Kalaba: We wont take Malawi lightly

Zambia captain Rainford Kalaba says he expects a competitive game against Malawi.

Zambia host Malawi in a friendly this Sunday at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.

“Especially for us Zambia each team we play wants to beat us because of the 2012 AFCON victory,” Kalaba said.

“So each team we play always come stronger to prove a point , to show that they can also beat us, we just have to respect them.”

Meanwhile, Kalaba joined the team ahead of the Malawi friendly on Wednesday evening in Lusaka together with his TP Mazembe club mates Given Singuluma and Kabaso Chongo.

Nathan Sinkala joined the team on Tuesday.

  1. Malawi used to give us a headache during the time of Chamwangana at the time when Zambian soccer was real good soccer.

  2. We also used to whack them 7-1, 5-0 etc during the era of Kalusha and Charles Musonda…..lol
