  1. This time we need to vote for a young, Healthy and rich man for President. Why young? We need someone with fresh Ideas, someone who is active to get the job done. Why healthy, we do not want another cabbage in state house, so lets all say no to Sata, we do not want to have a reputation of having stting Presidents dieying. Why rich? The Zambia Ministers a now money hungly, if we vote for a poor charecter no matter how good he is, they are going to turn him into a plunderer. You all know waht happenend when you voted for the pennyless bus conductor(Chiluba).

HH is the man we need, young, rich and very Healthy

  2. #1 Propaganda minister, engage your brain before you put your mouth in gear. Mobutu and Mugabe were also once young, rich and healthy but look what they did to their countries!

  3. #2 What makes u suggest that HH can be like Mobutu and Mugabe? Lets see your entillegency, engange your brain, i waiting for your response.

  4. #3 get me straight, the notion is that ANY young, rich and healthy leader, including your HH, is vulnerable to corruption. So the emphasis here must not be on visible qualities (age, wealth or health) but rather on unseen qualities like wisdom and integrity. You dig?

  5. HH is not the right person for Zambia and he will never be president.I was for Mazoka but not this guy.We have a leadership vacuum sadly, but we need people like Miyanda, Chirwa and Fundanga.Iwish Chirwa could not associate himself with the MMD because that tarnishes his image.Miyanda is in the wrong party and is too idealistic, Fundanga has no time to build his political CV. It is very sad but the current situation of leadership vacuum, will lead to SATA. Mayo! God help us!

  6. #4 is right, we need people of experience,,,,,,,,people with a vision for the majority not people who we didnt know who were introduced to us as a party president………..remember HH was also part of the privatisation of ZCCM………he aint a saint

  7. A book of condolences has been opened at Soweto Market. For details go to the Market entrance and ask for the chairman since the books opened by Government has categories of who should sign for them (v.i.p), this one does not have any categories as it caters for anyone as long as they are Peace Loving ZAMBIANS and want to pay their last repsects to the President.

  8. This time we need a leader who has experience, honest, mature, inteligent like LPM, kind and who is ready to fight corruption. We don’t want corrupted leaders.
Please God grant us the leader who has good qualities and he should have a heart for his people.
Weldone U.S mission for opening a book of condolences and God bless.

  9. If she has any intentions then it should not be during the forth coming elections maybe the 2011 ones but if she has then I will be very annoyed because she is in mourning right now atleast for the next six months she should be.

So that LPM can rest in Peace, bantu bazamuonelamo because already some are partly blaming her for letting an ailing husband work under strainous conditions of the Presidents’ office.

  10. The list of candidates so far put forward is uninspiring.

    Sata is sick,
Godfrey Miyanda looks like he has no clue,
RB is not popular in his new party,
Magande is a Mr Know-it-all loud mouth
Others are simply not easy to sell…

Oh waite God has given us HH.

  11. #14 Dear, you forgot one important person on your list:-
thats me, beautiful. You need a beautiful young lady like me for presidency. And not that stupidity you keep talking about.Nonsense

  12. whoever we are given is not an issue right now. what should be an issue is continuity. viva the hour. wait for 2010 and rule. a bye election should not disturb the economic path we have embarked as an honour to the spirit of levy. let MMD postpone the bye election. we should not have the luxury to start spending recklessly on bye elections that can be postponed. let us for once learn to prioritise. what is it about democracy that we should be eating it. we need fertiliser and other necessities. bye elections could be held at the of the rain season.

  13. #7 There is no need for speculations and it’s rather too early to tell, who the right man is, but when the time comes, it is our duty to cast ballots on the basis of crediblity and not to be led by ulterior motives.

  14. My sincerest and deepest condolences go out to the Mwanawasa family and my fellow Zambians.

I believe the dicussions above are a little premature. Our priority right now is to reflect on the life of Dr. Mwanawasa, his contribution to Zambia and the tribute we can pay to him and his family in this time of sorrow. Lets bury our beloved leader first, there will be time to discuss his successor.

  15. Imwe, in the story above, is that the same Ben Kangwa aleshaina ku ZNBC? Nomba ni secretary wamu Embasssy ku US? Secretary waba Ambassador? But nangu kutemwa dollar, he stopped a good job as a shining star pamulabasa kuyaba fye secretary? Dollar!! Limbi ni Ben Kangwa umbi but nshimu mona pa TV these days. I think ewo. Dollar, Dollar, Dollar!

  16. # 19 The Ben Kangwa of ZNBC was suspended the last i heard, something to do with broadcasting some show that was X rated and shouldnt have shown pa Z.

  17. The time is now that all Zambians should awake from their deep slumber of ignorance, lets vote HH, young, healthy, intelligent, successful and rich.

We do not need dead man walking(Sata) in plot 1, nor do we want poor and ignorant(RB) who will end up like bus conductor(Chiluba), by plundering with this money hungly cabinet we have.Neither do we want the clueless(Godfrey Miyanda)he will lose track of the good economical direction that the Cabbege but hard working(LPM) left us in.Nor do we want the I know it all(Magande) who will not be able to listen to advise as he thinks that he know better than anybody else, this will reduce investor confidence in Zambia.

    Lets all vote HH.

  18. So #20, where is this Ben kangwa of ZNBC now? We still do not see him on TV any more. Does he still remain suspended? Can wo Francis Ndovi or wo Calisto Hacitamfya say something about the where abouts of their boss if they have access to the internet please.

  19. Ladies and gentlemen, Your urguments are very interesting. Maureen may for for it under cover that she was forced to do so by the cardres. Given the vacuum of leadership lets not rule out her possibility. But surely we need a fresh leader irrrespective of the party he/she comes from.

  20. Dear BlamelessChild. Though your nane suggests the contrally, I find u at blame. HH is the man but do not demonize all the other candidates. Be sincere

  21. Vote for makuna. What we need rite nw is a leader. The person who said the by election shud be postponed is an *****. Seriously how long do u want zambia to stay without a leader. Thats jus plain dumb. Vote makuna

  22. let Maureen mourn her husband and father of her children. I do not think it prudent for to contemplate the post of president. First and foremost her supporters have already started changing camps because very simply she no longer has the power she weilded as “First Lady”. No more heads can role! Abantu balansunguluka ngefintu fyachinjya” She is either in shock nangu alipama-She needs to be human as she mourns her husband-the tears need to roll because she will soon realise that she is alone without her husband-I know what I am talking about.
