MUVI TV will not be broadcasting to Copperbelt viewers

Share

MUVI TELEVISION has announced the opening of a Bureau on the Copperbelt Province and not a Television station to broadcast to Copperbelt viewers.

MUVI TV Managing Editor Costa Mwansa said in a statement this evening that the Bureau will have its headquarters in Kitwe and will house both the Newsroom and production house.

Mwansa explains that MUVI TV Managing Director, Steve Nyirenda, has however clarified that the Copperbelt Bureau will not be broadcast to Copperbelt viewers but only operate on the basis of news coverage on the Copperbelt and later televised to its Lusaka viewers.

He further clarified that the production house on the Copperbelt has embarked on a project to enroll young and upcoming actors for some of the forthcoming local film productions under the SN Film project.

He has further emphasized the stations desire to inform and educate the masses through its policy of developmental and objective community reporting.

MUVI Television has been rated the most popular television station in the country since its inception five years ago.

  1. They should broadcast online too at a fee which I would gladly pay. Znbc used to broadcast via africast but got bulleted last year.

  2. #3 Could it be because ZNBC were not paying their fees? That is the usual problem with Zambian state run things.

  3. Most popular in the country when it’s only viewed in Lusaka? Who does the rating? ‘Course the wrighter of this piece!

  4. Here the problem is the govt thru the CA.The CA does restrict broadcast licences to private players coz they know to well that if they go national,ZNBC will become redundant.

  5. they will definitely broadcast in the near future. i kinda support their decision, i don’t criticize here …

  6. thats is why zambian wil never prosper, if the it was an international TV they were going to give them a license right away.

  7. That is why Zambians will never prosper, if is was an International TV station they were going to give them a license right away.

  8. please govt its time you gave Muvi Tv a license country wide, the money muvi has is not stolen from zed govt, its hard earned.

  9. On “Mwansa explains that MUVI TV Managing Director, Steve Nyirenda, has however clarified that the Copperbelt Bureau will not be broadcast to Copperbelt viewers but only operate on the basis of news coverage on the Copperbelt and later televised to its Lusaka viewers”, this is not bad for there is always a starting point. Indeed it will be great for Lusaka and its surrounding areas to know what is happening on the Copperbelt especially that the Copperbelt brothers and sisters are behind in voting properly for leaders that could move Zambia. This move will thus allow the Lusaka and nearby viewers to know why the voting is that way in CB Province.
Such will help the opposition and MMD political parties to have a working strategy for CB people.

  10. As for “He further clarified that the production house on the Copperbelt has embarked on a project to enroll young and upcoming actors for some of the forthcoming local film productions under the SN Film project”, good for we need to see more Bikilonis and Difikotis from other parts of our great Nation Zambia.

Following “He has further emphasized the stations desire to inform and educate the masses through its policy of developmental and objective community reporting“, this is what Zambia needs and not insulting the President RB Banda while attempting to rehabilitate the irrehabilitatible Undereducate Sata MC’s image until he joins a National political party and stops his tendencies.

  11. Zambian goverment doesnt want to see local investors progress, why not just give them the license to broadcast? its really a shame.
ZNBC is dead boring and will never develop we are just wasting ama 3 pin bakachisale fye.

  12. Open up a bureau for what ? when the locals in that area won’t benefit and be informed of what is happening in their area. Be sincere with your dealings and chat nicely with the licencing authorities. If it doesn’t work better concentrate on your broadcast in Lusaka and not fool people on the copperbelt by putting up Bureau which means nothing to them.

  13. Who said “MUVI Television has been rated the most popular television station in the country”? Please you should specify that this station is only popular in Lusaka. For your information Zambia is not Lusaka.

  14. “MUVI Television has been rated the most popular television station in the country since its inception five years ago.” I find this statement very deceiving. How do you say a popular tv station in the Country when it is only viewed in Lusaka. Ba LT be serious with what you feed our eyes on.

  15. If Muvi Tv is the most popular tv station in the country, then who did the rating and which country are you talking about ? Pleople who have never lived in Lusaka have no idea about the station

  16. How was the rating done/ You say it is only broadcast to Lusaka and yet it is the most popular in the country. How is that?
Shouldn’t that be “most popuilar in Lusaka”?

  17. Thats sad for the people on the Copperbelt. It’s always good to give if information that you can see so that you see and know if it’s precisely reported. But the idea of having a production house in Kitwe to make news for Lusaka, to me it doesn’t sound right. I believe something popular is something that is known everywhere. But MUVI Tv, Awe its only popular in Lusaka. Its just now when it has started showing on Free-To-Air.

  18. What is wrong with “Us” African’s. When is the pull her/him down syndrom going to end.
What is it that ‘they’ Gorvenment dont want people on the copperbelt not to see.

  19. when it comes to elections we all vote don’t we but when it comes top watch MUVI TV only the lusaka people can watch for free and not paying why please let us know if we are one country oh not ?

  24. Woah! I’m really enjoying the template/theme of this website. It’s simple,
yet effective. A lot of times it’s challenging to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and visual appeal. I must say you’ve done a fantastic job with this.
Also, the blog loads very fast for me on Opera.

    Excellent Blog!
