Sata’s reconciliation is sincere, Munkombwe

Share

Southern Province Minister Daniel Munkombwe says Patriotic Front president ,Micheal Sata is a formidable force
who should not be written off even if people may not like him.

Mr Munkombwe said in his reconciliation message, Mr Sata clearly indicated that he was not joining the MMD, a
move that clearly showed that he had an honest intention and should not be rejected by anyone.

Mr Munkombwe said this in Livingstone today when Science, Technology and Vocational Training deputy minister Lucy Changwe paid a courtesy call in him at his office.

He said following the reconciliation, the MMD and the Patriotic Front will now face each other in a properly
marked field.

Mr Munkombwe said Mr Sata had realised that it was difficulty to play outside the field hence the move to
reconcile.

Mr Munkombwe described the reconciliation as progressive and appealed to Zambians not to take a
leaf from other African countries where their differences were leading their countries into
problems.

”We should not start learning to have problems. People should not emulate those countries that are in
problems because that is not our tradition. It does not pay to live in isolated political camps,” he
said.

And Science, Technology and Vocational training deputy minister Lucy Changwe said Mr Munkombwe was a veteran
politician whose words of wisdom could go a long way in unifying the country.

Ms Changwe said the government had a huge mandate from the people of Zambia to deliver development and to
ensure that resources are equitably distributed.

She said government was trying everything possible to improve the learning environments in higher institutions.

And Vice President Rupiah Banda has commended President Levy Mwanawasa and opposition Patriotic Front (PF) leader Michael Sata for reconciling after many years of exchanging unkind political words.

Mr. Banda said the reconciliation between Dr. Mwanawasa and Mr. Sata has quenched any prospect of a political disaster, adding that this development entailed that the two would now focus their energies on national development issues.

He said Zambia needed spirit of reconciliation for the posterity of the future.

He said the country has for the first time, scored a huge reconciliation milestone since attaining Independence on October 24, 1964.

“I take this opportunity to express special and indeed ward felicitations to the President Levy Mwanawasa, for the initiative he has taken of rapprochement with the PF leader Mr. Sata. Everybody agrees that this development exhibited by the two leaders, will mean that the country will now focus much of its energies on national developmental issues,” he said.

This week, President Mwanawasa and Mr. Sata held private talks at State House and help a joint press briefing at which they announced that they had put aside all their differences.

  1. Ba Munkombwe kaka syanene mwacembaala. Amusiile bana eli fuwa ndyobati politics bakokote abalo. ‘Mabondo alashaala kaabbwa’.
Maanu a MUGABE tatwayandi ku Musanza.

  2. Daniel Munkombwe is another bootlicker….mpombo and likes….cheap bootlickers that should not be allowed to hold public office. these two m@ther f@ckers would sacrifice their own children or f@ck their mothers to please LPM. I am tired of these old useless good for nothing leaders. I am sorry i no longer have kind words for men with intergrity….career politicians that prey on the ingnorance of the masses.

you made me laugh, but i think you are right. you have a wicked sence of humor!!!!!!!!!!

  4. coming from a kombwe , we know he just kokolikoing coz he got kiss ass like he always do. he’s a disgrace to his family!

  5. Mwaiche Chapi,
I regret to see how much you have been devastated with unfolding developments on the ground.Welcome to Politics 101 where strategy matters. Methinks druggy PF cadre you’ve reverted on “Oxycotin”,lost your senses, strategy but sweating with your mouth dripping froth and bitterness.Call me all the names and link me to all unpalatable language you dream of under “Oxycotin”,you will never hear me avoid the existing communication channels for corrective proposals.Insults and the subnormal diatribes you are entrenched in have no place in winning politics of progressives. This is why even Sata has retired from such leaving flabbergasted, mesmerized and epileptic on unsubstantial malice

  6. Mwaiche Chapi,
Some of us do realize & sympathize with you on how much shock you are in. Empirically we have identified everything that you are, a mentally disqualified and disillusioned young man staged here to do the hopeless insulting and defamation assignments of people’s elected leaders also our national symbol of statehood. I wish you had some dissent education to foster the understanding that your devil’s advocacy is has zero success. We have exercised restraint to give you space of thriving in your PF fantasy & not that we cannot strip you to the edge of your madness, but to allow dissent an asset Zambia treasures. Challenge us to escalate beyond our restraint.

  7. Mwaiche Chapi,

On your malicious acts of laboring to dress me the shushushu tag, I just laugh and brush it as “gas” straight from an unethically desperate surrogate too discomburated, unpatriotic and ignorant to the core to appreciate the power structures and real clear politics at play. The so called Shushushus I guess you men those from the secret service, like in any nation-state building here in Zambia they are our heroes. They are Global servants of sustainable peace and justice we enjoy without whom no nation or leadership could survive. You fanatics who graduated from some Saudi-financed “Madrassas” in Pakistan hate them with passion but to your own declining days.

  8. Mwaiche Chapi,

If I was young enough, I could have even considered serving the nation through their structures. Anyway, my eldest brother already contributed having served as DG during the liberation days a fact I salute him. Your unethical act under desperation only confirms how shallow and ignoble you are. A visionary person who understand power structures and has sustainable leadership qualities would never risk with taking that route because its unparallel and unwinnable engagement I beat you.

  9. Mwaiche Pragmatist
You have laboured to avoid a simple challenge I threw your way.
May you kindly show how objective you`re by stating a single thing on any thread that you disagree with Levy?
I stand down to await your prompt response SIR.

  10. On self employment, I’m a trained political-economist too ethical to tear down our young men trying their best and encouraging themselves as emerging entrepreneurs.I appreciate your initiative to venture into reselling junk yard wrecked auto parts. I hope one day you will venture in real business. To be an entrepreneur you don’t really have to forget secular employment always. Late Mazoka was working for Anglo America yet he had chains of businesses.I have a useful business concerns handsomely sustaining my family beside my corporate world vocation.Besides that my spouse is now a blessed useful scientist. When i enter politics i wil do so with support and sustainable finances beyond my PAC.

  11. I have been asking you about the convention in your party PF when are you going to hold and democratize politics? Another health crisis God forbid?

  12. Mwaiche Chapi,
I love you and believe you could be relevant by choice in my team in the near future.I advise you to realign your life and meanwhile consider adding some value intellectually because my team is busy identifying thinking machines among progressive Zambians for future service. For now, its technocracy and learning besides channel advisory.Make big money because some of s are seriously in the portfolios build up and networking act.Watch the space.Insults and your PFism have no future.

    Peace

  13. Sata has always been MMD, watch him for evidence from now. I pity Zambians, we are always being fooled.

  14. Mwaiche Pragmatist
I love you too but it`s unecessary for you to align me with PF because I have chosen to stay neutral on the political front.
If you`re economically relevant and able to affect Zambia`s GDP then we`ll definately cross paths.

    Shalom

  15. People say politics is a dirty game.No it should not be,amongst all the definition of politics there is none which implies that it should be.It is us the people who makes it dirty.Though you differ on issues does not mean enemity or ill feelings.Saddly it nearly took someones life for Sata and Mwanawasa to shake hands.Politics is not animosity but about great ideas and great dreams for ones own country. This is a good path and must be encouraged by all well meaning people.Every thing has the begining, nor matter how that begining is,if it means good for the society it must be promoted

  16. Why do our politicians have to be so extreme. They are either knocking seven bells out of each other or they are engaging in some sort of mutual admiration orgy. There is nothing wrong with Sata opposing Levy constructively. What was ugly was the way the two fought like cats and dogs, with Levy only recently prosecuting Sata for defamation of the president. The new spectacle is equally nauseating in that Sata seems to behaving as though he has only just met Levy. He sounds desperate. One would be forgiven for thinking that he is planning to defect back to MMD.

  17. Sata’s conflict of interests

The current political developments have left a lot of us deluded, and from the turn of events, PF should start searching for a new leader if it is to avoid going into oblivion. Sata has created a perception that he has joined MMD and that being the case, he will always be mindful in his articulation not to differ in policy or in principle with MMD.

  18. He has entangled himself in a web of conflict of interest and therefore cannot independently articulate the issues on a solid ground. He will always be using borrowed legs to walk. Much as dialogue is important, I think we must also learn as leaders to respect the views of followers.Take for example the late Anderson Mazoka. Despite his illness he still remained steadfast in his beliefs and principles and did not compromise his stance in order to create a one party state, though the mistake that time was that the other members of the party did not plan for succession in time.

  19. PF should not, therefore, cheat itself that it is going anywhere with the changed political imperatives and so much shock and disbelief among the ardent followers.

My open indictment to the PF leadership is that there should be an immediate change of guard, failure to which there will be a bye bye sooner or later.

MMD has won the game with pants down on PF.UNIP was finished with a similar impromptu exit of Kaunda into unplanned retirement.

  20. There must be a secret only known to the MMD power base and confidants ever speaking with daring authority that MMD will reign beyond 2011.I look forward to know that mystery.Bye bye PF!

  21. I just wonder why too many educated pipo on this blog have
concluded that Sata is supporting MMD. It is worth to remember that Zambia is bigger than Political parties and the peace and harmony we enjoy are born from the love we share for one another. It is so surprising that when politicians extend mutual respect and understanding, there is always suspision& exageration to find a better story.Look at Sakwiba Sikota he just a jealous un seasoned politician. Is he not the same person who wanted to be a vice president on the PF ticket?Today is warning LPM.Recently accussed the police in L/stone without even contacting the Division commanding Officer to hear his views but chose the media

  22. #23, SATA’s reconciliation stance with LEVY is a wise move. Zambians are peace loving including SATA and LEVY. Any individual or a group of individuals who are seing something wrong with this move are simply evil. People should not politicise it. SATA only appreciated that despite the differences btwn him and LEVY, LEVY was gripped with humane feeling (very zambian) to act the way he did. Its a pitty that pipo are making political capital over it. I am pretty sure SATA was in a condition to not even know what was happening to him. Anyone would be thankful in a similar manner. It was the same pipo who used to call for SATA’s change. But, again the same pipo are crying foul. Big shame.

  23. Munkombwe just shut up and enjoy your majesty. What ever you have said is absolutely rubbish in the sense that you are talking of someone who is expired in politics just like you. This time around your majesty you are supposed to be sleeping in a lazy man’s chair in the village not in a public office. What experience have you got, just some few years ago you were telling the people of southern province that you had brought their own son late Anderson Mazoka now what?

  24. I pitty chapi and #24 including PF cadres on sata’s latest deadly political move.Unfortunately its always the followers affectd most.

The fact of the matter is tht Sata & PF hav been outplayed by MMD.Sata & PF hav been captured by the so calld shushushu’s.Was wit my good friend Lubinda yesternite,he too is equally confused about oldman’s move.PF hav alot of wrk to do…

  25. Its time sekulu sata and sekulu munkombwe retired from active politics. They are now embarrasing themselves. The world over is changing to young leaders.

  26. #24 Ba Peter. The point here is that the whole process of sending people abroad for treatment is politicised. It is in the hands of politicians, NOT medics. Like most things in Zambia, the procedure is not publicised so that we can all know. Instead it allows the ruling party to claim that they acted compassionately, when they are actually spending our money. The money that poor tax payers pay is used to paint Mwanawasa as compassionate, and the worst thing is that even people who are supposed to know better are hoodwinked. The truth is that these people are able to get away with this shoddy behaviour because most Zambian voters are still very ignorant – especially in rural folk.

  27. PF has alot of generals to take over from Michael Chilufya sata as PF Pres.Otherwise my analysis is that Sata will never be President of Zambia through the tactic he has adopted to be Levy’s pitcoat.

  28. I hope PF can continue to grow. We don’t need a step back to a one party state again. It would be a recipe for economic stagnation.

  29. Zambia does not belong to an individual we do not need Sata we do not need Mwanawasa,we do not need any one we need ourselves. We need to be a well informed society. We need to have proper institution to make a proper check and balance on our politians. The failures of Kaunda though a great presidents with great principles of life is to have failed to leave a proper foundation of the country. The countries rule even the infrastructure and institutions are a design of her colonizers. The state house where the Zambian president carries her duties form is not a making of her own people so were is pride for a Zambian. That is why it is important to promote good gestures that comes up………….

  30. tomorrow Zambia may turn a new page and have a complete change of mind and spirit in her leaders,a realisation that life is not all about money and material worth but on how one live his or her life and on how one wants to be remembered.Africa have just lost it, from ancient time they have been great and ruled themselves. Is it not in Egypt were civilisation began? All those pyramids in Egypt where they not a product of great black Egyptian. If african of that time could show such great skills and art what about us of a modern time?Is it them then who were of a modern time than us of today? Are we skeletons that put on nice jackets without substance in us?

  31. ‘MOB JUSTICE’please we know this is an anonymous blog but kindly make sensible comments. Why insult people who are even older than your own father. Please such vulger language makes some of us think twice before we line our comments. Lets not abuse this site. Its a nice site and its up to us to make it more enjoyable. God bless u.

  32. When you mix cardboard with vegetables, it’s not really the emphasis of the American judicial system that made me announce the arrival of Windows Vista. There seems to be a problem with the bulb in the children’s bedroom, maybe the German ambassador will attend to my headache.

Try the second key, John said she wasn’t calling him back after last week’s incident in Zimbabwe.

  33. Dear Chapi,
Kindly assist me with the following information.

Which secondary school did MichaeL Sata attend ?
What professional and academic qualifications has Sata achieved? and from which Institute?
Are there any foermer classmates of SATA Who are still alive and Known?
How many legitemate wives has Micheal Sata Got?.

    Please assist.

Your analysis is spot on and I am equally perplexed why people end up being hoodwinked by these politicians.

  35. Even Jesus when going to heaven he said “in my father’s house are many mansions” meaning all the willing have a place where he is. The ruling MMD has a big heart for all Zambians from all shades of endeavors & practically believe dissent is democratic. However MMD wishes that such must be done with dignity and a sense of “common good”.God raises leaders and when its time to replace them it all happens with much easy. However many street created political junkies have problems of understanding seasons. They hate the truth told and in vain they belabor to insult the visionary and grounded voices.

  36. Decision-making is a cardinal part of the economy of thinking in human life just like in Decision Science.Only you can change your life. No one can make decisions for you when it comes to serious questions, such as, What ought I to do?, What should I believe?, What can I know?, How should I live? Even organizational empowerment begins with individual empowerment, and managing available information means managing your life wisely.

  37. The same decision-making process we face in business arises in all other aspects of one’s life, but they are obscured in other parts of life because they are not overlaid with as many complexities that arise in business. If you expect people who do not treat themselves well to treat the world well, you will be sorely and surely disappointed. We all know the difference between “right” and “wrong”, and we can tell “good from “bad”. But we also know that the more difficult decisions come when we have to choose between good and better. The toughest decisions of all are those we have to make between bad and worse.

  38. Ans.to #35,Sata is a grade 7 drop out frm a certain rural school in Congo DR.He does not possess any professional qualifications.Sata has 4 wives and 17 children. Two of the wives live in Lsk and the others r on the C/belt.He has uncountable g/friends including Munali MP and FFTU Pres.C me for more of SATA’s details.

  39. Learn to look at others with a sense of magnanimity. Life will rain you rivers of joy if and only if you learn to live above the wishes of your enemies. Live Simply, Love Generously, Care Deeply, Speak Kindly and Leave the Rest to God and count your blessings.A thousand men will fall at your right hand side if you do so. Your victories will confuse and eat away the platform of your enemies in your eyes more than you wish.Stay steadfast in your values.

  40. Demonizing Ba Sata for his bold and timely change of goal post is inhumane to say the least. He is a father and human being first then a political animal. Like a book, his life has a summary page.He cannot only be thriving indefinitely on the fantasy and flattery of his disillusioned cadres, but more face realities of life. Like any wise he too has the challenge to build his legacy while aligning his own life in the remaining time. He has too build useful & worthwhile bridges for his family and the selfless support base realistically indebted too.Iconic & visionary leadership plan for the years after they long checked out.

  41. Concerned Citizen # 37,38,39,41 & 42,

We also have eyes through this blog and ability to track to the minute spammers.Don’t you think it could have been dignifying for you to have just given us the thread name and post #s to Ba Pragmatist’s posts already here? Do you have a conscious in your spamming spirit on the blog without even recognizing the author’s name? You want to look like you also have articulating abilities when all those posts you have pasted here are rifted from Pragmatist’s engagement yesterday?

  42. Mwaiche Pragmatist/Bhaps/Concerned Citizen/Sr Citizen/Citizen or whatever new ID you`ll use.
Within a span of less than 48 hours, you seem to finally agree that this whole Levy/Sata shenanigans have political finger prints all over.
Instead of the MMD govt setting aside millions of dollars for political appeasement and these costly evacuations. This is were we need pragmatic leadership that can tackle this health care crisis by the strap of the neck.
Levy,Sata and FTJ will be needing some constant care for their chronic cardic conditions. When is it going to dawn on these politicians that it would be cheaper to set up our own cardiac center that can not only take care of these three but cont

….the rest of nation.I once gave an example about how Prof Mubanga Kashoki insisted on the govt buying the equipment to carry out his brain tumour operation. We no longer evacuate anyone for brain tumour operations because of the available equipment Prof Kashoki made the govt purchase for the benefit of all Zambians.
Failure to plan is planning to fail.We need to be proactive and not reactive. This is the only country that we have and if we don`t develop it,no one will do it for us.

  44. Munkombwe has a lot of kids in choma and he forgets their names sometimes. He should retire and spend time with the family/farmers.

  45. Mwaiche Chapi # 44,

So me carry all those names besides my rich Pragmatist?? You are under influence of “Oxycotin”.
Heed my advice as your big brother. I have closely following both your addiction to blogging and the litter you deposit here around the clock…..seriously you needed to disengage yourself from that tired late evening aged black American woman. She’s only pulling you off the blog when she needs to abuse you. Your mental damages transcend your gains by any rational analysis. Speedily & magnanimously consider marrying a cultured, smart, engaging and concerning woman to help you out of this quagmire. Liberalism is eating you up. 46. Mwaiche Chapi # 44
A cultured spouse with a voice of reason & judgment would be the best placed to help you align your sliding life. You need a mature woman and own loving kids to help you realize that what you are doing around the clock online has no future. Yours thus far it’s pure “garbage”. Certainly, we all blog in our free time where it’s feasible, but rationing one’s time on issued based discourses has a mileage by all dimensions. You spend too much time blogging & unwittingly sliding into all this rubbish we see of you here. Zambians are too busy they will not rebuke you until you are ruined up.

  47. Mwaiche Chapi # 44,

Your concubine’s children older than you will never have time to lock you in their lives hence too unconcerned to see you sleeping in blogs 24/7.Life is too short and it has to give you its full meaning. Find a smart and cultured lady with whom you will share mutual interests and vision of a happier family life. On two occasions I have been shown your old lady you are cohabiting with. My heart breeds why our young men in your prime time are wrecking yourselves.

  48. Come 2011,we in the cpopperbelt shall ananimously vote for SATA and his PF. Zambia has been disappointed by the so called “educated persons”.We need a wise person for future presidency of Zambia and not necessary a PH degree holder, that is secondary. Sata is becoming our next president after Levy whether we like it or not bcos so far he is the most popular politician in most areas esp copperbelt, lusaka, luapula, northern, even in some parts of central. Very soon even N/Western province due to mines opening there.
Therefore, do not underate Sata.MMD should just work hard to find a suitable candidate that will match Sata’s caliber. And the they delay, the more advantange it works for Sata.

  49. Can someone pls tell me what Scott and Lubinda are still doing with someone like SATA? In my opinion, these are two good people going waste with a leader like King Cobra. Given Lubinda, Guy Scott ABANDON the sinking boat and join the action-packed HOUR!!!!!!!

  50. It’s either Sata is involved in the Carlington maize deal or would want constant evacuation from Zed to SA.careful with cobra.FTJ tricks ka!

  51. # 50 i could not help but laugh at your analysis.Ardent Panga Front (PF) follower or is it Peaceful Flowers now (PF)

Let me finally satisfy your curiosity because you`ve tried to paddle in my personal life for such a long time.My ID is my first name and kindly contact Pamodzi Hotel and ask them for details about my wedding to Precious they hosted some years ago. We`ve been happily married and God has blessed up with two boys.
Excuse me fellow bloggers that I`ve resorted to boring you with such information but I had to put this confused chap called Pragmatist in his rightful place.
Kindly help the CIA with the information that you have on your concumbines who were involved in those Florida fraud scandals.Put your lustful sexual appetite aside and do the right thing.
