Nkana host Blades, Zesco visit Mine Police

Nkana host Konkola Blades while Zesco United visit Konkola Mine Police in respective delayed Week Two games on Wednesday.

At Nkana Stadium in Kitwe, the defending champions will be chasing their second successive FAZ Super Division win of the season when they host Blades less than four days after thumping bottom placed Kabwe Warriors 5-0 at the same venue.

Victory for 11th placed Nkana will see them usurp Blades from seventh where the latter currently perch on nine points after three successive wins.

Nkana have gathered six points from four games and have another three matches in hand heading into Wednesday’s game.

And at Konkola Stadium in Chililabombwe, Zesco face Mine Police in search of their first three points after two successive draws against Power Dynamos (0-0 at home) and Red Arrows (1-1 away in Lusaka).

A win at third from bottom Mine Police will see them move back into second place where they will go tied on 17 points with leaders Power Dynamos who have a superior goal difference.

Meanwhile, Mine Police are seeking their first win since the start of the season on March 15 when they beat Green Buffaloes 2-1 away in Lusaka.

Since then, Mine Police have picked up just two points in their subsequent six games.
