these guys go into politics.
Evil has never won over good.
MMD has emerged much stronger and more united after yesterday’s meeting. May the good Lord bless Mother Zambia.
Aluta Continue for democracy…..
God is fighting your battles Dr Mumba and MMD Team 2016!
This fire has to make you stronger but, it will not burn you at all sir!
It’s high time this country was governed by a King David! Only then does the Lord God command a blessing over the land! And the people shall rejoice over the anguish they are going through now! Praise the Lord!!!
Zambian politics is premised on self interest. When there is a threat to those interests they will find ways to destabilise the system. National interest should come first rather than our pockets!
There is a legitimate leadership in place installed after elections victories. It’s this leadership that is constitutionally obliged to occupy the secretariat.Dr Mumba’s team will have to ask police to remove them for potential breach of public peace and not personally get involved. If a court injunction is in place, why not wait for that 40day period rather than disrupt party operations?Or If feel so much aggrieved, why not join existing ones they agree with or form their own? This is the confusion Sata-Kabimba and the cartel have paid traitors for.MMD has always resolved issues behind closed doors not on the street like PF.If this energy to disrupt is applied to support Dr Mumba until 2016 MMD would sweep every by-election and get back into office.Support for Mumba is even stronger.
A house divided will never stand! Zambia is such a house.
All the opposition parties are sick and pathetic! Full of greedy men, hungry for power that they will never have.
UNIP should be in the leagues of ANC, it was build on genuineness, unfortunately nothing good lasts in Zambia because everyone is greedy, fickle minded and puny.
Kafumukache’s assignment coming to fruition.
Now,
‘DISTROY’…’NEVER’ MUMBA…
Wonder how vernacular as a language of instruction in primary school will help our young people articulate their views on a global scale.
I might just be naive here but this trend of using cadres for violent purposes cannot and should be be allowed to take hold of Zambian politics. Violence does not lead to anything other than more violence and bloodshed. It is inconcievable just how backward we have gone in a little over 2 and half years when we used to pride ourselves as the most “advanced minds” in the region.
Now even the Malawians next door seem to be far ahead of us both socially and politically
And these are people who boast to be intelligent but lack performance using cadres. It is called Youth abuse.
THE MAN OF GOD SHALL PREVAIL IN JESUS NAME…..
Just join PF. Let Nevers Mumba rule in peace. MMD will be gone by 2016. Stop wasting pushing up your blood pressure over MMD. It is not worth it. PF holds the future.
UMU PATILI
Yaba ! Really ? I feel pity for my pastor Mumbwe. This ain`t too good for the party.Chances are that this party will be weakened further after everything is said and done at this convention.
And those cadres holding that banner in the picture looks like hired thugs from Kulima tower bus stop to me.I doubt if they even understand what they are doing.
Muhabi lungu is a good guy though.I just dislike his combative nature ,but generally he is one of those guys one can wish to surround himself with.He deserves the new position.
Too many spelling mistakes in this article. Spell check does exist you know.
@Nonde: Why dont you put all this RUBBISH in your Ar.se instead of spewing it!! Whst’s wrong with you Bemba monkeys!! English is a fourth language to most of the bloggers so grammar is not important BUT communication wich the articles does very well!
I’m sure those cadres are PF and this is a PF sponsored campaign. How come the Police were no where insight arresting them for breach of peace. The police are very particular about breach of peace. It is really a pity that Sata is out to destroy Zambia’s democracy by using tax payers monies to hire vigilantes to weaken the opposition.Who hired those buses can we follow the money trail?
Spot on
WE CAN SEE KABIMBA’S DESPARATION……HA,HA,HA…IFWITI IYOOOOO….
Hope they got permission from police, if not police impartiality in question again and again.
Dr Mumba, Family, MMD Supporters and all Supporters. Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. Exodus 14:14
And these are the old MMD people trying to come back in power after misuling the country for 20years, signs of violence and cadreism and they claim to be intelligent and claim that they have failed but have a big conflict of interest now they see that Dr Mumba has tried to rebrand MMD from the time he was elected. The truth will be exposed in a big way. It is good that DR Mumba really sees who are genuinely his supporters.
Reliable sources said sata wants pastor mumba out because he will divide the northern region vote which the pf is eyeing for mass rigging in 2016,if they go for a convention ,the plan is to chose a non bemba as mmd president who will be not a factor in 2016.
I like this plan – I hope it works.
Thanks
The money they got from the editor is making Dora and company do all sort of things. Dr Mumba and team just stand united and steadfast, this wind will pass in no time.
Saulosi I agree with you, those chaps in the picture are surely hired guns from one of the bus stations in Lusaka. As we are moving towards 2016 expect hired thugs to terrorise innocent souls.
There is equal reaction to every action. Do not blame the silent majority when they kick Doar, Kaingu, Chituwo and their sponsors Mumembe, Nchito and Kabimba out of political stream into oblivion. Sata shall be careful the trio of Mumembe, Nchito and Kabimba are up to a bigger game than meets his eyes. He is a finished cobra, his body and mind are both in depletion mode.
MMD will emerge stronger. Public will react to Dr. Mumba’s persecution and efforts by ruling elite to suppress freedom of speech, assembly and democracy.
Aluta Continua.
Bashi Chilufye is the chief of confusion. Since he’s the leader now Zambia will not know peace. Bloodshed and confusion will be the order of the day. Yet this is person foolish zambians went to vote for even after several warnings.
MMD had its glory. It is beyond its expiry date. Come 2016 it will go into oblivion.
Declaring Psalm 91 and the blood of Jesus on Dr Mumba, Family, MMD Supporters and all supporters.
“Declaring the blood of Jesus over Dr Mumba, “. “God is fighting Mumba’s battles…” blah blah blah – what kind of weed are you lot on?
God has absolutely nothing to do with this – when are you going to figure this out. You have been praying for years and you think he has not heard yet? He could not care less whatsover – you need to get that in your heard and stop this fooooolishnes.
God does not give one slice of toast about Zambia, he really does not care, you sound pathetic with your constant God rumblings!
laughter,God is involved in all what we do.wait and see,He never abandons His own……Nvers shall prevail….
As I noted immediately after the PF victory in the 2011 election when the UPND’s blogger “Maestro Haaa Haa Heee Heee” suddenly disappeared; the silence of the rabid MMD bloggers “MMD Chief Bootlicker” and “Senior Citizen” on the confusion going on in their MMD today is deafening!! Any thoughts, Mr Chief Bootlicker’ Mr Senior Citizen?
Disobeying a lawful court is contempt of court, Nevers is liable. If he can disobey court orders can you entrust him the country. These are tell tell signs that he cannot be trusted with running the country. He would be another BAD DREAM.
BEWARE!
Can you comment on the UPND injunction that was disregarded by the Police sometime back.
Dr Chituwo nd de group ve realised that they made a mistake to a Bemba as their leader .This will delay their tribe 2 be in power. This is entirely a fight against bemba speakng people.
sad indeed !
non of you can be trusted, you all look the same.
