Kabimba has no position in govenment, Lubinda clarifies

Foreign Affairs and Tourism minister Given Lubinda has clarified that patriotic front secretary general Winter Kabimba has no position in government.
Mr. Lubinda says as far as he is concerned, there is no government declaration stating that Mr. Kabimba is third in government.
He says the only statement made by President Michael Sata made was that Mr. Kabimba will be third in protocol at state functions.
Speaking in an interview with QFM, Mr. Lubinda says President Sata’s statement does not in any way mean that the PF SG has a position in government.
He says people should not fall in traps being set by the UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema and MMD presidential aspirant Nevers Mumba, who he says are only cheating themselves.

Kamwendo, wives of Presidents in civilised countries are acknowledged with their husbands, or immediately after their husbands. Wynter Kabimba’s position cannot be compared to the first lady. Kabimba should be totally ignored at state functions unlike if it’s a party function. Some of us non-partisan Zambians will not accept having a party functionary being pushed down our throats just because we happen to be attending that event.

Mr President, diid you know that your ascendance to power was not born out of a particular constituency of the Zambian society but an unanimous resolve by the Zambian people that no more were there going to be a govt wamuyayaya. Did you know that you’re not indebted to any particular somebody but the Zambian people. Whose interst is supreme and you Comrade President swore to defend and protect. The DBZ saga Comrade is a very serious as if not properly handled it’ll expose the duplicity in it’s actors. Kabimba’s status in PF Govt should have been clarified by either State House or the Republican Vice-President in the National Assembly. Given Lubinda’s response merely proves the extent of confusion in PF Govt. The guys have no clue on the meaning of PROTOCOL. The PF has transformed into a state when the mouth in the head says one thing as the anus (at the tail end) blows another vuvuzela sound (kusula fisushi!). CHAOS IN PF.
