Itezhi-Tezhi fisherman arrested for defiling step daughter

A man of Magazine fishing camp in chief Kaingu’s chiefdom of Itezhi-Tezhi district has been arrested for allegedly defiling his 13 year old step daughter.

Foster Nyambe, a fisherman, is alleged to have defiled his step daughter in Magazine compound last week when his wife was away from home.

Itezhi-Tezhi police sources have confirmed the arrest of Nyambe, who is currently under custody at Itezhi-Tezhi district police station.
He will appear before Magistrates Mubita Munalula on 26 May 2006.

Meanwhile, a 24 year old man of Masemu compound in Itezhi-Tezhi district is battling for his life in the district hospital after he was hit by a vehicle.

Folosi Mukama sustained bruises on his head and hands after the Toyota light truck hit him last Friday.

A check by ZANIS at Itezhi-Tezhi district hospital revealed that the man was still admitted to hospital but out of danger.
