LT Update

February 23, 2009

This update serves to inform you that the update is about 60% done. There are still a number of features which are yet to be rolled out. We shall have to wait and see for now how the site performs before we can roll out the other 40 %

Please use this thread to give us feedback on how the site is performing and looking on your end as we continue to do further optimizations. We would greatly appreciate feedback from those using the old and dying Internet Explorer 6 browser.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvience caused. We shall issue a comprehensive update on how to the new features.

  I agree with you on this one, but on the other hand LT wants to ensure that people like us put something into writing!! It is not always an easy task to describe how one feels in writing. We prefer signs!! But that is a very minor issue. LT this is good move. Cheers

FEEDBACK:The site is good, perfect, professional, International standard, fast and theonly problem is, it will take time for some of us to familiarise with the ‘gravator’

I will ‘graciously’ ask Jam@co to kindly extend his lectures on how to get this right, and I mean ‘kindly’ in here.

I actually like the new look. It gives the site a more professional look than the typical wordpress template that was used before.

I especially like the new reply and character available features.

Just one little thing I have noticed is the stories are not as easy to find as they where on the old template. But otherwise…feeling good and impressed so far.

hm, updates are usually good and I kinda like this one too. are you looking forward to introduce registration? i think that would great too coz you can more of deal with reckless bloggers should they disobey the rules rather than just scripting some filters which are not that effective since we all know what bad words are even if abbreviated!!

Bloggers this Site is perfect!! Especially that one does not need to create a long list of entries and full of references to other entries!! I like the fact that you can directly REPLY to the individual you want by clicking on that person’s Entry!! This is great !!
It is also important for people reading through the Comments to make a clean and clear follow up. That is what LT has improved!! Please keep up the good work LT and I am sure that if bloggers seriously take some time to capture the idea being this, they will enjoy it just as I am. There is more to it. Above all there is SIMPLICITY in it! Some Wonder how I keep changing Pics! Even that is very simple!!

I couldn’t access the site over the weekend but when i did this morning i was impressed with the new changes however,LT needs to improve on that ”YOU ARE POSTING TOO FAST” feature,i had that message on my frist comment.

Having blogged the whole day, i now have a different view of this new look LT. Its confusing, you are unable to pick out the latest comments and you are forced to keep going back just to check if someone replied to your comments. Also, its slow…very slow and messages are not lined in the first in format. The previous LT was simpler. Its not about looks. For me its about simplicity. This one just doesnt cut it for me. Actually, its even tiring!!

Your new page looks better, we appreciate you mostly because you put our suggestions into consideration. Thank you for that. LT, I would love you guys to increase your layout font. Also please consider having a daily picture gallery. Its unfortunate to observe that all newspapers in Zambia are short on pictures. For instance I have been living out of Zambia for 10 yrs and yesterdays news that a Zambian players scored a hat-trick in Ivory Coast., guess what? Not one newspaper showed his image!
