NAREP Members resign

Time Posted: March 15, 2013 7:48 pm

National Restoration Party (NAREP) National Secretary Mike Muyawala, Presidential Spokesperson Chilufya Lechembe and National mobilisation Chairman Probby Chama have officially resigned with immediate effect.

Speaking in an interview with ZANIS in Lusaka this afternoon, the trio who gave no reasons for their resignation said in the course of next week the nation will be informed of their reasons and the way forward.

Speaking on behalf of the trio, Former NAREP National Secretary Muyawala thanked their former party leader Elias Chipimo Junior, the National Executive Committee (NEC) and the entire NAREP family for the time they spent together.

Mr. Muyawala said the trio are still making consultations across the country and beyond on the next course of political action.

He said by the time the reasons will be communicated a huge number of members from NAREP would have also resigned.

He noted that to every leader, is a group of followers adding that the same applied to them.

The three have further wished their former party well in all its future endeavours.

This is devastating to Ka Chipimo, we used to advise him to stop whatever he was posting at LT and commenting on people of low calibre like Mushota. He is a juvenile that boy, he has 15 years to learn leadership. He should just join us in self exiled.

Guys I don’t know much about this NAREP, but judging from all these names I find it hugely disappointing that like UPND and PF, NAREP also seems to be a TRIBAL party. This is bad for Zambia and belongs to the stone age. So far, the only objective and all inclusive political party was the original MMD of 1991. Sadly, Chiluba betrayed people’s trust by using it as a tool for looting the country, than later Nevers and RB raped it of its original ideals. So, it will take another ensemble of upright and well meaning men and women to rescue our beloved country. The current economic boom in Zambia needs a very energetic, educated, hardworking and loyal breed of politicians to revitalize this sleeping giant called ZAMBIA !

This was a long time coming. We all share in Narep and chipimo’s vision but he needs to be more inclusive and less of a dictatorial one man show!
NAReP needs to open up and change its image to more of a people’s movement that’s one mans show

When we started NAREP especially in L/stone we were certain to will 2011 polls until the presido only sponsored himself to contest and left MP aspirants to fend for themselves, that is when NAREP began to die. It has such progressive values which PF and UPND the only remaining true parties could learn from. I think now NAREP is finally dead.

They left after Chipimo revealed the truth about Sata and his project of creating a Bemba empire through his tribal appointments. Welcome to the larger Zambian family cousin Chipimo! Let the tribalist Bembas flock to their tribal benefactor!

Politics of poverty – all about the stomach and lining their pockets and nothing to do with principles or conviction of the cause. What consultation and which people other than their wives and girlfriends.

Its normal for northerners to tear each other like that. And usually its something to do with the pocket. Check this trend in Pentecostal churches where the northerners make the most numbers. Break away from Pastor Chisha by Apostle Lombe to Bishop Mwila’s Church. And its always finances and Oh yes, Power!

I saw this coming because Junior Chipimo has too many theories!Politics and academics dont just agree sometimes especially in Africa. The things Chipimo writes in LT are all theoretical and most of them cannot be implimented in our environment.Chipimo is behaving like a political science lecturer who is not a politician himself and tha is why he is losing his memebers.Get real man or else you will join HH’s canoe which is almost capsizing!!

I have always said it that this No Rape is not a political party but just a youth wing of PF. The funding from PF went low after spending money buying opposition MPs and conducting by elections. So the public should not be fooled by these fake resignations. The group has simply run out of money.
