Ignore ill-timed remarks-Masebo[UPDATED]

Share

Senior Chieftainess Nkomeshya Mukamambo II today joined hundreds of Chongwe residents at St Paul’s Roman Catholic Church to pray for the quick recovery of President Mwanawasa.

The prayer meeting was also attended by Lusaka Province Minister Lameck Mangani and Area Member of Parliament Sylvia Masebo.

Speaking during the prayer meeting, Ms. Masebo urged Zambians to remain steadfast in praying for the quick recovery of Dr. Mwanawasa.

Ms. Masebo, who is also Local Government and Housing Minister, further urged Zambians to preach love, unity and peace.

She has since called on Zambians to ignore ill-timed remarks on Dr. Mwanawasa’s illness and condition.

Earlier Lusaka Province Minister Lameck Mangani expressed delight that Zambians, including traditional leaders and the clergy are praying for the quick recovery of Dr. Mwanawasa.

Mr. Mangani reiterated that this not the time to start quarrelling as all people should be pre-occupied with praying for the speedy recovery of President Mwanawasa.

Delivering a homily entitled “Jesus the same yesterday, today and tomorrow” People’s Destine Bible Church, Pastor Newman Bubala urged Christians to pray without ceasing.

And Ms Masebo said people calling for an independent medical team to assess president Levy Mwanawasa are only being insensitive and inconsiderate.

She said such thoughts are cruel and unecessary because the President has only been in hospital for less than three weeks.

Ms. Masebo told ZNBC News in Chongwe, that Dr. Mwanawasa has been ill before and managed to recover fully.

Some political party leaders recently called for an independent team of doctors to travel to France to assess the president’s condition and give an independent report.

And United Church of Zambia, Reverend Simumba prayed for national stability.

Local Government and Housing Minister Sylvia Masebo and Lusaka Province Minister Lameck Mangani were with the President in Egypt when the president was taken ill.

  1. I agree with you Hon.Minister…we need to wary of some chaps who rejoice when a friend is unwell….wagunwa satana…

  2. Was anyone at the launch of the new night club -101. Guest of honor was Masebo and half of cabinet there!! Unfcukingbelieveable! And she shock her big behind until 1AM. Called the club empowering and good for tourism

  3. Are sure you saw Masebo, Masebo’s booty butty is not too big as you are saying, check Dora Siliya I wouldn’t mind having some her ass

  4. Mama Masebo….my advice to you is talk about EVERYTHING else apart from the LPM saga!!Be a politician and just encourage patience and prayer, use the age old skill of saying “everything but nothing”.

  5. Why do people on this blog resort to insults when their minds fail to reason? It is so sad. #1 and all those that have made vulgar comments please reflect and say something sensible in future. You cannot make such remarks in public. I wish there was a way to filter such rubbish.

  6. what public you foolish chief, mind your own business, the fact that its a public place gives us even more rights to say as we wish, please this is not Mugabe’s zimbabwe I guess even in your home Chief you are a dictator, I presume your wife is ever crying

  7. It is such a shame to read some of these blogs from fellow zambians.when did we get to insult ladies like want you guys are saying about our leaders.PLEASE if you dont have any thing constructive to say just hold your libindo and do not let us know how you would want to get some ass from a respectable zambian female lady.this is shame.

  8. Is Masebo even married or she just has a string of boyfriends? The public has the right to enquire about a public ‘figure’ like Masebo. The last time I saw this woman, she looked more like a Diva than a female leader. She was wearing designer clothing from head to toe, I couldn’t help but think of such people would even have the time to think about the problems that face the poor in our country. From the way she dressed, she seemed to care more about her looks than the job she is meant to be doing. I hope when or if we change government anytime soon, such people like her should not come back in government to give more caring people chance to develop Zambia.

  9. by they way yayo she has feelings just like you, so there is nothing wrong having desires for masebo ba yayo

  10. 10 you are spot on – she had the same outfit in 101. Bright orange with stripes of yellow in all directions. It was her booty for sure and the Greek Italian guy she was dancing with was trying hard to restrain himself from going all up into it.

  11. No2 Raising issues about the presidents condition is in no way rejoicing over his illness. It is that kind of thinking that you are revealing in your comment that has condemned our nation to autocratic rule and underdevelopment for over 40 yrs. That the king can do no wrong. After 44 yrs of independence we are in no way near to providing clean water to the majority of the 10m people in our nation. The same population as greater london. To be honest I would rather flush the toilet than listen to you coz it sounds better.

  12. Mwabeleka ba-Masebo aba-Mangani. Kamujatisha inchito njomujisi.

Let us continue waiting for the President’s return to Zambia. May we live our lives as people being considerate of others around us.

  13. Balumendo nabakashana, restrain please from insulting your leaders lest we lose direction from the critical issues facing us.Our Zambian culture is that of respecting elderly people,we need to respect banamayo as well, mind you even our children read this blog finshi tulebasambilisha?tepa KMB nangu pa intercity Guys, tekeni imitima twapapata.Keep your feelings for bamayo ba Masebo to yourself please. On ba LPM what do we expect bamayo ba Masebo to say,LPM is her appointing authority, forgive her she has a job to protect, but deep down her heart she knows the truth and has more priviledged info. she is not dafft mind you.

  14. we will try to be considerate, but people should not seem to be more wiser than others, the seeker of truth and justice should come to zambia and help develop the watr system, the british have had to work on there country, so who is he asking to do that job of developing mother zambia, its upon us as zambians to develop our countries not keep on crying on wht other countries have please

  15. My whole point Nicky is that we need to take our leaders to account instead of treating our leaders as some small gods that we can not question and that if we do we are somehow being insensitive and unappreciative for all they have done. And it is the buying into that thinking that l frankly find revulting.

  16. cheers truth seeker thats the spirity, freedom of speech Hola is everway where development is taing place, how travelled are you mate?

  17. I always get bothered when people want to show the so called maturity, when some of you we see what you do during weekends is unspeakable, Muyembe if only you could see what some of us have to go thru in some of these offices, seeing your boss’s thighs is so tempting so much that just as #1 he could have been abused by these female ministers who dress so undecent, Muyembe we cant blame the youngman let him speak his mind out

  18. #23 A few places yes but now based in the UK.My heart is still in Zambia though.
I am just shocked at some comment really.

  19. Dont fight you people. We will know the truth. Ba LPM is now almost 3weeks mu coma but stable, getting treatment, having restful nites etc!!
But chachine chi masebe chisuma mwe. I wish naine. Kulizilamo muja???? Ma??

  20. I think there is total confusion in the government, most of these chaps want to keep their jobs.Firstly the whole country does not know specifics of the illness and when citizens demand information they say ill-timed remarks. We need to know the actual situation. Where is the Minister of Health now that its the first lady assuring the nation ? We need information from Government sources ?

  21. Pleas Hola I am sure you have made enough Pounds Mukese Pa zambia Money is there if you work hard in zambia all is well, big roomed houses unlike the ones in the uk, council housing so communal to say, I was that side for five years did my masters and Phd in the uk but I found that dis respectfull lifestyle not too nice for me mate, Hola start something in motherland zambia atlest you would have done something for zambia, I can assure you, you kids will not be well schooled in that knife crime uk

  22. Tell them miss Masebo.

Some people would rather spread there pointless rhetoric, shouting on the top of their voice trying to smoke there way to state house.

What we need is diplomacy and an educated candidate for 2011. As you can see, even Masebo supports HH in this situation so all the PF cadres can go piss on an electric rod.

    HH 2011

  23. Cheers mates we call it a day enjoy your socialintercourse over the weekend chao

  24. masebo is not a leader,we all know that she is being shaged by politicians, she has good ass,i will shag her soon

  25. yaya and chief u must be fools do u think masebo got her position on merit?this girl has to have sex with pipo in authority in order to be get that, anyway she has nice ass i cant refuse if given chance thou am married

  26. Ah ba jk #34 dont lay to as. How do you know she being shaged? Dont think too deeply about that you end up having a wet dream.

  27. What I have heard so far is that Prez Mwanawasa is in a coma. It would be in the nations interest not to reveal this information.
Now, you want to charge Teta for having a plan B? WTF?

  28. Sata said nothing wrong…if the doctors went and checked on LPM, who knows what their report would be…maybe they would certify him fit..so what is Masebo scared of..In addition, when Sata had that ka minor heart attack (by the way due to nicotine),Government official and ministers visited him freely.

LPM’s health is but OUR business..because he holds keys to our nation. Once he steps aside, God forbid, but if he another attack, I suppose very few car to inquire and demand for information. Deviation from this concept only goes to insult our nzelu..

  29. These MMD pipo remind me of the pianist from the titanic Film playing “nearer my God to thee.” somebody should remind them that it is all overrrrr. The MMD boat is hitting bottom low.

  30. The situation in Zed is full of mediocrity.Am surprised that even the so called educated man HH doesn’t see the need for Zambians to know the truth about their country’s half past dead president.

  31. #41 hh erely cited the constitution.Try to read it too and see where he is coming from. Its not just about shouting. There is a guide in the constitution about how such enqiries are done hence the reference. If you read it you may not find yourself midiocre toobecause his comment is far from what you are saying that he means

  32. #41 what constitution?Mwanawasa himself has never respected the rotten Zambian constitution anyway!Look at the VP appointments,Mumba and Banda, the rotten constitution says VP must be elected member of national assembly! So why respect the damn thing this time around.Cops detain suspects longer than 48hrs required by the constitution, get arrested falsely you will know what I mean!Tell cops about the constitution, they’ll beat constitution out of you.

  33. #1,Thats the problem with you paid Bemba bloggers anyone you are against you just insult. To hell with your luck of maturity, jealous failures .You will never rule and steal from Zambia ever again. You bitter ,frightened people.Go bury yourself in sand shameless tribalists.

  34. #43. Mulenga,Newcastle England

That is why we need HH as president.

We need him because he knows the constitution, follows it and respects it.

  35. LT has been invaded by *****s!!No wonder we have high cases of HIV AIDS. I also hope that LT can come up with a more secure site, where the identity of bloggers can be known, All you Imbeciles, use your full names and your real Addresses, so that your ignorance can be exposed.

  36. Just because you hate SATA does not make him a junk which can not say something constructive. let us be objective and think like educated people. We have the right to know whether he is coming or not so that we can plan ahead. My you he is our father and he has a job to carry out. How can you say we are still praying and you stop thinking. We have to put things in place just in case the worst happened. Let us not put our country in problems just because someone was praying and forgot to work. Nowonder, we saw how foolish leaders can be we TETA brought about a very good plan for someone to take the burden off from LPM and they charged him. Sure, do you want him dead b4 plan B comes in?

  37. GUYZ! Remember the slogan of our country ONE ZAMBIA!ONE NATION. HH now knows he can not match what one of our best Leaders has achieved, and that is the reason he want LMP just like myself to be in Control. GET WELL LPM

  38. I am one of the great admirers of madam Masebo. She is good a sexy ass. Given i would sc**w her hard.I know she likes it.
But problem is how to interact with her. I am 42 and single.
I would give her my contact phone.
    I love you masebo, sweetheart………hiyabaaaaaa…!!!
Mu sink…….mayo………nafwa ine………. kabili kuti calowa sana till late.

  39. Ba KINE MWANE why do Bembas give you sleepness nights? Mwalishiba ati paliba maka, but to tell you the truth KAONDES,LOZIS and TONGAS will never rule this country. You know why? I will give you an answer after five months when we’ll have a new President at State House. But dont worry you are not the only one who is afraid of Bembas. If you are tails you will remain such and sorry folks God is coming our way once more.MUKOSE

  40. REASONS WHY THEY WILL NEVER RULE ZAMBIA

    1.KAONDES-Dull,imature and uncivillised prostitute.
    2.LOZIS- selfishness,greedness and tribalists.
    3.TONGA-Greedness,uncivillised and Sheepsh

  41. #52 The answer to your question is very simple. Bemba’s intions have come out openly but we all know that they are thieves, plunderers, crooks and seriuos corrupters.
One month ago Sata/Satana was singing about reconciliation with LPM, but now the old man is busy calling for a medical board for his so called best friend.
Bemba’s where is the love, peace and unity which you preach ? Sata on one side and Katele on the other, all wanting to go to state house. Your family tree will not make i can assure you.

  42. #52 Which tribe in Zambia is renowed or has a thief tag? You know the answers. Non of those tribes you mentioned including the easterners has a thief tag. In Zambia we shall never allow thieves to rule again!! So these tribes will group together and make sure a thief from where you hail from does not go to state house. We can even beat you!!

  43. Gents, Masebo ni lovely elyo nacina bwino, cilefwaikwa fye ukutamo u kno what. I support #1 may be abena Levy balepitilako. Nganamumona pa bank mailo we shall arrange. The whole night!!!!!!!!!

  44. My God you old Zambians are so immature. I wonder what you teach your children. Just now someone posted that they are “42” and “single”. What sort of person (African for that matter) is 42 and single.

Also you keep on bringing “tribe” in politics. Only a person above the age of 32 can be saying such asinine things. How Childish.

I don’t care about tribe. I am in the younger generation of Zambians and “tribe” does not mean a rats a$$ to me. I care about policy and credentials and HH passes in that field.

Thank God majority of Zambians are youths and in my age group because if people like the ones on this blog made up the majority of Zambians. I can denounce this country and seek

  45. conr…

refuge and citizenship in some other country.

Some of you hold God knows how many degrees and others have high positions yet when you read what comes out of there minds, you would wonder how they got those degrees in the first place.

    GROW UP.

Politics is not about tribes. If you think it is then take that crap to Rwanda or Sudan. Some of us are not interested.

  46. #52 The answer to your question is very simple. Bemba’s intentions have come out openly but we all know that they are thieves, plunderers, crooks and seriuos corrupters.
One month ago Sata/Satana was singing about reconciliation with LPM, but now the old man is busy calling for a medical board for his so called best friend.

  47. You guys – don’t take your freedom for granted – if you abuse it it can be taken away – if you use this forum to spread obscenity it’s like asking for it to be closed down – these forums are the only media Zambians have access to to freely exchange ideas – why abuse it so that everyone goes back to having nothing?

  48. I find that the biggest tribalists are those born from both parents that come from the same tribe. I ‘m born from parents who are from western and the other from northern, so for me I don’t have any tribal alliance nonsense. I also have first cousins from North Western, Southern, Midlands and Eastern, so in essence I hate tribalists because I can’t find it within myself to hate somebody because there are from a different tribe of some kind. As far as I’m concerned my tribe is Zambian because I have relatives all over Zambia. I think the nation needs a person like me who has no clear tribal alliance to lead Zambia and unite the country. Let the mixed Zambians take over otherwise we will fall.

  49. ZamTribe Party (ZP) is born. We will start campaigning and should be taking over state house in 2011. If you are born from parents from two different tribes then you automatically are eligible for a position and a role in your party. We at ZP believe that tribalism is a cancer that needs to be dealt with. For now we will not be taking any person from parents that come from the same tribe because you could be carrying that tribalism disease. However, such people might have some roles in lower ranks of the party, however if you can demonstrate that you have married or intend to marry someone from a different tribe than yours then we can look at your application.

  50. For more information, joining or just support please contact us at: [email protected]. We are currently working on our website and it will be made public when things are ready. We are also looking for advisers, critics and mentors. We are open to all suggestions and ideas that will eradicate tribalism in Zambia. Just like we will fight poverty, corruption and disease, we will also actively fight tribalism because we believe that tribalism if left unchecked can take us a few years backwards when we should be moving on and moving up for the betterment of all. ZamTribe Party is a party for the people by the people. let us unite and fight tribalism in our country. One Zambia, One Nation.

  51. we have started the process to have this abused site closed by the government.insteady of debating real issues you are busy preaching instabilty in the country through tribalism.we have aduty to protect the nation from civil wars

  52. Kapunda ako ba Zam-Tribe,for 2011 we will consider.Do not destruct us from the immiediate issues on our hands that need dealing with in 3 months.Should we have elections in 3 months time we may not have some in 2011 at least for presidential mind you!Do we really need another Party to tackle the obvious scourge and cancer of tribalism?what do the bloggers say?Good luck ba Zam Tribe.

  53. Its a shame to see just how backwards Zambians are going. This site has so many tribalists. So bembas have the thief tag and tongas have the tribalist tag is that the truth?People from one tribe really make me sick on this site.I have relatives from so many tribes. That is why some of us left!!

  54. We would like to say thank you to all those that have written to us to express their support for our vision of eradicating tribalism in Zambia through ZamTribe Party (ZP). We appreciate your support and encouragement. Contact us at: [email protected]

  55. It appears some bloggers have had chance to express with all ugliness what they think about other tribes; how they have been offended or simply looking down at others. We have also learnt that some tribes have felt sidelined and probably now is their time to stand up and be counted. Then, there has been labelling of each other; as thieves, (probably the worst one-to call the tribe that they are theieves!)sheepish, greedy, uneducated, arrogant, etc.well may be its now time dear bloggers and as Zambians to reflect back especially those of us who wrote something like above. What I see is all these bad labels are found in all tribes. To the Bembas, may be its time to reflect as to why so many …

  56. contd from #71. things are being said, there is a huge background to it which can not be escaped, but may need further clarification and image re-building especially politically, because the Chiluba era has left some bad marks, but dont hit back with tribalism. For others, well this may be your time but dont be over exited as to even indicate that such a tribe will never rule again. The ordinary people(voters) will be watching, and of one thing repulsive to them is tribalism. Once they know your motives the harder it may be for you to rule as you are puting it. Rather show those from other tribes,(the ones you detest) that you care for them and you can together better their lives, the poor ..

  57. from #72. ..people. Show them that you genuinely care for them. In the meantime let sobriety return to this blog, because the tribal sentiments though in the name of freedom of expression have made this blog chaotic. Imagine we were close to each other!Situations like in Rwanda began just like this. Objectivity in our debates has gone down, as many of us have retreated retroactively into the past to defend our tribes or to be heard as such. From statistics on the comments, there is the whole uneasiness among the B-botatwe-bemba-lozi and Kaonde. probably us in these groups are most in this tribal issue/complex/dilema, because we argue so well pro our tribes and against others..

  58. …from #73,
cool down, dont waste your time, no one tribe is better than the other. If thats your starting premise, its just an illusion. We have the same theives, poverty and ignorance. If you ask my opinion about Sata and HH-for the same reasons thats why the two may never rule Zambia, unless they work very hard on this issue. Thanks for taking time to read.

  59. Zedians, people from luapula are not bembas. Niba tubulu munyela pa menshi. Bembas are from northern province.

  60. I cannot just ignore these people insulting Hon Masebo. She is one of the hard working ministers and fearless for that matter in the Cabinet more than most menfolk.

The fact that you cannot be identified is no right for you to insult. This shows immaturity and calibre of people you are. No wonder people are talking of leadership vacuum when young and vibrant people can only insult and fail to come up with reasonable discussion or debate on issues of national importance. If this is the case then who could blame the old we have in society/parties hanging in there less the country remain with empty tins for leaders.

Stop insulting! Long live Hon. Masebo and Republic of Zambia!

  61. What happened to Masebo and Dick, the guy who used to “fund-sponsor” her those days she was at campus? You guys, do you think masebo can go out with cheap guys? You must be joking.

After this episode, she will shift to HH cos she knows he has the privatisations bucks. Thats why she is supporting whatever he says, and not Ba mudala BaSata.

  62. Wenye Wanu suck my black dick who the hell are you, is she your sister then

  63. Wenye Wanu, come to think of it!! Masebo is hard working, but the problem is her instability when it comes to her desires for the rich male folks. If only she could stick to one and only one guy and show others what it means to develop the country.

Imagine, it is now becoming the trend… Vera, Cifire, Silvia, ZSIC -MD, and now even the Comm.& Trans minister has joined the string of….

  64. I used to be recommended this website through my cousin. I’m no longer certain whether or not this submit is written via him as nobody else know such particular approximately my problem. You’re amazing! Thank you!
