PF welcomes ANC victory in SA elections

Share

The Patriotic Front (PF) says the much awaited victory of the ruling African National Congress (ANC) in South Africa is a true sign of the people’s will.

In an interview with ZANIS in Lusaka yesterday, PF spokesperson Given Lubinda said the South African election had an impact on everyone living in the sub-Saharan region .

Mr. Lubinda observed that the aspect of shortage of ballot papers at most polling stations is not a good thing considering the fact that South Africa has one of the heaviest investments in terms of human and economic resources in Southern Africa.

He, however, said the incident should not be seen as a plan by the ruling party to rig elections as such things do happen.

He said the win by the ANC is a welcome thing considering the fact that the elections were free and fair and that the will of the people must be respected by all peace loving south Africans despite their different races.

Mr. Lubinda said the people of South Africa have expressed their will and decided that Jacob Zuma should govern the country. He said the region should, therefore, respect the election of Jacob Zuma as new South African President.

He expressed happiness at the manner in which the general election was conducted and that South African’s still have confidence in the ruling ANC. He added that it is a good thing that the National Prosecuting Authority has cleared Zuma of all his charges.

That is the problem with the PF. They are very inconsistent. If this same “incident” was to happen in Zambia, the PF would be crying foul and start making accusations.

    PF is very inconsistent.

    ————————–

I would like to however congratulate the ANC for winning the elections and I would also like to congratulate the DA for winning the Western Cape.

  2. PF but why do you complain if MMD wins election??? Good though for Zuma the man deserves it after waiting for too long

  3. Ba uze Given. Don’t worry on 2011 it will be ANC congratulating you when you become the Presido. Pabwatooooooooooo

  5. Hey South Africa based bloggers, what is that local SA number that one can dial 1st when calling landlines in Zambia and be charged a local instead of international rate?

  6. PF stands for personal front. Sata is fronting mukaladi half munthu Lubinda, Heheheheheh!!
I am not a racist but it is true,

  7. Oh dear they have elected a wrong leader, too late to change, this is the down fall of South Africa and the increase of unrest.

  8. PF excitement lies in Zuma’s level of academic achievement which I agree can be comparedto Mr Sata’s own. However, I think Zuma is more clever

  9. Allow internal democracy and elections to appreciate how it works.SA like any functional democracy has had leaders derive their mandate from the ballot than the self imposition in PF. 8 years no elections undermines moral authority.

  10. Strippa ,Is that your pic ?If it is, then you are so so beautiful ,you have strippt my heart .pf is armagedden

As for Zuma’s victory Iam also happy for him,Mbeki has to be ready hard times now.I miss you so much mwebantu bakwa Lesa.

    Nine cibusa wenu,

    Matworld Nice Guy!

  27. Ok mwebalechifankisha mu diaspora.naine mu real Africa ndekonkanyapo aponachilekela lelo uluchelo.lelo ndeikata CLUB BILIKANAS yachibe mwaba umwana wa mu swahili mixed arab “imputi sooooo” temwakwingila Ba SIDO kulya capital. Awe but TZ napo chalilila tekwkwisa abena ZUMA.

  28. The load on Zuma’s shoulders is too enormous.i dont think he’ll deliver to the too expectant south africans.populist policies will never work in the capitalist entrnched south africa.

  29. #53 Matworld, maths can be tough, but you can do it, just keep practicing and you will be shocked at the progress… whats maths are you doing?

  30. How did the South Africans manage to count 17, 000, 000 votes in 3 days and Zambia took over a week to count less than 5, 000, 000 votes. If we follow what happened in SA our results should be ready in one day! I hope ECZ will take a trip to South Africa to find out how they managed this feat. No delays in announcing results in 2011.

  31. PF are always first to congratulate the worst of leaders – what does that say about their discretion, and potential as good leaders? Now Lubinda is dismisses a electoral irregularities as “things that happen” when they never stopped crying foul about the same in our elections.

Soon after Mugabe’s ‘re-election’, Sata was the only person wondering why everyone made a fuss since, in his opinion, Mugabe had won fair and square. What a joke! I hope people pay attention to such trends as indicators of the kind of leaders they are trying to elect into power.

  32. #23, this is another HOT pic, but please smile and put on your shades… Did you see my latest comments on the Luanshya mine thread???

  33. On “He, however, said the incident should not be seen as a plan by the ruling party to rig elections as such things do happen.

He said the win by the ANC is a welcome thing considering the fact that the elections were free and fair and that the will of the people must be respected by all peace loving south Africans despite their different races.“, I am very surprised to see totally perpendicular statements and racism come on from PF’s Mr Lubinda G. Like many bloggers have already highlighted why is PF behainv like this when they dispute Zambian elections? Why is PF quick to congratulate Zuma and ANC when they know that ANC is almost a monopoly in terms of winning elections in SA?
Someome mentioned that Zuma’s education level is similar to the Undereducate, interesting!

  34. 62 continued.

On Zuma’s victory maybe the Undereducate hopes to get his money that was confiscated in SA some year ago.

59 Citizen, following your “Soon after Mugabe’s ‘re-election’, Sata was the only person wondering why everyone made a fuss since, in his opinion, Mugabe had won fair and square. What a joke! I hope people pay attention to such trends as indicators of the kind of leaders they are trying to elect into power“, the Undereducate actually mentioned that Zimbabwean Leader Mugabe had won clearly a free and fair election and also said that this is Africaand what else do you expect.
Let PF understand that Zuma has been very critical of Mugabe R’s hole on power in Zimbabwe and will probably do a better job than Mbeki did. Surely, SADC has to look to Zuma now.
