Presidential hopeful Hakainde Hichilema says the United Party for National Development has a vision to stump out livestock diseases.
Mr. Hichilema says his party also wants to carry out a cattle restocking exercise.
Addressing a campaign rally in Mongu on Monday, Mr. Hichilema assured the people of Western Province that the UPND will revamp the livestock industry in the area.
He also promised the people in the province that his government would setup a power generation plant at Sioma Falls in Shangombo district to reduce on the power deficit that the country is experiencing.
Mr. Hichilema is one of the candidates contesting the forthcoming presidential election.
Others are MMD’s Rupiah Banda, Michael Sata of the Patriotic Front and Brigadier General Godfrey Miyanda of the Heritage Party.
I like your momentum Sir HH. Tell them and do the needful for Zambia. I went on hibernation for 3 dyas to attend to industrial needs, but now I am back.

I just like making fun of my Tonga mates. you wish to know that am not Bemba myself, am Tumbuka and because Tumbukas are by no means the majority in Zambia, I have learnt to speak Bemba, Nyanja, Lozi and a bit of Tonga. This has made it easier for me to mix with most people wherever I go. But this is not what most Lozis or Tongas will do. I have seen bembas who atleast try to learn Nyanja and vice but with lozis and Tongas they are rigid on this. Looks like this tribal issue is the only thing those against HH have. However it is common knowledge that a person who cannot be supported by his own is such a non starter. And that is just a law of nature and it is prevalent in all societies. Even in home set up a father should be respected by his family before he can win respect from outside his own. This has nothing to do with tribalism. Banda has eastern, Sata has mostly the Bemba speaking regions, Mwanawasa had central and that should ring a bell to every rational human being. One who cant even be supported by his own must be a serious cloun. Let us be wise and choose the best candidate among the three contenders.

There are alot of savings which cud be made from unwise spending,eg,unnessessary trips abroad,allowances to ministers,those brown envelops,ask yoself a question where is the money coming from – national treasurery.Such monies could be used to fund very need and very important area such education,buying drugs in hospitals,agriulture and many more.
