  1. Each european citizen is entitled to use its mother language in the european parliament, the european commission, in their public speech and correspondence with their public administration.

Except Ethiopia, and the arabic countries, all african countries are using european colonial languages as the only official languages for public administration.

    • Vodka Lungu is going to Western Province in weekend, maybe he can pardon those Luyungandambo. PF promised them that they will get want they demand, in 90 days!!

  2. On a tiny continent like Europe, every small ethnic group like the French, the Germans or the Dutch keeps their language, and are entitled to use it as a working language, why on earth on a continent like Africa we won ’t use our own language?
If Europeans were lazy and ignorant like Africans, they would simply say “It’s too complicated.
Here is my call to all Africans who want to fight the colonial languages in our education and public administration.
    – Let’s starting forcing our governments to use our languages in public administration.
If for convenience only your government included any native language in your country official languages, start sending letters, and requests to government in that language.
    – If you go to public administration refuse to be served in colonial…

  3. …….language, and speak in any of the other official languages which are local.
    – If the government or the public administration refuse to serve you in an official language, bring them into court, and have them condemned for refusing to serve citizen in an official language of the country.

    – If you have a company start using your native language in your invoices, orders and receipts, and slowly upgrade to make your local language the conversation language inside your company. Do not hire people who can not speak in their local language properly. Slowly upgrade to writing.

  4. So is this just so hooray Henry can go riding in to the West, yelling hee ha and promising ‘unity’ and fudging over BA64 unfulfilled promises yada yada… check out the new stadium we built and oh look at the university we’re going to give you… and check out how we’ve locked away these very very bad men… anything but dialogue and resolution. Hope it’s not an excuse to get all hard headed and Ferguson on the Western folks… or an attempt to play ‘the unifier’…

On a lighter note the Barotseland national anthem is actually quite beautiful and honest… one day when we grow up it won’t be a crime to sing it…

  5. Zambia belongs to us all, the Land being claimed most likely might belong to the Bantu Botatwe, they are the original Zambians like native Americans.

    • @ Mwanawakwitu, the Bantu botatwe includes the Lenje speaking. Lenjes are not part of Tongas. Lenjes migrated from the Luba Lunda kingdom in the DRC. Did you know that the Bembas and Lenjes are from the same Luba Kingdom? Yes they are! the Kaondes, Solis, Bembas – they all originate from Kola in the DRC. Though lenjes feel closer to Tongas they are actually Luba like the Kaondes,Bembas, Lambas etc.

  6. what happen if a Tonga goes to copperbelt what language is he going to use? which invoice, receipt is he going to use? is he going to come with his own receipt? if your child goes to UNZA which language is he/she going to use. zambia has 72 tribes. What about secondary and primary level. 72 teachers teaching math, 72 teaching civics and so on. As youths of today don’t fill our brains with your hatred. Already there is inter marriages. Hatred is cancer remove it. what I have observed is that Old people are no longer giving out wisdom any more but hatred. people who are talking of secession look at their ages they are between 60 and 100yrs. Malimba Masheke finished politician he was Prime Minister in KK govt. why didn’t he bring that subject up. Now that he is broke he wants to confuse…
