Faz Tries To Calm Rangers Appeal Case Storm

Share

Faz disclosed on Wednesday that the final ruling on Nchanga Rangers boardroom victory to maintain their Premier League status awarded by the association’s appeals committee was mare media speculation.

This is despite Rangers confirming they had won their appeal case against Chambishi in the case of the latter alleged use of two unregistered players in a Week 16 match home match that ended 1-1 on August 2 at Chambishi grounds.

The decision made last Friday, saw relegated Rangers, who finished level on 35 points with Lusaka Dynamos, who survived the drop, after finishing in 13th and 12th places respectively exchange positions following the ruling to see the former finish on 37 points.

However, Faz spokesperson Emmanuel Munaile said there was nothing official over the running saga.

“We would like to reaffirm that the final league of the 2008 KCM/FAZ Premier League will be released after the meeting of the FAZ Premier League Committee,” Munaile said at Wednesday’s weekly press briefing.

“So meaning the appeals committee’s report has not been released officially.”

Meanwhile, Chambishi nor Lusaka Dynamos have both said they have not received any official correspondence from the Faz appeals committee over the ruling.

But Chambishi have maintained that Sakala and Bwalya were free agents and duly their players after Rangers fired them before the July mid-season local transfer window.

Rangers on the other hand, disregarding labor laws and the players Bosman rights, said the duo were still on the Chingola sides player retention list meaning the club was entitled to a transfer fee for the Sakala and Bwalya despite firing them.

Dynamos on the other hand have vowed to fight up to the highest courts in the land to keep their top-flight status.

  8. I urge all clubs to boycoat games next season if Rangers are allowed to stay in the Premier Division. This club specialises in buying favours for survival. I have ample examples

  9. Why didn’t Nchanga raise the point of using ‘their’ players by Chambishi immediately after the game? Can Chambishi possibly use players that have not been cleared in game with the team the players come from? Is FAZ trying to side with Nchanga because the their sponsors are the sponsors of the so called FAZ-KCM premier league? It is a circus. We should be serious with the way we run the affairs of football in Zambia. The FAZ president has been on holiday?!?£”$

  10. My appeal to ALL concerned ( i.e. the Executive Committee , The Coaching Bench , Players , Supporters and the Sponsors ) is that they should take steps NOT to allow Nchanga Rangers to be demoted to lower ranks.

Rangers was formed in the 50s and to imagine that present day people can allow all what has been built over these years to go to waste is a big let down for Rangers and all concerned.

My suggestion is that Rangers need a new executive committee ,rejuvinated support from the sponsors, committment from the bench , players and good support from the supporters. The supporters should also let go off withcraft which they are practising according to what we were told by the Rangers Cha

  11. nchanga yasila. dynamos should not be demoted were was rangers when its players were being used .why didnt they complain there and then?
the current FAZ is also full of scandal. remember the mayuka saga, the chilemena mhende confrontatin

  12. #27 sure uli kapoli. Man U was demoted not along time ago and no body said anything about it. Thats why the English game is ever improving while ours is nose diving

  13. Mwibaleka bambuli aba ukuti bonaule bola mu Zambia. Let Nchanga go down may that will give them chance to reflect and become a better team

  14. Ba Brave mwitusebanya umfweniko ifyo chiba nga tamuleteya bwino no kuchinja ama coaches, start afresh and make a good plan.
Mukalateya naba Nkana,Wanderers it will be just like mu super division

  15. Rangers should just accept that they have been demoted. Much as we sympathise with them we cant support boardroom decisions when we have a football pitch to decide who gets what points. I’m sure FAZ wont accept this appeal ruling.

  16. Teams have the right to appeal Remember the Carlos Chavez saga when demoted teams thought West Ham should have been demoted?

  17. Mmmmmmggh! FAZ MUPPET. Let’s be fair. We know KCM are the league sponsors, but football points are won on the pitch. Just drop Rangers and let the Elite team continue in the Premier as they deserve it looking at the way they played throughout the season. 😕

  18. Brave Rangers to stay in ZPL as FAZ increase number of teams to 18, meaning that Nkana will stay as well. Good news
