Minister of Home Affairs Edgar Lungu says the Patriotic Front government will not sink so low and fabricate documents to implicate the United Party for National Development (UPND).

Mr. Lungu in an interview has instead reminded the UPND how it politically engineered the removal of Miles Sampa from southern province when he served as provincial minister.

He has observed that the UPND seems to be championing petty politics adding that the ministry of home affairs will not allow individuals with selfish political motives to cause confusion in the country.

Mr. Lungu has also warned the group calling itself Tongas under oath to desist from activities that have the potential to breach peace in the country.

He said government will not sit idle and allow individuals to destabilize the peace of the country.

Meanwhile, The Foundation for Democratic Process (FODEP) has implored political parties to desist from politics of name calling and focus on issue based politics.

FODEP Executive Director Macdonald Chipenzi says it sad to note that politicians are always trading accusations on petty issues instead of concentrating on issues affecting the Zambian people.

Mr.Chipenzi notes that there are a number of issues which politicians can focus on such as corruption, underdevelopment, and load shedding among others.
He since called for an end to politics of name calling.

Mr. Chipenzi has further challenged opposition political parties to come up with shadow cabinets in order to provide alternative solutions to the problems facing Zambians.

Mr. Chipenzi was speaking to QFM News in an interview.

  1. Its really petty!!! Let the law take it serious and arrest all those that are trying to breach the peace hat we have enjoyed.Let them not go far in the name of checks and balances when they are distabalising the nation.

  2. I wish Lungu could just shut up, vegetate in his position and be thankful that he is not removed. The i.d.i.o.t is clearly clueless. This issue has brought out the incompetent and the buffoons in the security forces, the media and among politicians.

  3. Then why did you fabricate falsehoods about Banda “the fugitive” yet you can’t prove to the South African govt that you have solid evidence to have him extradited? I wouldn’t trust your statement one aorta.

  4. Madness of the highest order, these drunks have to be voted out and those hoologans in opposition should never be put in power. I am coming to stand from the diaspora

  5. Its difficult to believe Edgar Lungu because higher up the PF ranks some individuals have a track record of fabricating in order to implicate…

  6. PF is already low! It’s performance has been poor, below expectation of the voters. Already there are contradictory statements from PF and ZP about that letter. What about the assassination threat? Is it not a hoax Mr Lungu?

  7. Pf is indeed a government of fools. Mr Lungu, the president already cleared the issue you are adressing & he said the person who wrote that letter is in Lusaka & the president knows that person. GBM & Sekeni are suspects & the president should fire them. Lungu kindly leave UPND out of your own propaganda at the expense of the piece of Zambian people.

  8. ba honourable just shut up… Sata was going to name the people who came up with the document if he believed it was created by people other than his people. No wonder the searching of UPND offices thinking the document had already been planted kanshi it had not yet. CNP

  9. Edgar Lungu and afew senseless individuals thot that the president and the whole nation wea going to blame the Tongas. Shame on you for the police are closing up. Nowonder they took a rash to publish the story. They would hav waited and possibly deal with it internally. Now their desired result is not what is on ground. Dont be bitter coz the zambian peolpe bembas and tongas inclusive have detested and hav known your cheap propaganda. You will soon be arrested.

  10. This man is really confused. your presuident has said it is just propaganda and you continue hallucuinating and warning the so called Tongas On Oath. This one will end up being fired just like the other who was fired not long ago becuase of boot leaking where it is not necessary..

  11. Even though am a pure Tonga Bull,i would not fight the Bemba People coz nothing would be achieved. Each one of us should work hard bettering oneself and family Members.

  12. Mr hopeless minister ,Ninshi ukwikala fye mwacitako fimbi chilashupa? You are always giving outdated warnings even when your CNP has observed that it is an inside(pf)move hence struggling to mention the names as he fully knows them.

  13. This is the guy who deported someone with two work permits (1 for Zambia and the other for Sierra Leone) – something which is not an offence in Zambia or any other country I know of.

  14. OUR POLITICIANS ARE ALWAYS A LET DOWN. EDGER LUNGU IS A SEASONED LAWYER AND SHOULD BE TRUTHFUL WITH HIS STATEMENTS. SURELY SINCE WHEN DID A STATE BEEN FOUND TO SITTING IDLE WHILST INDIVIDUALS ARE BREACHING PEACE OF THE NATION.WE NEED SERIOUS MINDS TO PROVIDE SOLUTIONS TO OUR MANY PROBLEMS FACED AS A COUNTRY. IT APPEARS EACH TIME HH OR NEVERS OPEN THEIR MOUNTHS THE ENTIRE GOVT SYSTEM CATCHES THE COLD. THE PF HAS FOUND ITSELF IN A SITUATION LIKE A POOR WORKMAN BLAMING HIS TOOLS FOR POOR WORKMANSHIP. WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES BUT LETS CORRECT OURSELVES AND CHART WAY FORWARD AS ONE PEOPLE WHO HAVE ONE COMMON DESTINATION. ITS LIKE WE ARE PULLING EACH OTHER DOWN WITHOUT PROGRESSING. LETS CHANGE THE WAY WE DO THINGS AS A NATION.

  15. Is our Minister up to his task, sometimes it is wise to shut up. I think GBM has learnt his lesson cause his tricks have been exposed and he is our Minister of Defence my foot.

  16. obviously like your web site but you have to test the spelling on quite a few of your posts. Several of them are rife with spelling issues and I to find it very bothersome to inform the reality however I??ll definitely come again again.
