  1. i just hope the vehicles will be used for the intended purposes and not for enriching themselves at the expense of national resourses

  2. Thats a good development and just hope that enumerators this time around will be genuine school pupils(Grades 11 & 12)and not those relatives from senior civil servants as was the case in 2000. No corruption.

  3. Controlling officers who monitor government vehicles should really keep an eye on those vehicles otherwise if left unchecked non of those vehicles will be available for census 2010.

  4. I hope VJ and MMD Guys wont steal some for 2011 election campaign because MMD conducts during election is always taking advantange of poor government resources to rig elections.

  5. Why not release the Vehicles in 2010 then for the intended purpose or we are going to wait for this story to become news? :-w

  6. Cso does a great job, it’s more than just counting people, they provide the government vital demographic information and this is heavily relied upon during budget preparation and by donors. visit their website and you will see for yourself. they provide the complete data but sometimes our leaders look at the dept like a useless office.

  7. Zambia seriously needs to look at the population growth pattern and also critically look at where more people are. How can we develop when those with less finantial muscles are having a lot of childern. Who is gonna send their kids to school, RB, oh no.
who is gonna clothe them, feed them and provide sufficient shelter.
most street children , actully have parents who only think about themselves and not thefuture of their kids.
any one who earns less than one million should only desire to get one child(after saving of course)
only those getting above three millions should have more than one.
lets develop the nation by living wisely

  8. Good morning all! :)>-

Well, the donation is definately most welcome, but i think done a bit too early. This is only january 2009 and by the time the census starts maybe mid next year, there will be no vehicle to talk about. mark my words, these vehicles will be used for running personal errands like taking children to school(next week), Transporting fertiliser and farm produce (as we speak), taking the girlfriend out(this weekend and the next) etc…
Zambians are not only ungrateful but extremely careless. watch this space!

  9. Real Zambian

Ndatekanya mudala. what am saying are facts. You will be the same people crying tommorow. Do you honestly (deep down your heart) believe those vehicles will last till next year? Pa Zed? Eya!!
