Four children died on the spot while one is nursing serious injuries in Yeta District Hospital after a 60-millimeter bomb exploded in Shangombo district.
Western Province Police Commanding Officer, Vael Muzwenga, confirmed the incident to ZANIS in Mongu yesteday.
Mr. Muzwenga identified the four juveniles belonging to one family as Maswabi Lumano, aged 17, Liwanga Lumano, 8 years, Sikananu Lumano, aged eleven and Mutemwa Lumano, four years old.
He said that the juveniles, who were herding cattle and goats, picked up the bomb along Senanga-Sesheke road and exploded when they tried to break it.
The Commanding Officer also identified the seriously injured victim as Sishandi Kalumbu, aged 14 years, of Namuku village.
He said that at the time the four deceased were struggling to break the bomb, Kalumbu excused himself, saying that the bomb managed to injure him some 50 meters away from the seen.
The Commanding officer has, however, described Kalumbu’s condition as stable.
ZANIS/ENDS/TM/EB
Sad. Now, how did the bomb find itself the bush?
This is sad. The govt should educate people living in the area about the dangers of landmines and bombs left after the liberation movements.
too abd for the family. its not easy to lose 4 members of 1 family at ago. MTSRIP
Firstly condolences to the bereaved family. It is a great loss not only to them but to the whole Nation which has a small population of abour 12 Million people to lose young people who would have probably reproduction to increase Zambian human resources or worked hard to be potential Nation changers in form of politicians or civil servants.
Secondly, was that thing a “60-millimeter bomb exploded in Shangombo district” or a landmine? What are bombs doing in Shangombo? What is the source of that bomb since its dimensions and other characteristics seem to be known by the Zambia Police Service personnel?
RUPPIAH BANDA IS SLEEPING WHILE PEOPLE ARE DYING BECOZ OF IGNORANCE. HOW DO YOU TRY TO BREAK A SUSPCIOUS LOOKING OBJECT. THESE VILLAGERS SHOULD WAKE UP.
ALL SUSPECT PACKAGES MUST BE REPORTED TO POLICE OR ANY SECURITY ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES. BUT THEN ZAMBIAN GOVT DON’T TAKE EDUCATION ON SECURITY AWARENESS SERIOUSLY. IT DOESN’T EVEN HAVE ANY PLANS TO EDUCATE THE MASSES. THE LEADERS ARE BUSY SLEEPING.
Also,”He said that the juveniles, who were herding cattle and goats, picked up the bomb along Senanga-Sesheke road and exploded when they tried to break it” would probaly make sense as ‘He said that the juveniles, who were herding cattle and goats, picked up the bomb along Senanga-Sesheke road and “it” exploded when they tried to break it.’
“He said that at the time the four deceased were struggling to break the bomb, Kalumbu excused himself, saying that the bomb managed to injure him some 50 meters away from the seen” also is ambiguous. It would be better as “and the bomb managed to injure him some 50 meters away from the” ‘SCENE’. What is “saying” doing in a sentence with “said” already.
Its not ignorance, it just that children are just curious thats all. And please RB has nothing to do with this sad situation. thats all.
5. Shimaster, my of us Zambians are not educated. This is why I am asking the Undereducate to register for Grade 7 examinations for 2009 so that he acquires some useful skills.
#6. Peter has given out nice data.
We need to educate our fellow Citizens and relatives, especially those in the villages. All it takes is a phone call or a simple speech when you visit your villages or Zambia.
We can not afford to be losing lives with such negligence of educating potential voters and voters for Constitutional officers.
No. 5 AND 6. Please have the common decency of not trying to politicise everything. Blaming RB and the MMD for this is extremely low of you and insensitive to those who lost their lives. Shame on you. My condolonces to the bereaved family.
8. Mrs Blah, I am with you on this one. I personally used to like breaking anything I found when I was a small person. Now that I recognise how tricky curiosity is (curiosity killed the cat – unknown), I am advocating that we use our experience – education – to curb some of these fatal issues.
All the best you all as we mourn the reported people who died. In fact, I am proposing a one day National mourning to be declared by the MMD GRZ for this family and the children who died as this is a serious loss.
Maestro.
Why do you always look down on the uneducated? Day in out you mock most us who are not educated. You are lucky that your parents were able to send and pay for your education. Not every one even in the UK are educated. There are children in my class who refuse to be taught as they see no sense to have an education. Four years only used for messing up in secondary school.
Mastro.
I agree with you that a one day national morning be declared for the young lives lost due to curiosity. In this way alot of people and children will be aware that when you find something strange and it looks like a bomb report it to the authorities.
I liked the picture and l-) by Mr X. Chuungu thepicturemonger. blogspot. com/ 2008/ 12/ xavier- chungu- in- court- after- 4- years- at. html
I just thought this would be grate for you all to see it for yourself if you so wish.
12. Mrs Blah, I am not looking down on the “uneducated” following your “Maestro. Why do you always look down on the uneducated?”
I am merely advising the Undereducate who is actually one person, Micheal Chilufya Sata.
Otherwise, I wrote about educating those who did and do not have a chance I like had and have simply to bring them to a substantial level of understanding things. Nothing else for I am not laughing at them but I am wishing for the best for the uneducated.
On your #13, I like your beefed up contribution on the National mourning issue.
Have a blessed day.
#12. Mrs Blah
You are very much right on this issue. I have tried on this blog to remind this so called learned colleague of ours, but it seems all efforts have been falling on deaf ears. He seems to be so much obssessed with education he has recieved, yet there are alot of educated & intelligent people on this blog who have not said a word to expose their education.
That kind of accident can happen to anyone, irrespective of education!!
Sad reading. My heart goes out to the young souls forever lost to this evil world, the injured one and to the bereaved family.
It could have been a bomb made from a 60 millimeter mortar or a 60 millimeter grenade. The bottom line is that lives were lost and we must always strive to sensitize our people who live close to such areas as the Angola and Mozambique borders.
14.
Am wondering why Mr Xavier chungu displayed that symbol “the hour”.
Was is it to tell us that the hour has come to plunder more Zambian tax payers’ money or what. Anyway he has a game plan that we all don’t know about.
#17. Rogue Trader
When you hear the Minister of Defence issuing statements, it is all about threatening the innocent people of Zambia rather than concentrate on serious issues of pretecting the citizens. After the Angolan War, nothing much has been done on the borders to Demine the bombs which were planted by a rebel group of Savimbi, even in the Zambian territory. So, there’s need to do that task if we are to avoid similar incedents happening in the near future. The other time it was a pupil who lost a leg because he went hunting to look for food, rather than study for an exam.
Sad really. RB gets blamed for all. Give him time.
blimey! protecting.
££££ to improve.
#20.Thandiwe
Though am against RB, he is not the only failure on this issue. FTJ, LPM (MHSRIP) & RB have all to do with this. Kaunda can not be rediculed, since during his time, the WAR in Angola was at its peak, but the rest should have implemented a programme to DEMINE the areas where these bommbs were placed. It is the duty of the Defence forces to look into ways of doing away with these hazards! So, the Govt is to blame.
19. Geologist, Canada
Thats true. A lot more can be done to reduce the risk posed by such devices. We could promote demining activities but this would not be easy as it is believed that only a small number (relative to the size of affected areas) of explosive devices were planted on Zambian soil.
23. Geologist, Canada; greetings. In the thread ww w. lusakatimes. com/ ?p = 6737, I wrote you “1. 84. Geologist, Canada; since you claim to be SDA what time does the Sabbath start in that place you stay in in Canada?
I left your some querries in the other thread, I demand your response to them and I am waiting.”
I also need to know what time the Sabbath ends in that place. It appears Deacons need to effect some disciplinary measures on you for breaking the sabbath.
I will put up the questions I left for you in the thread you wrote that I am so different from other SDA shortly.
16. Geologist, Canada; I challenge you to point out what exactly is wrong with any of my contribtuions in this thread and any other on the Undereducate.
Note: The words Undereducate (Under-educate) and uneducated (un-educated) are two different words or combinations of words which have a totally different meaning.
Somewhere you claimed that many bloggers can fail to pass an exam for failing to answer or comment on the topic, but it appears that your English mis-understanding may make you fail if these were exams. Pull up your socks and live up to my challenge to you!
#25.Maestro Hhehhehhehhe
hahahahahahaha. Sabbath start the same time, but at different time zones in different countries.
18. Mrs Blah, hhe hhe hhe hhe. Let us wait and see how the drama unfolds.
:-\”
Kids in rural Zambia lack formidable entertainment hence any object occupies their minds… sensitisation of landmines in Zambia has always been restricted to provinces near war torn neighbouring countries.. am not sure where shangombo is…but my condolensces to the bereaved family…. [-o<[-o<**==
Which YEAR did you go to UNZA? You always post alot of things out of context, and all the time trying to justify the word undereducate. Tell the bloggers! Haven’t you been dreaming this word?
27. Geologist, Canada; your last posting in the thread referred to in #25 appeared at abour 04 am and now in this thread it has appeared at about 11pm. Surely You have broken the Sabbath commandment of Exodus 20:8 – 11 in light of Genesis 1:5 and action of disciplining you at the SDA church of your membership needs to be advanced not only because you are a culprit, but because you were vehemently agitating that tha so-called Rebel PF MPs must be chased from PF and by-elections be conducted in time.
So, are you going to be kind enough to report yourself to the SDA church authorities since you have broken the commandments as James 2:10 indicates owing to Revelation 12:17 and 14:12?
30. Geologist, Canada; on your “Which YEAR did you go to UNZA?” I would have answered you, but I do not want to alarm the POST and other sources of confusion. The information I have given on this blog is enough to know me and so I will not write any more about myself.
In light of #31, the concerned verses are:
King James Version Holy Bible:
James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one [point], he is guilty of all.
Revelation 12:17 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the ….
#32 continued.
Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here [are] they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Lastly for now, James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth [it] not, to him it is sin.
I hope you are a serious about your being SDA for your better confess before it is too later (1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for [the sins of] the whole world).
I am am ordained Deacon in the SDA Church. Have a blessed day.
#26.Maestro Hhehhehhehhe
You need to know some practical facts of life and not just restrict yourself to UNZA where we got educated:
“IT IS ALSO POSSIBLE THAT THOSE WHO GO TO SCHOOL FOR ONLY A FEW YEARS MAY BE INTELLIGENT AND EVEN LEARN A GREAT DEAL BY THEMSELVES”.
So, stop what you’ve been saying and respect other people.
What a travesty. Sad that some people still wish to politicise the deaths of these poor kids. Have some moral perspective and respect.
#29 cutey you don’t know where shangombo is? are you Zambian? Can’t you even google the word?
Anyway, blame the (MMD) MPs for that area Sesheke – Senanga. They should have been bringing this issue up in Paliarment so that gov’t deals with the problems but no some of these MPs act like they are tourists in paliarment, they are just there to watch and shout hear! hear!
No Leadership.
#34. your flag Geologist, Canada; on your ““IT IS ALSO POSSIBLE THAT THOSE WHO GO TO SCHOOL FOR ONLY A FEW YEARS MAY BE INTELLIGENT AND EVEN LEARN A GREAT DEAL BY THEMSELVES”. So, stop what you’ve been saying and respect other people.”
Who said I do not respect other people’s education? The Undereducate is not other than Sata who is a Staandard 4 (equivalently a Grade 6) school drop out. Please, how difficult is this simple fact to your mind. Why do you want to generalise the issue of the Undereducate Micheal Chilufya Sata to others?
It is other people and you who keep referring to the “uneducated”, but as for me I write about MC Sata because he said president HH is underfive. Get it.
#33.Maestro Hhehhehhehhe
The bible also says that doing something good on the sabbath is not sin. Chasing those rebel MPs is good for Zambia as we will do away with stingy & greedy people who are wasting taxpayers money for their own benefits. So, you want to be calling people names during the week & then appear descent during sabbath? Then again do evil things the whole week? Don’t lead a periodic life because any other day is important.
#34. your flag Geologist, Canada; I just used my laptop on #37, otherwise it is still me Maestro Hhehhehhehhe, because I wan to resubmit my postings to you which I did not see an answer to yesterday.
Maestro Hhehhehhehhe in muslim he can be stoned to death.
He is over the bar.
stay well and have a nice 2009 hope you will be mature.
I don’t personally care for the man (Mr Sata) but he has achieved more than many graduates could ever dream of and for that he deserves some respect. However none of that has anything to do with the deaths of these poor kids.
#38. your flag Geologist, Canada; I remind you that our God is watching and you better confess before it is too later for trying to justify yourself will not help you here. Consider the following:
Isaiah 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, [from] doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking [thine own] words: 58:14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken [it].
Someting nuh right. A de first time me hear bout bombs exploding inna Zed. I man suspect a terrorist attack. Weh da bomb come from? Some maniac or fanatic moslems deh bout inna Zed me a tell unnuh people. Find dem quick!

40. your flag Khalid Sheikh Fayed, please spare me from that uselessness. I have read the quoran and Holy Bible which made me I know too much to be deceived.
too bad..
sorry
#36, I have heard about Shangombo but had no interest for the place before.. this story has made me remember the name but failed to place where it is.. no need to search on Google for shangombo..Thanx for your contribution/advice anyway…
FYI, AM a pure Zambian.. born and bred!!!!!!!! =d>=d>=d>**==**==**==
Zambia is bigger than France, Belgium and the UK combined, so its not a crime not to know where Shangombo is located. I do not remember it featuring heavily in my Social Studies or civics !!
,,,And yes, I do know where it is, for those whose fingers are now twitching and hovering a millimeter above the keyboard!
Y/day.Geologist, Canada; you wrote “As a physicist, you must know the word,”ENTROPY”, so minimize on this. You are a different SDA, and not like the rest of us.”
Indeed we taught you ‘P191: Introductory Physics and P231: Properties of matter and Thermal Physics’ since you are a Geologist from UNZA – unless I am mistaken and so you know very well that I understand ENTROPY.
On the SDA issue, while I appreciate that you may be one of us like you wrote who said all SDAs have the same nature and way of dealing with things. In case you are new to the church, read about the characters of Isreal’s/Jacob’s children in Genesis 49. Remember that even the 144 000 are from these tribes who are different.
Y/day.Geologist, Canada; As far as I am concerned, an SDA is one who has the following attributes:
Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the REMNANT of her seed, which KEEP the COMMANDMENTS of God, and HAVE the TESTIMONY OF Jesus Christ.
Revekation 14:12 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here [are] they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Revelation 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See [thou do it] not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
So baba, show how different I am!

Decon Maestro,
Please change the topic and talk about something else.
Y/day.Geologist, Canada; I will be waiting. Please, do not be a coward to respond to my #51 plea for you might just help me to something else I do not know about being SDA.

41. your flag Jaroph, the Undereducate MC Sata may have achieved much but his English leaves much to be desired. He also failed to show us that he uderstands the 1996 Republican Constitution which he helped coin to block former President Kenneth David Kaunda from standing for Zambian President by saying that whoever wins the 2008 Presidential by-election will not be subjected to elections in 2011 when the National Assembly is dissolved.
This is why, I feel Sata MC needs to register for Grade 7 exams slated for 2009 and then he can learn Grade 8 and 9 Civics to help him understand our Constitution.
At this moment Zambia can not afford to have an illiterate as our President.
Am very sorry for what has happened but so soon am coming to grow the horn.. :(:(:(:(

“Mugabe’s wife joins campaign
By George Chellah in Shamva, Zimbabwe
Saturday May 31, 2008 [04:00]
ZIMBABWE’s first lady Grace Mugabe (left) has said President Robert Mugabe will not leave office for MDC leader Morgan Tsvangirai even if he loses the June 27 presidential runoff. And Grace said it is an insult to compare President Mugabe with Tsvangirai, who does not even posses an O’level certificate of education.”
Rupia is always sleeping. My condolences to the family of the dead children.
task force, please arrest Chiluba. What are you waiting for????
Evidence ni mbweeeee.
“And Grace said it is an insult to compare President Mugabe with Tsvangirai, who does not even posses an O’level certificate of education. Meanwhile, President Mugabe said the runoff was crucial, as it would determine whether the country remains with Zimbabweans or goes back to the Rhodesians.”
“Addressing a public rally alongside her husband after touring villages that were allegedly burnt by MDC activists on Thursday, Grace vowed that the opposition would never assume power in Zimbabwe.”
“”You should vote correctly. Even if people vote for the MDC, Morgan will never step foot inside State House. He will only get to hear about what it looks like inside State House from people who have been there. Even if Baba Mugabe loses, he will only leave State House to make way for someone from ZANU-PF,” said Grace amidst laughter from President Mugabe and other party officials.”
‘”If he Tsvangirai was from a party which was made by Zimbabweans, we will accept, not when you are a front of whites. If it doesn’t come right this time again, we will vote again and again… this year we are voting until you know what it means to vote correctly. We will vote 20 times this year. This is no joke we should protect our country.”
Grace, who described her husband as a modest man, said President Mugabe had done a lot for Zimbabwe.’
‘”The whites are saying ‘what’s Mugabe trying to do?’ They are saying we want to fix him. Morgan is just being used as a front.
There is no comparison between Morgan and Baba Mugabe. It’s an insult to compare him with Baba,” Grace said. “Baba built us schools, there are some who are saying if Mugabe loses we will be kept by Morgan who does not even have an O level. You are giving away a country for a cup of sugar which can even cause tooth decay or a running tummy.”‘
Maestro sucks!!!!
‘She said President Mugabe had empowered Zimbabweans.
“Baba is saying here are tractors. We need to deal with farm workers, they are saying among themselves the whites will come back. They workers will not accept we are in-charge,” she said.
Grace said the West had an agenda to ensure that Zimbabweans did not run their economy.’
Education does not guarantee wisdom.
The world is full of educated people who lack common sense because, it seems, it is not so common after all !
‘”If they give me the mantle for once, the whites will run out of words to tarnish my image. They would call me Iron lady, black Hitler etc. Look, they sent blacks to fight fellow blacks… people like Collin Powell, Jendayi Frazer and James McGee US Ambassador,” Grace said.
“We are going to vote for our party which guides us. Let’s not be misled by Morgan, he is now mad. What’s left is to commit him to a psychiatric institution.”‘
‘She further condemned political violence.
“I am pained that some people lost their homes. Please don’t fight each other, don’t even provoke the MDC. If you persuade them, they will come back,” Grace said.
And President Mugabe warned the MDC to stop the violence.’
‘”What we saw really touched us. We are not animals but humans. If you burn down someone’s house, you want to destroy their life? We want to warn MDC they should stop this barbaric campaign of burning and destroying people’s homes immediately,” he said.
President Mugabe said the run-off was a crucial election, which would determine whether Zimbabwe remained with the people or went back to Rhodesians.
He said the March 29 election result was saddening.’
‘”We are sad for the people who were bought and sold out. These people are in the party, in the communities and shamed us as a party,” he said.
President Mugabe further said it was fortunate that laws in Zimbabwe provided for a run-off after a stalemate in the presidential election.’
‘”There was no winner according to our laws. Your vote is important, we are not happy with the results after the elections but go and vote together. Chiefs should go with their people even in areas where ZANU-PF lost. We must make sure that we retain our votes in those areas,” he said.
President Mugabe expressed concern with the party’s performance in Mashonaland Central. ZANU-PF lost two House of Assembly seats in the province – Bindura South and Mazowe West- in the last elections.’
‘”We are rocking as a nation and on June 27 when you go to vote, you should vote to show that Rhodesia is gone forever and Zimbabwe shall live forever,” President Mugabe said.
He said ZANU-PF was aware of the issues affecting the people such as shortages of food and basic commodities and the rise in prices.
‘
Will the Government pay the family for negligence that is ending putting it’s people in danger
#70,Awe, to be honest with you sometimes enough is enough when attacking others on the blog.. I was just advising Geologist Canada to take his cool and leave you alone lest he does not know you..Ifi ntinya nafyo tefisuma..

‘”These issues are being caused by sanctions, droughts and heavy rains that affected agricultural production last year. We had grown maize but it was destroyed by the heavy rains. However, the Reserve Bank has paid for 600,000 tonnes of maize from South Africa and is awaiting delivery and enough maize is coming to the people,” President Mugabe said.
President Mugabe said the British had imposed sanctions to mislead Zimbabweans.’
‘”Did you join ZANU-PF for salt or sugar or for our land? We can have these shortages, but we need to work, produce and be fine. We can work on the land to produce food,” he said.
President Mugabe said the government was working on empowering the people.’
‘”We want to empower the people but there are others who are saying people are starving because the white farmers are gone, they didn’t produce any food. The people in the communal farmers were producing food for the nation as they were growing tobacco,” he said.
President Mugabe also said there were programmes to upgrade roads, increase electricity generation and that the government was determined to complete them. ‘
Maestro.
We don’t want to talk about Zim. We built Zim with our resources and that pains.
You are very Funny Maestro. You are a like a storm in a tea cup.
Brother Maestro
I think you are using a wrong example as, in this case, the people uttering nonsense were the educated ones.

#75 ‘And Grace said it is an insult to compare President Mugabe with Tsvangirai, who does not even posses an O’level certificate of education.”’
#79 ‘”You should vote correctly. Even if people vote for the MDC, Morgan will never step foot inside State House. He will only get to hear about what it looks like inside State House from people who have been there. Even if Baba Mugabe loses, he will only leave State House to make way for someone from ZANU-PF,”’

96. your flag Anonymous, hhe hhe hhe hhe.
The above story is just a quote. I simply put it up to show you that some GOVERNMENTS will try to safeguard their Nations in times when the National do not know how to vote properly.
In this light, I urge all those who just say/write PABWATO and even vote for the Undereducate to vote wisely or they will continue crying about rigged elections.
I am not suggesting that our MMD GRZ are using such bad tactics though, but this news is an eye openner.
Enjoy your blogging you all.
#
97. your flag Rogue Trader, which example have I used wrongly following your:
“Brother Maestro
I think you are using a wrong example as, in this case, the people uttering nonsense were the educated ones.
”
?
Please, elaborate?
Ok Maestro, whats next on the agenda?
Maestro, If you want UPND to win just change the president to some one who is half Tonga and half something else.
I can’t see UPND going anywhere because at the moment Zambians want a man of action.
The Chinda-Law Association is curious to know where the bomb came from. Is it that the Zambia Army dropped it a some time back during the demining operations or during military operations to protect the country from the Savimbi rebles? Whatever the case many kinds of military explosive can be active for more than 50 years. In Russia explosives meant for use against facist are being discovered every year on new farm lands. They are still as active as they were.
Thats a terrible situation.Least expected in Zed.
Upcoming President

#92. your flag Magdalena(Magda), on your “#70,Awe, to be honest with you sometimes enough is enough when attacking others on the blog.. I was just advising Geologist Canada to take his cool and leave you alone lest he does not know you..Ifi ntinya nafyo tefisuma… Happy 2009 to you Maestro…
Do not be unforgiving.”
Thanks, I have already forgiven both you and Geologist, Canada, for you both do not know yet what you are doing.
I have not attacked anybody, I simply respond to people who attack or ask me. Look at the insults you wrote on me especially using your Bemba Language.
Like I wrote you are forgiven, but confess to Jesus Christ before it is too late. The ball is in your hands.
105. Anonymous, I am not a UPND member as I have written before. I am an independent SDA Zambian who happens to be Tonga by tribe.
My support for the UPND manifesto is purely because both you and me probably know that it is the best for Zambia.
On changing the UPND president, a change will be made at the right time following its constitution. I have absolutely no power to usurp president HH’s mandate. Besides, he has received a lot of support across the country and so I see the UPND retaining him for 2011 elections. A lot of people from 2006 have promised to vote for him in 2011 and interesting enough we will have more new voter voting who are really affected by the current problems.
A true leader for the country has yet to emerge. None of the current crop will amount to anything.
#108 continued.
So UPND is govern by its manifesto and not me an outsider. If you feeel you can contribute to it please join it. Like I wrote before, I am not a UPND member and will never join it for your own information. This is because I am an SDA whose job is to lead people to Jesus Christ and educate them so that they can be better people.
I have been contemplating of standing for President in 2016, as an Independent Presidential Candidate, but I feel I will serve many more Zambians properly by teaching them to respect one another and following God our Creator – for Jesus Christ left me and all others this commandment (see Matthew 28:19, 20).
#103. Maestro Hhehhehhehhe
From what I gather, you are pointing out the need for us to avoid voting for people whose lack of education will prove detrimental to the progress of our beautiful country. However, it is my humble opinion that the example you chose to illustrate your point does not do you justice. In this case, the people speaking against voting for someone who doesn’t possess O Level qualifications are themselves guilty of forms of dictatorship worse than those exhibited by Mr M C Sata.
We need to stop scraping the bottom of the well – there is nothing there.
It is time to dig a new well, and for that we need a leader with vision and uncompromising commitment to the country’s success and the well being of its people.
#110 continued.
Following all my above postings, I will end with the following scriptures one for now:
Matthew 28 + KJV Holy Bible
28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.
#107.Maestro Hhehhehhehhe
Thanks for forgiving Magdalena and I! I was just wondering! What time of the day were you really born? You seem to have really surpassed DJ Mbewe in story telling. You are allover the blog, defending every territory.
[-x Geologist, why whack the wasps nest at this juncture?
#113 continued.
And this is my DUTY as Maestro Hhehhehhehhe, Mugungulu H. Mwaanga:
King James Version Holy Bible:
Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this [is] the whole [duty] of man.14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether [it be] good, or whether [it be] evil.
#111, no. There can not be anyone worse than SATA and the useless Chiluba. Tell us something else or we shall classify you the same as these two useless, good for nothing old gittys. SATA has never had a convention since he formed that useless party, full of frustrated bad mannered people. Come on, even the dictaorial cruel Robert Mugabe is better than SATA and Chiluba. By the way, what is the average education levels of bloggers here? What is the average age? Only shallow minded illiterate people can see any sense in supporting SATA and the useless Chiluba.
There is no correlation between literacy and wisdom
#114. your flag Geologist, Canada; you are welcome. I was going to speak about Mr DJ Mbewe. He is my man. In fact, I will even write that he always used to tell me that one day I will be a Chairman. Then he would say that one day you will be a President of Zambia, but that will be long after I have died. I would then laugh and probably say NO because as an SDA I have long made up my mind that I will never go for Zambian Presidency. However, many people from country to country I have passed through and even at this institution have continued to ask me to go into politics saying that I might just clean up the mess which surrounds our current politics.
On sleeping, I will soon go to sleep.
The people who fought to free the country to free the country from colonialism were not all literate, yet those who were colonial masters were literate and, what’s more, proclaimed themselves to be followers of Christ.
Let’s not belittle those who cannot read.
Too sad, I have worked in that area before, there was another explosion in Nangweshi area near Siyoma, the Angolan landmines and hand held explosions are still a common thing in the area, RB and his click should address it before we loose a lot more lives who are still ignorant about such. Sensitization would do
Maestro Hhehhehhehhe, when were you at UNZA and where are you operating from today. You seem to be a very nice person. May be we know each other.

My friend, I did not give it as an example. I just thought it might open up some of my Zambuan people’s minds – as Zambian people may keep voting for nothing just because of external facts.
maestro- to be honest i understand this maestro is a chancer in life. whatever his status he cannot be admired. honestly did you ever do can you remember? we know some of you nimasukulu yogula. fyakubosha no wonder you are showing off. the story is about a bomb and death aleta Mugabe. thanks the blog no has one mad stuff…no wonder he is maestro- hhehehehe kakuta mabisi yayayaya

#117 The Real Deal
Wow, such sentiment!
I have never had the misfortunate of supporting Chiluba or Sata. My point was that the example used was not of the sort that would capture people’s imagination in a positive way.
I’m not concerned by the age or education level of other bloggers as I believe everyone is entitled to their opinion no matter how unpalatable.
Maestro, how do you know Real Deal is not MMD?
‘picked up the bomb along Senanga-Sesheke road and exploded when they tried to break it’ it is not in the bush. the bomb is not associated with historic matters. this is a new thing. the question that the govt should answer is where did it come from? this is where we hold those governing the nation responsible. other govts are ensuring that the citizens are in a safe country to live. Children need protection and its the duty of the head of state to ensure safety. here all those pulling RB from responsibility are joking. we need be safe and our children. roads must be safe all the time. next it will be your child. education yes but how about the soldiers trained and payed for womanizing no
“#92. your flag Magdalena(Magda), on your “Happy 2009 to you Maestro…”
Thank you very much. Sorry, I was busy I had to keep this until now, but I surely took note.
In fact, I intend to work very hard in 2009 as the UPND’s Charles Kakoma, Zambezi MP and Publicity secretary I think, advised me and us all to do personal development which might trickle down to the Nation at large. To this end, I will probably relax from Zambian issues and later re-surface just before the elections in 2011 to make sure Sata does not get anywhere near State House as Zambian President.

With the above writings, I rewrite now that I just posted the Zimbabwe article to help you and me realise that we can vote, but it is possible that powerful institutions can override our votes so as to protect possible future problems. Mrs Grace Mugabe said Zimbabweans MUST/SHOULD vote correctly and if they dont they will continue voting until properly not for an Undereducate.

#139. Magdalena(Magda), thanks. I have ever said that I am SDA on this blog, but because I defend the MMD GRZ and president HH with the UPND from people who insult, a lot of bloggers think that I am a UPND member. How sad!
Its good you have indicated that you are not BEMBA BY TRIBE. I have also not learnt it in class, but I stayed in Ndola and Kitwe where I picked it up. However, I do not use it to insult anyone no matter how expressive it is. I urge you to do the same.
We have one Zambia to develop. We do not need to all agree on making Sata Zambian President because our our differences in taste and not Tribe. I have written that VJ Mwaanga is my distant relative and I dont support MMD.
#141.Maestro Hhehhehhehhe
Can I propose a New name for you? You can always reject it if you don’t want. Here it is:
“MINISTER OF PROPAGANDA & INFORMATION”.
Also, Maestro, given the focused political debate you wish conduct, and the strategy you wish to pursue for 2011, you might benefit from having a dedicated website/forum to carry your views and host debates that do not fit in with some of the specific topics or news items that are on this forum. By doing that you could lend others the opportunity to review and learn from full volumes of your thoughts and arguments rather than compressing them in these confined spaces.

#145, so congratulations on your successes and even failures even if you did not go to any university. I truly support people who make it in all there activities.
I support the Undereducate MC Sata as PF leader because it is his own party, but I will never encourage anyone to elect him as Zambian President not only on his education level, but also on his past record. The man thinks he can cheat everyone. He goes to Western Province and thinks the Litunga and has people are dull by making a promise to bring back the Barotseland issue on the table. The man copies late Mazoka’s and HH’s campaign messages on advising the MMD government and thinks we all forgot who is the originator of such.
#
146. your flag Geologist, Canada, hhe hhe hhe hhe. The name is welcome, but it can not fit in the username compartment for LT blogging. We will see how we will do in future, who knows I light assume it.
149.Maestro Hhehhehhehhe The challenge is convincing Sata supporters that he is no good – he is, after all, the voice of the people in a lot of urban areas. The problem seems to be that a good number of his supporters never seem to realise that they need to be registered voters and, more than that, they actually need to vote!
Personally, I do not think he will be a major force in the next elections. His self distructive tendencies may well be his undoing, long before that watershed.
#
147. your flag Jaroph, I will consider that. Thanks for the advise.
The tricky is that MY TIME TABLE IS TRICKY AS I HAVE TO MOVE AROUND FROM PLACE TO PLACE AND HAVE COMMITTED MYSELF TO FOREIGN INSTITUTIONS.
Anyhow, I will see how much I sacrifice for Zambia. I LOVE ZAMBIA TOO MUCH TO LET IT IN THE HANDS OF SATA AFTER CHILUBA’s unproductive rule.

On No. 148:
I think most frustrations stem from the fact that whatever the subject matter, you seem unable to resist diverting the debate into areas that having nothing to do with the subject matter. Granted some of your thoughts are interesting, but it can become tiresome if you seek to hijack every theme into the same familiar and over debated, over exposed arguments, especially those involving vitriol against Monsieur Sata.
#
155. your flag Sony Ericsson Phiri, you will continue hating while we Tonga businessmen make it. FYI, president HH is tipped to have invested heavily in Zambia Sugar PLC. Come 2011, by God’s grace, you will probably cry because thi time president HH is likely to decalre 100 Billion Kwacha or more.
Wait and see!
I might also declare about the same amount if you are not careful around that same time.

Indeed, No. 165, a lot of money was plundered from ZCCM and the culprits are still laughing.
#
163. your flag Jaroph, thats good. The difference though is that president HH is making that money in Zambian and also as an opposition leader where the environment is against him.
Many people want him HH to fail in politics and also lose his money just by interpolating and extrapolating on the comments exhibited on here and in Zambia especailly from our Bemba Speakers. But daily they are busy being shocked rudely for the man HH is making it in this Zambian hostile environment. This is why I am advising #155. your flag Sony Ericsson Phiri to behave or else he will continue gnashing his teeth and probably suffer from BP for nothing.
#
164. your flag Magdalena(Magda), tell the character and keep it up.
165. your flag Geologist, Canada; on your “I would be happy if an article were to be posted touching on issues concerning Privatization of the Mines! I can prove how your Man amassed wealth from that exercise at the expense of these very Zambians you say you have a heart for.”
I am more than willing to see such an or that article. I am also looking forward to see you proof. Mind you Minister Tetamashimmba or Mulongoti was advised to do the same by president HH himself and no one has taken up the challenge. So, go for it. If you even have any criminal evidence please report to the police very soon and I will be very interested to read/hear the court proceedings.
I am just after pioneering peace on this blog.. wouldn’t you like to remember me for this???
No. 168 Maestro…I think you will find that one Friday Ndhlovu is also making his cash legitimately in Zambia and there are many more like him who do not spend their time on street corners shouting about how much kwacha they have amassed since last week. There are people making serious money in Zambia.
I chap left a £50k a year job in London early this year and is now working for a bank in Lusaka earning the equivalent of £90k a year. That is why I have said those of who are outside Zambia are only showing our ignorance when we assume that there are no opportunities in Zambia for the so called educated from without!

166. your flag Magdalena(Magda), on your “#158, Maestro.. your problem is your lenghthy articles, repitition of same theories you have in mind/dreams and sometimes simply irritating.. don’t get annoyed.. am merely telling you the truth and the truth hurts.” thank you very much. I will see how I can improve. This is what I call constructive criticism or advice and such has been lacking for all this time.
When I write much, I do it to help those who fail to understand sense in my writing to have the bigger simpler picture.
#
172. your flag Jaroph, great stuff my friend. You know what HH mentions such money simply because he has to declare it at Presidential Nomination times and nothing more or less.
Indeed, their could be many Zambians with a lot of money than president HH like I think one Mr Mweemba or so who came from UN or so and stood for Zambian President in 2001, but lost terribly such that he has never resurfaced again.
So, president HH is a public figure and this is why his money is known while others like that man you mentioned are not in the political limelight.
If it would be nice, some tabloid in Zambia can start showing us who has how much money, but I think it is completely unnecessary.
No. 175: My point is that HH’s money is of no consequence, he has to show true leadership qualities and vision before he can assume the role of president. So far, he has failed to do so, and as he also lacks the charisma of your nemesis, Mr Sata, he has a lot of ground to cover. In particular, he has to prove that he stands for the whole country and not just southern province.
That he only stands for Southern province might be an unfair perception but perceptions in politics are everything and that is a mountain he will have to surmount. Personally, I don’t think he is the man for the job.
#176, I respect your opinion on president HH, but like I said people will always know his money level as long as he stand s for the Zambian Presidency.
On the alleged Southern Province, I understand your point but acknowledge that HH has constantly and constently beaten Sata in Western, Northwestern, Eastern, and Sotuhern Province. Sata has only benefited from one fact and that is Lusaka and Copperbelt provinces have many votes especially that HH performs badly in Copperbelt.
However, I wrote somewhere that people have already pledged to vote for him in 2011. In 2006, I took a bus from Joburg to Cape Town with a Zambian Bemba woman who just then came from voting I think from home.
Well, I do have an open mind so I will follow his progress and see what develops over the next two years
#177 continued.
I was coming from Pretoria then. The woman informed me that many people including herself had resolved and opted to vote for Sata then in 2006, but agreed to vote for president HH in 2011 because they wanted to try Sata as an experiment and also HH is young so much that he still has 2011 to contest.
I was very surprised at this thought. What impressed me though is that I found the same story in the blogs and also at home in Zambia. So, president HH’s poor performance in Lusaka and probably the CB provinces is simply that HH is on reserve for 2011 and nothing else.
You might have even heard/read HH’s own comments that he will be waiting for those 2011 promised votes …
#179.
You might have even heard/read HH’s own comments that he will be waiting for those 2011 promised votes …when he was acknowledging defeat to President RB Banda.
I have been to Zambia twice this year and I know what the people, voters, on the ground are saying. I whenever, I go to Zambia, I move from Livingstone to Kitwe because I stay in those areas from time to time. Even if I spend two weeks in Zambia be assured that I will move from L/stone to Kitwe and during such movements I meet people of all kinds. I talk to them just for me to get their mindset as Zambians on the future and current trends.
Luapula and Northern provinces for the first time has embraced HH.
Keep checking out.
178.Jaroph, like your wrote, just keep following the events at home and you will notice this.
If your are looking for data from the media especially the POST, you will probably get negative news about president HH or nothing at all.
This seems to be a problem because HH does not entertain corrupt activities. HH does his things in a transparent manner and many people who are used to nichekheleko do not like such.
This is also the reason why some people have failed to stay in the UPND because late Mazoka spoiled them with free gifts while HH maintains that all must contribute to the party including members/cadres – this is the new culture of HH managing politics and being issue-based.
Well tried # 7, LT needs to look around for better employees who can construct simple sentences correctly. I can’t withstand the merciless butchering of the Queen of England in the LT (gramma) articles. Mwachila bane….

179. your flag Maestro Hhehhehhehhe, the woman told me that she was a business person in Lusaka, but on this instance she was going to pursue a Masters Degree at the University of Western Cape in Cape Town South Africa. She even informed that the she 2 children at that same institution while the remaining one I think was just completing his/her Grade 12 in Zambia and would follow to South Africa soonest.
Sad enough, we all move from each other when we reached Cape Town due to each one of us’ business never to meet again todate.
I just had to share this one too before I sleep. All the very best.

189. your flag Anonymous, hhe hhe hhe hhe. =d>. Yaba, does it mean that we have to blog all the time? Vote =; next time there will be elections in Zambia.
It is sad to here some of the guys talking about the ignorance of the boys. Remember Zimbabwe got independence in 1980. None of those boys were born and I am sure they could not have suspected the device as a bomb. Just a few weeks ago we have a boy who had his leg broken due to a bomb on the border with Angola. This should be a lesson to our security forces and the educational institutions to inform the people in rural Zambia about the presence of landmines. One quick things to be done to send pictures of landmines to schools and churches so that people should identify and notify the security. We all have the duty to protected our brothers and sisters. May God console the family.
To my fellow bloggers this is OFF TOPIC BUT please please everytime i go on this BLOG SOME PIPO R ARGUING ABOUT TRIBES N LANGUAGES. 193. your flag Mukwa ginger brandy, good advise though it appears I am safer marrying a pure Tonga although my take is that anyone who is SDA is good enough as our beliefs may somehow help the bith of us.
A lot of deceived tribal characters on here need such great advice from you. Keep it up and continue hammering the nail on its head to help those who are lost in evils like tribalism.
Maestro I See that u are very knowledgeable on bible issues but i will tell you one thing you can be ordained a deacon by men but it’s what God has ordained u to be that matters, i’m not a bible master but the most important LAWS R love the LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND ALL YOUR SOUL AND ALL YOUR MIND, and 2nd is love your neighbor as yourself, people seem to see only 10 commandments as the LAWS these two. MANY CHRISTIANS R THAT BECAUSE OF FEAR OF GOING TO HELL RATHER THAN THAT THEY LOVE GOD SOOO MUCH. WE ARE SO CONSUMED BY the TECHNICAL LAWS THAT WE FORGET THE GREATEST, AND THE 2ND as we JUST SIT AND BLOG ON LT convincing ourselves that we r holy…
#193 I think its more important that u marry an SDA rather than look at their tribe. Afterall the bible says everyone that has recieved christ has the right to be called ‘A child of God’ ok i know this is not an exact quote. But i tell you for me if it were not for the reason of fellowship i would not go to church, I have been to most denominations in Zambia,(baptist, catholoic, pres, sda, etc) and i realised that we are more consumed with self-righteousness than with the humility of JESUS christ, we rather mechanically try to be perfect rather than allow GOD to do his perfect work in us.I am glad that it did not lead me to be an athiest, but i see y some people becomen such
#165 – Sorry, if you are a Geologist by profession going by your blog name, you may have to go to business school to understand HH’s role in the sale of mines and other companies that were under receivership and liquidation.
#195. Mukwa ginger brandy and 196, thank you.
I will however educate you a bit with Matthew 18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Whether men on Earth perform the duties or not, our God surely placed them for a reason. Trying to belittle them may just bring fatal consequences on someone and so take careful care my friend.
Nevertheless, I respect your opinion and thank God you are not an atheist. I mentioned the Geologist about myself for he was acting in a double way of insisting justice on rebel PF MPs and writing about my adventism when he clearly failed to obey.
#198 continued.
Acts 5:32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and [so is] also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
With this scripture, my intention was to show my friend that it is not right to try and show a picture that someone you do not know properly is in the wrong.I am happy at the end of the day he came round to understand my point. Which was simply a message of love.
On your allusion to church denominations, just know that human being are fallable and not perfect. However, God’s true church is true. The 2 commandments you mentioned are:
1st = Comm. 1 – 4 in Exodus 20. 2nd = Comm. 5 – 10
and nothing more or less. So Jesus Christ never changed anything
#198 I did not belittle in anyway I was Just trying to highlight that what God sees in us is more important than what men do. Nway I rather not Judge and point fingers at people and I have respect for Servants of God and pray for them, because they will be judged more harshly. BUT I THINK MANY it is rather sad that christians we fear hell more than we love God!
#200 correction i think it is rather sad tha christians fear hell more than we love God! Most of the ‘christians acts’ we do are because we want to follow and obey God not because we love God. If i truly love God, I would do the things that God commands because i Love him and don’t want to dissapoint him and i want him to be happy and not hurt.
#199 continued.
So Jesus Christ never changed anything as indicated below:
Matthew 5 + KJV Holy Bible.
5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach [them], the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Have a blessed day.
201. Mukwa ginger brandy, you are on the spot. This is exactly why Jesus Christ, our Creator, Saviour, Lord and God did not entertain the Pharisees, Scribes and others who tried to do things dis-speakable in the eyes of God. Do you remember the scripture on how God the Son Jesus Christ wiped those who were doing business in the Temple area.
Such is exactly what I am doing because I am following Jesus Christ as the term Christian connotes – following exactly and faithfully what Jesus Christ did. I stand for justice and truth. nothing more or nothing less.
Otherwise, I understand your point and later. I have more pressing issues to attend to now that I have cleared most of concerns here.
maestro…..I have just noticed you say you are distantly related to VJ. I am also (very unfortunately) not so distantly related to the man. To my shame., for sure? My father’s people come from around Monze….are we related? I wouldn’t mind getting in touch, but I don’t know how to do so in privacy here….any suggestions? I can give you more details on my family if you like! It would be great to find a long-lost brother here!
Can please some one give me the new e-mail address for post newzpaper’ letters to the editor’ column. The one I have seems out of use after Membe went .com from co. zm. PLEASE, any one?
Any one?

204. your flag gelogelo, write me on [email protected] as this is the best I can suggest. Have a blessed day.
condolences to the family of the deceased
The reference to a “60-millimeter bomb” is most likely to have been a 60mm HE (high explosive) mortar launched grenade, not a land mine. Given the proximity of Shangombo to the Angolan border and operational territory of UNITA forces for decades, it is likely that unexploded ordinance will continue to be discovered there as floods and farm tilling expose shells long buried. My heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
Yakima. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Illiteracy in Zambia is even at degree level. In all our newspapers reporting is so muddled you wouldnt get a clue as to what they mean. You are left thirsting for more information!
