ACC’s Officers stole Ryan Chitoba’s K10m?

Share

The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has denied allegations by suspended Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) Commissioner, Ryan Chitoba that ACC officers who searched his Kafue property on March 11, stole K10 million cash from the premsies.

The ACC has also denied assertions by Mr. Chitoba that the search was related to the on-going theft case against him before Principle Resident Magistrate, Charles Kafunda.

ACC Director of Investigations, Edwin Sakala, 49, told the court that the search is not related to the on-going case.

At the last sitting Mr. Chitoba had complained that while he attended Court, ACC officers searched his home in circumstances related to an on-going theft case and K10 million was stolen from his home.

The complaint prompted Magistrate Kafunda to summon Mr. Sakala and ACC Senior Investigations Officer, Foster Hamuyube who led the search party to explain their investigations.

Mr. Chitoba’s lawyer Mwangala Zaloumis was not present in Court and Magistrate Kafunda ordered that the hearing continues without her.

This was despite a plea by Mr. Chitoba that the court adjourns the matter, to enable his lawyer attend the hearing.

Mr. Chitoba is facing a charge of theft by public servant and abuse of authority of office when he served at DEC commissioner.

  1. That’s utter nonsense and Chitoba’s claims have to be investigated further and if not true he should be sued again!

  2. We all all know that ploy..when visited by law enforcement officers in your ‘absence’, accuse them of stealing your loot.
But Mr. Chitoba should know better especially coming from that background. That was really a cheap ploy just concentrate on defending yourself in court.

  3. This is just another way of trying to divert the attention from the real issue. Where the true is it shall be brought to light.

  4. THESE ACC OFFICERS TOOK ADVANTAGE OF THE SITUATION AND STORE THE GUY’S CASH. “AFTER ALL HE IS ACCUSED WHATEVER HE WILL SAY WONT BE HEARD”. DIRTY MINDED COPS.

  5. He is a real thief. How do you keep K10 Million cash in the house? This should be part of the money he is acused of stealing. What a shameless thief. He is cheating.

  6. His claims are out of reach. How can he put K10,000,000 in the house, it shows how criminal minded he is by making this claim. Chitoba is a crook ask those who have worked with him in KB when he was commanding officer. Levy would have consulted ZP high command.

  7. we need to find out how much of the contributions reach the intended.how about census or billboard advertisments to encourage patronage to the web site as a way of disemination and enlightment of the public. we need more than ever feed back guys on our contributions

  8. Chitoba don’t cheat those are monkey tricks which will not assist you at all.My good advise is that just concetrate on defending yourself iwe kabwalala.

  9. And such petty scum of the world once hearded the most important arms of the law fighting against drug trafficking? It’s like Chiluba exclaiming the sweetness of power at a news conference, very sad indeed the kind of characters that land in the Zambian corridors of power.

  10. Imwe mwe bantu, where do you expect ba Chitoba to keep his K10m if/when all his bank accounts get ‘very full’?

  11. Please expedite the process of putting this thing behind bars. Even after stealing he exhibits little or no contrition. Zambia is flooded with these superstars who are intent to impress with their dazzling array of tricks when it comes to putting their filthy hands on the national treasury. We should exercise harsher punishment on these parasites. Its really annoying that fools like this one can just tap our money while we watch. I know that corruption and theft are correlated to poverty levels but the irony here is that its these comfortable guys who show more zest for pilfering than the average man. Together with defilers this is one breed we need to rid of with a passion…
