    • I hope the Zimbabwe land saga will never end up in Zambia. Why is it that better pastoral land, and rich loamy soils are always grabbed from the indiginous only to be given to the foreigners. One most funny thing is that once a foreigner buys land in Zambia, he will never ever sell it back to an indigenous Zambian. They usually sell among themselves!!! in the mean time, Locals are thrown into arid mountaineous areas. God have mercy – Zimbabwe was terrible, and so is war!

    • they will aquire land for the mentioned project but just to sale the land after they aquire title and imagine the profit they make. thats what is happening in Livingstone. you cant buy land near water front its all bought by ghost investers, you wont aford to buy it from them as they also target south africans and australians. let the people have their land and continue with farming. theses fotographers should be allocated far away so they can pull zesco power and develpment out there so our people can also benefit from the socalled investment atleast if they cant create employment.

  1. That cooperation among political parties is good for development.only that our leadership seem to put foreigner first on serious issues at the expense of indigenous people, for the sake of international recognition.too bad,its wrong men!

    • How about cooperation on issues that really matter, like the Zamtel scandal? The opposition in Zambia have been gifted with a free kick (the scandals) and they have lamentably failed to take advantage.

  2. I just think the president has too much power and this should not be going through him but the MP’s should have the right and power to debate this and throw it out if they so wish.

  3. Good job UPND MPs for standing on your words reported in other meadia that”you will take this matter to a higher authority” who is President RB Banda in this case. ON “Namwala MP Robbie Chizhyuka who is the Spokesperson for the 50 told ZANIS in Lusaka today that the 50 MPs are seeking the President’s intervention to the plight of over 8, 500 people of Sichifulo who have been forced out of Sichifulo Game Management Area where they have lived for 23 years”, I would like to congratulate the UPND, PF and Independent MPs who signed the petition on doing a great job for ZAMBIANS.

If you continue working together like this, I believe we all Zambians shall shout in chorus “SURE WE WILL”…

  4. LET THEM GO BACK TO THE GAME RESERVE AND EAT WILD ANIMALS THEY ARE MORE NUTRICIOUS THAN DENKETE NG’OMBE. WHY CHASE FOR THE SAKE OF PICTURE TO PLEASE INFESTORS.
PROMOTE LOCAL PEOPLE. NOT THIS FAKE CEE FUND

  5. Hope this hard to listen government will lend an ear to these well meaning MPs and please may we vote out these MMD MPs in 2011 could they did not sign the petition which is well intended.

  6. Why should it even take a petition? Why are the MMD MPs not involved?

These are things which make me “proud” to be a Zambian. lol!

  7. WHAO!!!!!………………….UPND,PF,FDD & Pro MMD Independent MP (Charles Milupi) working togather is just what Zambia needs @ the moment.I could not jst imagine those can actually be compatible.Very good brethren.

  8. Good morning Mummy. I dont see my dad nowadays, did you divorce or what? Morning Miss Daisy and Nine Chale. ba prof.. balifulungana na UPND. Everything its UPND, thus why tamwaifyompe State house.

  9. 3RqU, see you and take care. LT is terrible nowadays, the upgrade has become a downgrade. Let them just go back to the old system.

  10. Petition its a very good move.
But does this goverment care?Abena Mbwezani u cant trust them. They would rather go out of the country than talk about people who voted him. shame.

  11. Its again politics at the expess of economic development. This is same of what happened during KK’s regime when investors wanted to put up a 5 Star hotel in the area of Misisi compund. Twenty years down the line pipo are being mispalced to pave way for industries. We talk of attracting investment on one hand on the other we under mine ourselves. Zambia has vast tracts of land why cant MPs engage GRZ on the way forward. It may sound inhuman to residents of Sachifulo in Southern Province but lets us draw the line between viable investment. When Game Management Areas were being set up there was alot of resistance from politicians coz of votes to keep them popular and in power. Let us move on.

  12. Am sure it wasnt going to be Magande’s decission ALONE to cancell the debt. He was to bring it before parliament and they were going to give it a yes or no vote. Guys, correct me if am wrong. Saving ZA was also going to be a good thing for the country. We need our own airline in the country.

  13. As for the opposition members thats a good move. Thanks for being principled and for speaking for the people, thats what we need .
