  1. Refer to JCTR article for a more sensbile view of these loans – getting into debt is nothing to celebrate

  2. Ba Simwinga imwe, whatever english you use, the fact of the matter is that, it is a loan which requires paying back with interest. It would have been nice to hear you announce that the money has been raised from within. Knowing you, you were even drinking coffee when signing ang commiting us to the same

  3. Siumvela iwe Simwinga. Ukamba namushe ati “$4.5 million” monga uwamya. Wamwelapo naka coffee. So tell us ok, what is your cut, because you cant just announce that mahala. A minister should have been making that announcement.

  4. Simwinga thinks we dont know his tricks #8. Just wait and see. we are watching this chap. I mean, thats a lot of money this $4.5m he is proudly announcing.

  5. Uhnnnnnnnn!!??? This outbreak of loans will kill us soon. Are our leaders so devoid of knowledge and understanding that they are just blindly going into more and more loans? Someone needs to seriously consider the points brought out by the JCTR, be bold enough and show relevant leadership in as far as these loans are concerned or else we will end up in much worse situation than we were before the HIPC Completion Point. The purposes for borrowing and amounts involved so far is worrying. It is a clear indication of having a visionless chap for a leader. If not careful RB may go into the books of history as the worst and most headless presido Zed ever had. You can’t be borrowing just like that.

  6. What interest rates? When repayable? and most of all “HOW SHALL WE AFFORD REPAYMENTS?”. PF would have not been so reckless, I can assure you!

By the way, is it true that Chungu is out of custody?

  7. Zambia forward, in tune with the Nation!

Thank you LT for providing only sensible animations:
    :)>- UNIP, MMD l-), UPND =; others :-@

  8. Mr.Town Clerk $4 million dollars is very little money, that kind of money can be raised locally by the City of Kitwe. The loan you got will cost you another $4 million in interest in total you will be paying back over $10 million dollars what a shame,Cities can borow from within Zambia

  9. So, thats why the Kwacha is falling against the dollar. They are offloading the dollar to make more kwacha. They had the loan approved when the kwacha was in the K3000 kwacha but will sell it at K5000.

I just hope they will pay back the loan on time. :((
