Share

The Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) has arrested opposition Patriotic Front Ndola Central Member of Parliament Mark Mushili for alleged money laundering involving over six billion Kwacha.

DEC Spokesperson John Nyawali, who confirmed the arrest of Mr. Mushili, said the parliamentarian aged 61, a resident of Doctor Damme Street, kansenshi in Ndola, was arrested for siphoning fuel worth two billion Kwacha from TAZAMA Pipeline Limited by false pretences using Anegi Oils Limited.

Mr. Nyawali said the parliamentarian has been arrested for fraudulent activities in Anegi Oils involving four billion kwacha and theft of twenty million kwacha from Anegi Oils Limited.

The opposition Member of Parliament has received his arrest as political persecution.

Speaking to his PF sympathizers a minute after he was ordered to remove shoes and switch off his mobile phone at Ndola Central Police, Mr. Mushili cautioned all opposition politicians to be wary of political persecution.

  1. Has anyone realized that Senior Citizen known for his brazen bashes on the opposition with articulate spin doctoring on matters of politics, public policy, economics, democracy and constitutional law, is deafeningly silent on criminal matters. He never commented on Dr.Katele Kalumba’s conviction, Chiluba/ regina cases, RP capital tribunal, and now on Dr. Musonda’s case. Can someone explain why he is mute and absent on all threads carrying criminal matters? Why doesn’t he spin on criminal matters when he has tireless on matters of economics, politics, democracy and constitutional law? The other thing is why is it that despite taking so many insults, SC does not fire back or any of the MMD propandists here return back insults to their enemies? Could it be a nature of propaganada training?

  2. #1 Ba Joze You behind time ,where were you ,what you are saying about the Senior citizen is total rubbish and yor wishful thinking which an embrasshment for a person of your level of education to post over this site. You must be ashamed of your shallow judjement of Senior Citizen. You are a disgrace.

  3. another kelenka robinhood stealing from the poor to bankrall pf thru mark motorways. now u all know were those buses covered in the blood of satan came from. ba mushili 61 but niba kazolo. thats your pf govt in waiting. others divorce wives and want to live them with nothing but ka virus. shemuna shame

  4. if this ***** stole from the poor Zambians then he must embrace his arrest. just because you are in the oppositions doesnt mean you go round stealing and when they arrest you, you start politicking the whole thing. i personally dont give a damn to any thief whether from the ruling part or opposition. however, what is scaring is these guys act very well when the issue involves the opposition. if it comes to mmd they do nothing. this is no recipe for justice. let the law be applied regardless of who is involved.

  5. #4 yaya and #7zedian good contributions, lets be upright be it mmd or pf/upnd kabolala ni kabolala not when a pf mp steals or breaks the law ati its political and when mmd is at fault they make noise. iwe mark motorways how can you say its poliyical when you helped yourself to 6billion. then naba sata will support you and lubinda and kakoma will issue a joint statement ati you being persecuted. ndende yagwila uzakamba kusogolo

  6. Ba YAYA due respect to you mwinsho.
Ok if it is true arrest this wanka has stolen. If he stole the oil do like wise arrest him. Damn thief you want to steal from us. Let the law rule. I am PF/UPND but I do not condone thieving by wankas who deprive the poor of good roads, health and food.
But senior citizen is wanka too. Together with bumlicker u are wanka too. All staunch RB wankas too

  7. Mushili is alleged to have money laundered & is immediately incacerated…………..Dr Musonda…….his case reffered to DPP & RB. Be warry people, what goes around comes around. MMD will not be in power forever, NO. There will come a time when they will have to live to face their actions…..one day, it may be 2011.I thought both cases are serious felonies? Double standards!!!!! In any case Zambians are jealousy of themselves. I have come to believe that Zambians would rather favour a thief than a hardworking person who earns his money and still yet call him satanist when even the churches we go to brood satanists. Hell zambia.

  8. am very disapointed by marks mushili’s dealings………………..am stonch PF but not this nonsense

  9. #1 Ba Joze, what does it tell you when you waste your time insulting somebody who does not return the insult – give up man, you are not in the same league.

  10. Please don’t jump to conclusions, As far as I’m concerned let the law take it course(if at all Zambia has one). Don’t judge. Mr Mushili is a hard working man, for those of us who know him.

  11. Hang this fool. This country should rule by laws for political affiliation. hang him. This is tantamount to ntional security

  12. If Mushili has committed a felony, then by all means, let him be prosecuted. All we ask is that the law should be applied evenly. Those who allegedly commit the felony of money laundering and those who allegedly commit murder or attempted murder must face the same swiftness of apprehension by the law enforcers. The police must not drag their feet when the alleged criminal has close association with those currently controlling the reins of power.

  13. Too bad abena marks motor ways but amugaiz alisungapo…hope this is not typical of the comedy of errors we have been seeing in the RB controlled law enforcement and judicial system:-?

  14. Money laundering is a very serious offense with the ability percentage of 100 to cripple a nation. I find it suitable to see the perpetrators of such evil vices are put behind solid metal bars for life. PF/UPND pacto members are not excluded from the laws of our land. This is the reason Satan or Ichilema should not be accorded the chance to dictate and launder money thru government chambers meant to protect our citizens.

  15. Ba Senior Citizen, I believe the only person who has crippled the nation is your grandfater Rupiah, with ifi mano fya mumpanga, ifya ku mushi.

  16. Our laws clearly stipulates and coherently define the punishment of money laundering which I personally consider an evil vice to the true values of democracy. Our criminal penal code shall spare no individual to go scot free for money laundering as long as the court docks can prove beyond any doubt. These PF/UPND cadres will continue masquerading themselves as agents of nationalism while money laundering…we need to have these chaps locked up and throw their cell key in the dungeons. Satan and Ichilema will be next once their money laundering scheme investigations are silently completed.
