MMD spokesperson Ben Tetamashimba stands beside a political party billboard that was misleading voters as it had the electoral commission of Zambia logo.

The Patriotic Front has denied allegations that it has produced Electoral Commission of Zambia billboards carrying the party’s symbol.

PF spokesperson, GIVEN LUBINDA, says his party has never produced any such billboards.

Mr. LUBINDA says the party can not spend money producing Electoral Commission of Zambia billboards instead of making its own election materials.

He has called on the ECZ to investigate the matter and ensure that the culprits are reported to the police.

On Wednesday, the MMD complained to the Electoral Commission of Zambia over an ECZ election poster allegedly bearing a Patriotic Front symbol.

The MMD said the election poster should not be allowed because it displays the PF symbol.

MMD spokesperson, BENNY TETAMASHIMBA, said he had seen a lot of such posters in the North-Western Province where he was recently.

Mr. TETAMASHIMBA, is also the election agent for MMD presidential candidate, Rupiah Banda.

  55. #49 UPND na HP do not make anything to qualify as news. Look at all the other tabloids in Zed. There is very little to read on these parties. I wonder though if it is just the tabloids that are not just getting to them or they get reports but throw them in their bins.

    My observation is that when one sees SATA on front page, that publication will attract so many readers. Again if one sees RB (especially negative report on his part), expect that publication to attract a lot of readers. But when it comes to HH or Gen GM,whether a good or bad report on them, it doesn’t attract that much attention.

    So I think the publishers would raather publish some thing that sells.

    Opposition parties have accused the ECZ of engaging in practices aimed to rig the forthcoming election.

Satamania???? what satamaniat is fred m’embe talking about?.There is no such a thing in southern province.Fred M’membe AND THE Post should just continue campaign for Sata as their campagn paper and leave southern province to make their own choice.We know the POST have bn been a stong supporter of Sata from the time magande lost to RB.Southern province has always voted on merit.In 1991 Chiluba got the hieghest in southern province because everybody then thot chiluba was the best.In 2001 Mazoka got the heighest as he was the best..MMD store his votes.This time around..HH is the best..even levy (MHSRIP) admired HH,your own Sata knows that.Kaunda Knows that.

    I am sitting in my office, typing away, when noises from outside catch my attention. There is some kind of commotion. I get up to investigate.

    There in the reception of the radio station is a very prominent politician, here to buy air time for an “interview.” The election is coming, and he wants the people to hear about his platform. For K1.4 million (about $400) he can speak on air for about two hours. The journalists are flocking around him, lambs to the slaughter.
