Hypocrites have Hijacked Levy’s Prayer Bandwagon

Share

Opposition Federal Democratic Party (FEDEPA)has described as immoral and hypocritical for people who have never appreciated President Levy Mwanawasa to suddenly appear on the scene showing concern about his health.

Without mention the people being referred to, Party President Alfred Sayila said this in a Press Statement made available to ZANIS in Lusaka today.

Reverend Sayila also alleged that some prayers being conducted in the country may not be coming from people with clean hearts and who wish to see Dr. Mwanawasa healed and resuming his national duties.

He called on all people gaining popularity over President Mwanawasa’s illness to desist from making comments or forming personal opinions meant to distress the situation.

Reverend Sayila said citizens should understand that the republican constitution takes care of the succession issue adding that all leaders thinking of replacing President Mwanawasa were liars and glory seekers.

President Mwanawasa is hospitalised in Percy Military Hospital in Paris, France.

  1. I do not condemn anyone. God is no respect of persons. He (God) hears both the great and small as long as they humble themselves and recognise that He can help save the situation. See 1 John 1 : 9 in the Holy Bible.

  2. Its not worth making oomments to utteraes made by some of these parties made of dreamers!! FEDEPA you are still kids.Go to school!! Your party is like a debate club at Munali.

  3. Elo lwanya … notuntemba tulandepo! Seems like it’s time for everyone to talk, even rubbish; since tabalipo bamwinemushi. Anyhow, the Government is to blame for all such nonsense. This could easily be avoided if we got a team to go there and bring us a much more matured chain of updates.

Ba FEDEPA, go back to bed as you’ve earlier been advised! Mwanawasa’s health affects every citizen of Sweet ZED. If you are a bunch of big mouthed aliens, the current timing is extremely bad for your comments. Try another time and in another country. Bushe kula bwata bwata fye?

  4. Ba FEDEPA Mawa feluka, instead of putting across your veiws as a party for a solution to the crisis at hand which is LPMs medical condition ,you are busy discussing people. Zambians are not fools, we all know which politicians are gaining mileage it is no secret. At the end of the day it will be up to the pipo to elect who they want.
Mwema fontini – simple minds discuss people!

  5. This Party seems to be the one that wants to gain publicity and political mileage out of LPM’s illness. Why dont they comment on other issues themselves. I have just heard of this party today becozi of LPM’s illness.

  6. This Reverend Sayila or whatever they call him is a jocker of the worst kind!!!!!

Why did he have to talk when he had nothing to say?????

  7. I concede #1’s statement: why should some people think that their prayers are better than others’ prayers? No one can twist the mighty arm of God, it is up to Him to judge. Hypocrites like calling others hypocrites…but ye shall know them by their fruits.

  8. Sayila, you have very shallow analysis of issues and I have no doubt you are in politics to make ends meet. Please be educated that there is nothing wrong in codenming the presidenet or any other leader in a multiparty political set up like Zambia.
Further be educated that people condmn leaders not out of personal vendeta of bitterment but out of principle.Do you hear some saying there are no permanent enemies in politics? The meaning for that is what your are ignorantly condeming. They may oppose LPM but they do not hate himas an individual. No woder your small party is not even known.

  9. Let them pray for him for they have political differences but he is still there brother.
If I were you, i could have been impressed by the occurence or turn of event because it signifies maturity in our political system.
So do not expose your ignornace and dictatorial tendencies this way.

  10. Time wasters and *****s now want to make an industry out PLM illnes. Nothing to offer the nation but rummer and counter rummer, innuendos and scando. Blood suckers. like bed bugs.

  11. How does “Reverend” Sayila know that some prayers are not coming from ‘clean hearts’ ??!?!? Who is he to say who has a clean heart and who hasn’t ? Last time I checked the Bible, we are ALL sinners falling short of the glory of God !

For a person who is meant to be a man of God, surely he must know that God actually tells us to pray for our enemies. Therefore, whether or not some people don’t like the current presdient, that does not mean they want him dead !!

The problem we have now is that every man and his donkey feel they must make a statement/press release relating to LPM’s illness.

  12. Read carefully “Reverend Sayila said citizens should understand that the republican constitution takes care of the succession issue adding that all leaders thinking of replacing President Mwanawasa were liars and glory seekers”
In short Rev Sayila is saying let us follow the constitution he just used the prayers as a scapegoat. He has no rights of criticising people who are praying for ba Mwine. What does he mean by unclean hearts? FEDEPA sounds like an NGO that gives free food to the vulnerable. When was it born?

  13. What is this FEDPA stuff? i never knew of such a party in Zed….tuntemba parties and churches…scrutinise them coz they are funded by enemies…Long live LPM…and VIVA Teta..

  14. The fact that people who earlier opposed LPM are now praying for him means the nation is moving in the right direction. Its a good sign. Are these FEDEPA people calling for the so called ‘enemies’ of Levy to pray for his death? What a gross lack of wisdom!

That party would do better if they remained silent and unknown.

  15. Waste of time to blog on nonentity party comments, remember ba Chamachakomboka he was much better than this could have provided better counsel if he was around MHSFIP.

  16. Let us continue praying not only for the president but for peace to prevail in our beloved country. Right now with so much bickering in our ruling party wrong decisions are bound to be made. We all love Zambia dont we?

  17. this president has got a shalow mind mwe!!!!who are those enemies he is talking about? this man is trying to gain a political milage out of this.Man of GOD do not juge because you wil be juged too.you are a hypocrity, you think that LPM,s family will like you after all this , or you want to be promoted after lpm comes back.what a waste of time.this man is trying to say that no opposition could have attended the prayer service for LPM.that is what he ment, if you don’t agree with some one it doesn’t mean that you hurt that person, you just have different views over something.go back to school.you are just a preacher.

  18. to hell with tarvern political parties, just go and recruit castrol he can mobilise for you, otherwise we dont know fedepa.i hope its not an insult.

  19. fedepa could be small but there is some sense in their concerns remember “AMANO YAFUMA MWIFWESA YAYA MUCHULU”

  20. Sayila

It is time you went back to revive your Grandfather’s village at Kalupeteka in Kamapanda and in Kazombu other than commenting on issues you dont know….You will be better of crossing the Nyag’uwa river on foot to visit your Uncles in Angola where your mother comes from and probably comment on your Uncle Savimbi’s death than to comment on Mwanawasa’s illness. Who made you a judge over God’s people???

  21. its very true that many in the name of prayer are pretening while those who love him seem to be misunderstood. we all love levy and desire the best. many are crying not because they love levy but its because some are worried they might lose their jobs, investments etc let the guineine ones express themselves.saying that we need a successor is no proof that teta hates levy. lets open our eyes and be honest. levy we love you and wish you a quick recovery.

  22. Simply put, the Presidos’ incapacitation has become a money-spinner in church circles. Let’s gather and pray for our Presido (very noble cause indeed). But let’s also remember the offering at the end prayers(for Pastor’s ‘time and work’). It appears ‘Rev.’ Sayila is being outdone in this regard. Muna muhulu, strategy yashupa nji?

  23. Do my fellow zambia’s know that the gov’t has Known about oil in the northwestern province since the 70’s?,so why are we still speading billions on oil?

  24. OK Reverend Sayila (Reverend, my foot!), since you alone want to pray for the president, go ahead! We’ll leave it in your capable hands! Just remember, if you screw up and something happens to him, the nation knows who to blame!!

  25. WE NEED PIPO ARE WILL NOT GO IN PUBLIC OFFICE TO MAKE AND ENRICH THEMSELVES. WE NEED PIPO HAVE MADE THEIR MONEY AND WHEN THEY SAY I HAVE COME TO OFFER SERVICE EVEN U COME SEE, HOW MUCH THEY HAVE AND THE MONEY THEY LEFT WHICH THEY WERE GETTING IN THE PRIVATE FIRM.WE DO NOT NEED LEADERS WHO MOVE FROM LOW SALARIES IN EITHER PRIVATE OR PUBLIC TO BE MP OR PRESIDENT WHERE THEY B GETTING MORE THAN B4. VOTE WISELY IN 2011.
