State House has maintained that President Sata is well.
State House Special Assistant for Press and Public Relations George Chellah told Journalists that President Sata is always in the office carrying out his duties in line with his office.
Mr Chellah was reacting to Dr. Mumba’s advice to State House to issue an apology and clarify whether President Sata is unable to carry out his responsibilities following his conduct at Labour Day Celebrations.
Mr. Chellah wondered how Dr Mumba can issue such a statement when President Sata managed to witness a march past involving over 100 workers.
He said it is shameful for Dr Mumba as a man of God to be peddling such insinuations against President Sata.
Mr. Chellah has since advised Dr. Mumba to concentrate on stabilizing the MMD instead of attacking President Sata.
MMD President Nevers Mumba has advised State House to issue an apology and clarify whether President Sata is unable to carry out his responsibilities as Head of State following his conduct were he chose not to formally address the workers during this year’s Labour Day Celebrations.
Going by George Chellah’s history of stating the exact opposite of what is obtaining on the ground, this confirms that Sata is not well at all.
Has he been jogging, we need to know if our president has been jogging.
He is fine. You haters you will just keep on wishing him to be sick but it’s you who will instead continue losing your loved ones.
We live in a world where people wish others to get sick.Weird if you ask me.
We wouldn’t at all be surprised if he were sick Michael was a 10 packets/day chain smoker…I bet you he still smokes hence the reason he shy away from public events.
@He might be feeling better this month. But its possible for any elder to simply look at Sata and determine that umunensu taleumfwa bwino, maybe ni malaria. Anyone can tell that KK is not sick, he is just older.
But what I tell Sata is not to let his physical fitness get into his head. The man is frustrated and annoyed of himself.
He is as well and fit as a 75 year old can be!
Yeah right, always in his office dictating to Chellah what to put on Facebook!
And since when has it been an attack to enquire about someone’s health?
Lol, holding on to dear life.
This reminds me of Chemical Ali or was it comical Ali, Saddam Hussein’s former spin doctor. American fighter planes were busy bombing and ravaging in the background where Ali was, and yet he was busy addressing Iraqis that Americans are being killed. What happened later is anybody’s guess. Where is comical/chemical Ali and off course Saddam?
Only time will tell. I end here.
This Chellah boy is not even ashamed of saying Sata”managed to witness a march past involving 100 workers” . Now first he uses the word MANAGED implying it took a lot of effort to watch 100 workers march. Secondly, does Chellah appreciate that this was a NATIONAL event. What does this number tell us about a NATIONAL event?
The wages of lies and deceit is sickness. You cant lie to a nation of people of God and go scot free.
Mukafilila Mulunsenga.
Iwe @Crusader, let’s not get carried away by the obvious. You know the drill: you crawl from your mother’s womb and crawl to your grave if you live long enough. Simple. What is not easy to understand is how the voters actually decide, knowing what they are getting into, that they are going to get someone who by the nature of their age will not be as sprightly as they were several decades ago when they were actually still in power. It is a simple dictum, I don’t see how you over-complicate matters. Just do the right thing in the coming years and decades. Most of the world has under 60 leaders – it is just Africa that still boasts of presidents past their 80s (and 90s for some!!). Streuth!
Thanks Chellah for responding in affirmative. TV may show wrong picture altogether.
Why not host a Press conference to reassure us…No one is going to take an immature and incompetent PA seriously!!
Do you honestly expect George Chella to say he is sick? You all have eyes and can see for yourselves the guy has a terminal illness eating him every day.
Haven’t you seen how even his voice sounds much weaker than that for the 90 year old KK. He is in continual pain.
We all know he is fine.It is the Zambian watchdog that have declared him sick because that’s their prayer day and night that he will get sick and die as a result increasing chances of their sponsor HH to walk into state house.Apparently they(Zambian watchdog) have discovered that campaigning for HH in a rational sense cant win votes hence their decision to resort to lies, gossip and character assassination.
+1
I concur 100%
I question people who rely on what the WD says
The president deserves a second term 100%
Thanks
ITS NOT THE ZWD WHO WISHES THE PRESIDENT DEAD.IT IS KABIMBA,THE MAN WHO HAS PUT MUSHOTA AND SAULOSI ON HIS PAY ROLL
Was it Watchdog that gave the one minute speech and quickly rushed back into the presidential motorcade? Are you also suggesting that even Nevers is campaigning for HH??. Wake up you two chaps (saulosi and mushota)
Spot on !
Even if its character assassination its shouldn’t get to your hero Sata’s head and balls. Why should those dogs frustrate him so much that he looks suicidal?
Mwanawasa had all kind of terminal illnesses, I never even understood a single speech of his, but the man died leading people. That was a LEADER.
Yes why not HH take advantage, ba RB balishukilamo…
The late Mwanawasa never used to hide his sickness and mr sata made political capital out of that by calling for the medical board to be set up to determine if levy was fit to rule. This is the reason mr sata is hiding his sickness for fear of setting up a board to determine whether he is fit or not.History has a way of repeating itself and for sure it will repeat sooner or later.its a matter of time.
Telling lies day by day does not do anyone any good. Mr Chella 100 workers is less than the number of grade 8 pupils at a school like Kabulonga or Libala and you think that is a large number to boast about! Labour day involves or should involve tens if not hundreds of thousands of workers who Mr Sata owes his current life to since they are the ones who gave him a job and he should respect them. Don’t take Zambians to be f00ls who can’t see and think for themselves. It was clear that MCS either was not well or he deliberately treated the workers who attended with contempt and all reasonable citizens condemned his actions. Mumba is not the only one, some PF ministers also privately condemned the action.
Exactly. Since when has the number of workers in a march past become the measure of Presidential health? Maybe according to George if there were 75 workers he might have had a cold, 50 workers the flu, and 25 workers get ready to see flags at half mast?
How tiring can it be to sit in a big chair on a shaded review stand and watch 100 people walk by? And this is the measure of “peak Presidential performance” PF now boasts about?
In truth, I can only imagine that “planning” this year’s May Day event involved 1-2 brave handlers reminding the President last year’s speech was incoherent and people were laughing at him followed immediately by a big tantrum and Sata insisting he won’t read the speech they made or even say a damn thing just to “fix” his detractors.
Let Guy Scott takeover.
idi0t!
If Guy Scott is an ***** then Kabimba takes over.
Mulenga Sata shall takeover as President of Zambia.
Whether it Guy Scott or Kabimba it won’t make any difference whatsoever as THEY are all EMPTY TINS! !
You, Chellah, must learn to listen to advice. Your president failed to live up to people’s expectations at an important national event. You should also learn to approach all issues professionally, not always taking it personal and lobbing insults at your elders and flying off the handle at the drop of a kid’s hat. The president is evidently sick, he failed to deliver a simple speech, didn’t even have the decency to delegate someone else to make the speech on his behalf. He trivialized an important occasion. Must stakeholders keep when the president is failing to perform his mandated functions? Please stop the childish reaction to sound advice.
Where was Chella when his boss’s oversized trousers was all over the floor in that photo in Europe last month?
>Jay Jay, For formal wear, loose trousers are in vogue.
Admit it ,you all want him to be sick to satisfy your interests. Its the only thing you want your mind to believe. We are crazy beings not so ?
@Phiri, you give a whole new meaning to the term ‘A Phiri anabwela mochedwa’. You should have said what you are saying now to Sata when he was mocking Levy Mwanawasa and called him ‘cabbage’, and George Kunda and called him ‘red-lips’. Lessons to learn:- what goes around comes around whether we like it or not.
George chella why not let him answer for himself. Please tell us when he last went jogging?
Lets hope its not the “stable”. What took our late mwanawasa. Let them come out they owe the polo the truth
state house why waste your breath answering to lies peddled by one privatisation thief(hh) and the other one who is a perpetual tithe and offering thief(neverlands).these ttwo disgruntled demagogues bark all the time.
CHELLAH, who told you that Nevers Mumba is a man of God? Maybe you meant god. Nevers Mumba is not a man of God. His behaviour does amount to that. Maybe you are mistaken by him standing in front of God’s people and saying things he does not himself practice. Nevers Mumba is a man of money and lavish living as if he makes money himself. Never is so unproductive he can’t make his own money. Every money he enjoys is absolutely, donated money. People (including poor people) feed Nevers Mumba and his family. As if that’s not enough, they even pay for his lodging and not forgetting all he wears and mmd are now complaining about his paid for lavish life.
Ba Peter, pliz don’t say wrong things about Dr Mumba. All you’ve yapped is out of ignorance, hatred, bitterness, and of cause being a hired gun of a Party that has no hope of ruling Zambia again or experiment again.
Young generation of Leaders in Zambia worse, no real issues to talk about.
My thoughts exactly. Icalo tukashila ba kabwa cabe.
Proof of president Sata being physically fit to handle national matters competently with intelligence can depend on two things.
1- Presidential address to the nation with a mammoth press conference on various national matters affecting Zambia and Zambians especially PF members and sympathizers who are suffering most from their unfulfilled expectations.
2- Dispel credible information that the first lady (or is it 4th) has left state house for ever.
3- Be pragmatic enough to discipline at least one of his many corrupt ministers.
Only then the indefensible becomes defensible.
@ Aquilla
You are asking for Miracle?
If that press conference ever happens it will be the most viewed on YouTube due to it comic nature.
Two Presidents in Southern Africa will be dead by 1 September 2014. These Presidents are M and S.
iyo ba joshua elyo ya mikata TB , BLOGGED ONE MAN, HE MADE MY DAY. tell your prophets to help locate the missing plan in the ocean instead of wishing for bad news they should prey to avoid deaths.
It is obvious and forever apparent that the shoes Chellah is wearing are too big for him. A claverer authority would releave him of his duties if he is serious about his own image.
After Sata dies , this boy will say ba kateka is taking a nap.
While, MCS is a father, uncle, grandfather, son, relative and friend of many. It is not good wish him sick or indeed wish anyone else sick, but we know that human beings fall sick, and he is a human being so its inevitable to be ill. If he is sick lets pray for him and if not let him prove it to the people but coming out in the open.
Anyway, he is also very old and had smoked for a long period of time in the past and other issues.
I wish him the best of health and others humans. Lets pray for one another as creature of God.
I refuse to pray for a satan. That is against my Christian faith. Sata(n) is the cause of death of many, unemployment and anguish of youths, workers, nurses, doctors, farmers, government employees, teachers and Zambians in general. He has deprived us medical benefits because he is spending millions of dollars on One-Man’s well being- Himself. He is just opposite of our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for our sins while this fellow is sinning day and night and killing and maiming many for his own survival.
It is time Believers prayed for his departure from this earth.
At least pray for his salvation and repentance.
Brother Christian, that we Christian do for all.
Que Sera Sera (whatever will be, Will be)
If bashi chilufya is fine glory be to God. buy he should ask for forgiveness from God for what he did to George kunda, Mwanawasa and Mazoka and to some extent Chiluba
@Mushota-wa be ama lepe ku kanwa!!!!
Mr. President, we love you so much and let the haters hang themselves, period………..
KK looks more youthful and strong
one day a quiz quetions wl be asked: 1.who ruled zambia without holding a press conference? 2. Name a zambian president who had never been visited by a sitting president apart from R. Mugabe? 3. Name the zambian president who never talked to journalists at the airport? 4. Name the president who did not read a speech during labour day celebration? 5. Who introduced pangas in zambian politics?
“Fit and well” , I can tell a fit and well person when I see one!
Those who sin in spirit GOD will not forgive, never. You do not brake all the commandments and expect forgiveness from the ALMIGHTY GOD! Never.
Peace be upon all Zambians all over the world.
Who made those selfsame commandments. ..dont believe those lies about Moses sleeping out and coming back with a tablet engraved with commandments. ..just be true to yourself.
Wake up! !
His Excellency President M.C. Sata should be careful with the people that keep insisting that he is well, they actually have an agenda. His family members need to move in to protect him. Otherwise the nation will loose him. Chella, Post and Kabimba are taking advantage of H.E.’s illness to loot this country, actually they are more heartless than the people the accuse. A good friend is on who honest with you and not the who tells you lies to appease you. Some please advise our big man these people are up to no good, they are abusing their friendship and they know that as long as H.E. is not well they can play their dirty cards.Presidency is a job like any other when you die they replace you , what is important is health if H.E. is not well it’s normal we all get sick!
….I suggest that constitution requirement of the medical team must start with examining Chellah first. There is no need of describing something brown as reddish when u can clearly see that it is brown.
Usually, a person will only be considered dead after a medical doctor certifies so…even if a layman can clearly see. Its is in the same vain that for now I will respect chellah’s opinion/defence… that’s why nevers was calling for the constitution of a medical team to break the tie.
Once a vibrant charismatic MCS to portray such a scene raises so many questions and speculations. Chellah was better off saying something like…’the presido is no longer 40, he is 78 therefore bla bla bla..’..that way you avoid mentioning words like ‘well and fit’… just in case..
Well, he is fine please. He was actually jogging with Mella, Kasuba and Ms Ingutu Nsumba in state bed. Dont worry
the president is fit as a fiddle
The habit of “marching” on the 1st of May is actually outdated.
Zambia is just one of the “Banana Republics” existing on mother earth.
I attended the labour day here in Lusaka and I can attest that was so shocked and disappointed when the president refused to read a speach that was prepared for him. Most workers present complained of the action that was depicted by our head of state. In short it all defeated the purpose of holding such a magnitude labour day celebrations. Dr. Mumba is right to assert that president Sata ought to show seriousness to important national matters. Workers were highly expectant to hear the plan the government has in terms of working conditions among other issues. Surely he took the workers for a cheap ride due to his conduct.
…as the presido is applying Colgate on the teeth brush in the morning, he is greeted with post headline…’Kwacha tumbles further to a Dollar’…by the time he finishes brushing his teeth, the radio announce nurses national wide strike…by the time he settles for his cup of tea he reads ..’KCM to offload 1500 workers’…as he settles in his office, OP arrives to tell him that GBM has resigned…while in his office he listens to let the people talk radio phoenix featuring HH….as he settles for lunch he receives info that Father Bwalya has resigned his ZESCO post…as he relaxes after a meal, he receives news that BRE plan to form interim govt…afternoon in office he peruses thru ZWD…Dr Kaseba this and that….not only well and fit, u need to be of sound mind to cope
Our Zambian (read PF) spin doctor appears a miserable shadow of his professors – Hitler’s Goebbels and Napoleon’s Squealer. The Post doesn’t seem to have prepared its boy for the task well. his attempts at whitening black is totally pathetic. It’s the President’s appearances in public, his jokes and speeches that assure us of his well being. What you see is what you get.
This is a rather astounding thing to say: “Mr. Chellah wondered how Dr Mumba can issue such a statement when President Sata managed to witness a march past involving over 100 workers.” Mr. Sata is impressed that he “managed” to “witness” a match past of “over 100 workers” on a day that is meant for workers? Quite amazing!
If he is not sick then why did the moron puke in his official car! If indeed he is not sick but he puked as we all know, then it is incumbent on ka Chellah to tell Ukwa CNP to desist from “swallowing” whenever he is taking a ***** from his Aide-de-Camp!
wishing you well Mr President,The death of a president is a cost nt to wish for by all well meaning citizens, but for the selfish.
There is nothing to lie about Sata, the truth of the matter is that he is sick but the doctors are managing the sickness. He is not able to address the nation or even face the journalists. Chella is just doing his job and only says what he is told to say. My our beloved president get well soon!
It is true! Chella is doing Satas job for him! He should ask to be given Satas THREE salary increments too!
Oh, I forgot. No salary increments for civil servants.
Even if sata was sick, chella cannot disclose that his boss is sick
Honi soit qui mal y pense
When you compare 2011 pictures of MCS and current ones there is definitely a big change. The best option is to face the brutal facts and step aside so that you can rest and enjoy your pension as the FORMER!
Just friendly advice!
The wages of lies and deceit is sickness. You cant lie to a nation of people of God and go scot free.
Mukafilila Mulunsenga.
We’ll let the people judge for themselves. People know for sure – they will do you a donchi!
We pray for the Nation of Zambia, that Yahweh will keep our leaders both in the current leadership and opposition. We pray for peace in our land to prevail. Redeem our land from poverty, hardship and wars.
This is for all peace loving Zambians to stand up for the beloved nation. If you love this nation then pray for the leaders whether you like them or not. There is a lot going on in the world and the last thing we would want is wars and strife. Look at Nigeria, south Sudan and even the peaceful Kenya! Can you imagine how Kenya a once peaceful nation is slowly becoming another Nigeria? Long live Mr Sata, long live the opposition leaders and long live the nation of Zambia.
Sata on Labor Day sounded like someone who’s just had 25 Mosis.
As the Zambian constitution stands, unless voted out. all sick Presidents will die on the job. It is impossible to convene a medical panel, because all judges are cowards and it is impossible to impeach because all MPs are cowards.
