Leader of the newly founded Alliance for Better Zambia Fr Frank Bwalya has accused the Zambia Police Service of holding up the process of registering his party.

In a statement issued by his personal assistant for press and public relations Emmanuel Chilekwa, Fr. Bwalya said the Zambia Police should release the papers in order for his party to finalise the registration process.

“Father Bwalya regrets and refutes the impression given in the media that the Registrar of Societies of blocking registration of the party called, Alliance for a Better Zambia, ABZ. There is nowhere Fr. Bwalya ever stated that the Registrar of Societies, Mr. Kanganja is delaying registration of our intended party, the Alliance for Better Zambia, ABZ,” the statement said.

“The crux of the matter is that Fr. Bwalya expressed dismay at the Zambia Police’s manner of asking him what he perceived as “funny questions”, which were political and not from a professional service men and women during the procedural interview held in Room 70 at Lusaka Central Police.”

It added, “In fact, Fr. Bwalya could not even bring in the Registrar of society because only until when Police releases the scrutiny papers handed to them, there is no way Fr. Bwalya could go to the Registrar of Societies for a return visit. The Registrar is just awaiting our presentation of the papers from Police.”

It said, “So, before then, there is nothing Fr. Bwalya could do to process the papers for registration of ABZ as a political party. It’s now over three weeks since the papers were lodged with Zambia Police, a process that is supposed to take a mere three days. Therefore, it is malicious and incorrect to infer that Fr. Bwalya has blamed the Registrar of societies for the delay in the registration of ABZ as a political party.”

Fr Bwalya has since appealed to Zambia Police to release the papers so that he could present them to the Registrar of Societies.

    • And if it was PF, someone would barked that Chellah should not issue statements on behalf of the President

    • Pa mboto!!! the last sign which Fr Bwalya saw,, before leaving PF and forming his party was the drying of kapinga and state house,,, that kapinga has NEVER dried before since time beyond independence…so believe or not,,, PF will not be sticking around for long!!!!

What is happening in our beloved country Zambia ?
If i may ask 1,2 OR 3, questions:
1.why most of people in Zambia think that only going to S.house is the best way of finding solutions or helping poor pipo? does it mean that no one can come up with the ideas of helping poor pipo in the country without going to plot 1? these may bring confusions in country, because politics in Zambia is full of insults to each other. These pipo are making Zambia to be so cheap, almost all the of them worked in the G.R.Z before ,and within 2weeks 2pipo decide to form political parties, for what reasons? which pipo do they think will vote for them?

comments please! be brief and to the point , donot be allover the place with your hate, your love and your frustrations..or maybe its the english language which takes you round and round,,, try to use chitonga, or chibemba, or silozi or chikalubale.. or just shut up

    • That is where the resources to do so are. Many people would like to help Zambia just like SATA did to the extent of lying to the Zambian people to go and control the national resources from State house.

Honest speaking, and if i am not mistaken, only in Zambia so far i have seen or hear pipo abandoning GOD because of politics e.g Mr .N. mumba and F.Bwalya, seriously abandoned spreading the words of GOD because of politics……? it puzzling me alot and giving me question marks that ,why and what makes these 2 pipo to do this? is it because of money or they just want the whole world to know that they also existing on earth?

    • Because you have never traveled outside Zambia and you are not well educated therefore you cannot follow global politics logically. You are confined to your small box. if you cant think outside the box, then buy a big one so that you can broaden your horizon.

Zambians! We are too lazy, fast in judging and jealous to others.
why say that we too lazy, we don’t want to work hard for the better future, all we want is something for free, you will find that where there is free things, 75% of the pipo who at the venue are Zambians. we also like pipo who always talk about free things, there, no matter what, we will never change or develop in Zambia.

why do we judge so fast? working hard is the best way of achieving and become some body in life, not expecting some to give or offer you something for free. Zambians , we demand more than we work, and we easily forget that some of us, we go for work late and on top of that we also want to run away from work.
jealous. In Zambia, we can not see some 1 doing fine in life or offehe money r job…

Zambians, lets stop accepting any person who just sleep and dream that he or she can rule Zambian.look in party 1. said these pipo worked the GRZ before, means that they money they are getting or making will help them to go to plot 1 to start geting more money that will only help their families, as a voter will remain eating left over and fighting for nothing.

    PARTY.5.
conclusion:lets try to work with the currently Government rattan than wasting time on saying this person can do better than this 1, it will be wamuyayaya like that, nothing will change in Zambia .if the opposition parties really wants to help and fight for better life of the Zambians, let them start developing now, because we can tired of waiting for some to go plot 1 and then fails to do ze job.

  5. Dear Fr Bwalya, be patient, the papers left police head quarters and went to Luanshya to be seen by sports minister, after he had a good laugh, he sent them to kasama for GBM who too fell off the treadmill with uncontrolable laughter, who in turn sent them to the secretary general at Kabimba and associates also known as ministry of justice, whi hand delivered them to State house for the president, the president has been busy scratching his head over how to deal with the Banda saga and then he has HH next in line then it will be your turn. we are not professionals in this country, we are just bembas in the right place, so just say 3 million hail marys and we will get back to you.

  6. @HH nichitundu bwanji chamene musebenzesa kulemba baba? ati with the currently government, … if the opposition parties really wants to help…let them start developing now, because we can tired of waiting for some to go plot 1 and then fails to do ze job…ndiye vichani ivo?..LOL.

  7. The kingdom of politicians is a group of mad people, why, they stop to see what humanity as a whole expect from them, hence each one of them want to form an individual party, no friendship.

  8. To Fr Bwalya, never opt to work alone, you are not popular enough.Don’t be deceived, when you get deceived you become a tool for them, stop it!

  9. Only in zambia where you need a police consent to register your party. Now do we still deny that the zambian police service is a political tool?

    • Ba EnkA Ubufi. Are you telling us world over no back ground checks are done before you register a political party?

  10. It would have been better if Fr Franky remained a priest rather than indulging himself in this dirty job. He used to make a good priest. Anyways, i wish him all the best in his new dimension of his life.

  11. I’m told that ba boss (Sata) took Fr Bwalya’s application form to ethopia. I’m told ba boss is not impressed with Fr Bwalya’s a million proposed products and services he want to deliver to market. Ba boss is of a view that Bwalya unlimited scope of work is too much for one person. Fr Bwalya wants to buy pots, cook nshima, kapenta, repair potholes, aircraft, shoe-repair, get married, etc. Ba Boss just want Fr Bwalya to perfect his cooking for now.

  12. While wishing Fr.Frank Bwaly every success in his new earthly/political endeavours. I regret for him to be tagging the Holy Catholic Church into disrepute. Lots of us, former priests, religious and even seminarians have peacefully and quietly left the Holy Priesthood, only awaiting upon the mercy of God for abandoning such vocation. Sacramentally, Frank is still a priest till death, but socially and by faith, he should in humility adopt title of Mr. Frank Bwalya, since by his conduct he is no longer reverend, and should stop to politically identify himself with the Catholic Church for sake of seeking populality. He has now reverted to being an ordinary member, free to contest elections without counting on support from Catholics, but rather from some Zambians with faith in his leadership

  13. Leave father frank alone.we cnt allow so many things to go wrong in our country and continue to hope that one day things will be fine.we have by elections almost every other month.our cabinet has balooned.the number of deputy ministers has doubled from the last time i checked and yet the president is busy removing subsides.we may only sacrifice on when we know that our leaders are not geting 100% pay rise.our opposition is divided.the government knows that father Bwalya is a threat.thats why the govt is delaying the registration of his party.

    • Bro JJ, I am one of the suffering Zambians but strongly believe even Mr. Frank Bwalya could not be the solution to our plights. The rich are getting richer, the poor getting poorer, the answer could not be in politics, rather in the whole nation to change our mind- set, after elections we should embark on useful productivity through hard work at all levels. Politicking will never put food on the table. All politicians are liars and self- appeasing they always take poor people for a ride. Just work hard at anything good you will get yourself out of poverty.

  14. A liquor licence can take 6 months to process, why should a political party registration take 3 days? People should also realise that Bwalya is not the only one the police are dealing with, there are people who brought their papers earlier than him. It seems like Bwalya like special favours in everything he does and this could his weakness. Special favours leads to corruption, he has to learn to be patient in life. This blame game will not take him anywhere, you cannot go around accusing people without any evidence and he should learn what a queue is! He should follow the line like everybody else and wait for the police to make their decision freely without false accusations. For a former priest, truth should be his pillar not lies or rumours!

  15. For laughs:
People were arguing as to which was the oldest profession. The surgeon said surgery was the oldest since God had to operate on Adam to get material to make Eve. The architect said no, the oldest profession was architecture since God had to create the world and order out of chaos. Then the politician, seated a little off, said: BUT SOMEONE HAD TO CREATE THE CHAOS before all that!!

  16. @Heya
I think u ar vry right to say that. In BEMBA we say, umwana ashenda atasha nyina ukunaya. We ar movin wth time n technology is de special way to clear ubututu in our country isuculu lya pamapepala mu UNIP, M comin back to Zambia vry soon n i wil make sure dat computer age gets to control the economy not by talking u think u can solve the issue of povrt no, its work.. guys abroad n those withn lets work together bcose we have seen where we are still behind in all the sectors. I neva wnted to come back bt i hv resolved to come not to form a political party bt my own government only a wise can understand that. Italian saying; non vivere per lavolare ma lavolare per vivere meaning we need to work in order to live n not to live in order to work fulustope!

  17. The best to deal with frank bwalya, let him register his party and participate in elections.zambians are they ones to reject him.
