  1. Hey, Hee, This is extreme. This is why our Tonga bululus should stop laughing or abusing bembas when there is a theft case any where in the north. Should we also call them as savages that abandon children for the dead? No its not right. They are always bad individuals in any society.

    God bless the child

    • Magoye love!!!
They’d rather keep keep a seriously ‘Denketed’ cow that take care of a mentally challenged relative!

  2. Child abuse and abandonment is a problem in Zambia. I think that the harsh economic period 80’s – 2000’s caused so much suffering that people lost a lot of humanity. People were so dehumanised by the unprecedented suffering that we are now seeing some of the psychological damage done to people.

This is no ordinary cruelty, or base behaviour. If you think, about the frequency of teenage pregnancies and illegal terminations by ‘gym slips’ mums currently, it is clear to see this is a societal problem.

Gov’t has a lot to do in improving life conditions in Zambia. This article is a sad story. Proper Zambian culture does not condone the abuse of children. We must all agitate on this issue and see every child as our own to help struggling families.

    God forgive us our…

    • God forgive us our sins and put more burden on our leaders to force the hand of wisdom onto them. Let your people be freed from these sins.

    • With the advent of the ‘global village’ issues, we do not have a ‘national culture’ as rigid as it was 40-50 years ago. So we ought to identify our role in shaping whom we are & our position in this huge platform. The issue of leaving an imbecile, moron or whatever, to die in the bush speaks beyond poverty but ruthless & heartless family decision. When found, they all must be made to bungy-jump with no strings attached.
