  1. you are supposed to feel bad or miss your collegue when they resign but these MMD creatures seem to be rejoicing. not matter how ignorant the man was, he made a contribution and his absence should be felt.

  2. Thanx to the Monkey we have now lost our defence minister. The same monkeys tried to do the same on our president. What is wrong with these monkeys?

  3. I have my suspicions Pornstar is the Monkey taking our leadership out…..did you observe that ana tundila kateka when he started the pornography issue….

  4. # 8 RB deserves to be peed on by a monkey and any MMD leader monkeying around will be monkeyed to resignation.

  5. I will not be surprised if Mpombo is reappointed as Lusak minister, lol! Dr Kalombo Mwansa was strategically placed in the ministry of home affairs considering that his PHD is in criminology, i wonder how that relates to the defence ministry…Anyway, good luck to him.

  6. ‘Breaking news’

Now Patriotic Front leader, Michael Sata to contest 2011 elections

Patriotic Front (PF) leader, Michael Sata, has said that he would contest the republican presidency in the 2011 as presidential elections despite people’s suggestions that he was old and needed to groom a younger person to serve under.

Mr Sata has called on people in Luapula to register in numbers during the voter registration exercise in preparation for the 2011 presidential and general elections. He has revealed that the ruling MMD is in overdrive registration of voters country wide when we are busy in papers.

  7. Repeating his statements he recently made during a rally at Senama grounds in Mansa yesterday, Mr Sata said that electorates should choose leaders who have the interest of the people at heart and not leaders whose main interest was money and power.

Mr Sata said that the former republican president, Dr Fredrick Chiluba, groomed the late president Levy Mwanawasa, who, when he assumed office, pressed charges against the former president.

Mr Sata, who was accompanied by Chimwemwe MP, Willie Nsanda, Chililabombwe MP Ester Banda and other senior officials from the Copperbelt, was also endorsed by the Luapula PF leadership to contest as president during the PF national convention.

  8. Mr Sata noted that some of the young people whom he was looking forward to groom had disappointed him because they were of divided loyalty and more interested in money, democracy and not what the PF stood for.

He charged that the rebel MPs from Luapula were interested in putting money in their pockets, intellectually challenging him taking advantage of his humble education and alleged that they did not care about the non availability of medicine in hospitals, low salaries of public service workers, PF coming to power at all costs and the suffering of people in rural areas.

  9. Mr Sata referred to the PF rebel Members of Parliament as greedy and selfish leaders who allegedly did not represent the people who voted them into power.
The PF leader said that the rebel MPs were not rebels to him (Sata) but the people who voted for them as their representatives.I do not expect any challenge because i founded PF myself, said the populist veteran politician.

He alleged that the rebel MPs were asked to campaign for President Rupiah Banda their fellow elitist intellectual against his humble leadership who promised them jobs in government but that they were later disappointed because President Banda had his own loyalists everywhere he is busy employing and offering scholarships to.

  10. He further said that in the forth coming 2011 presidential and general elections, the PF would give chance to its members to nominate MPs that would represent the party’s manifesto.

Mr Sata said that the reason for his recent national tour including Luapula a few weeks ago was to thank the people in the province for having voted for PF in the 2008 presidential by-elections and debunk MMD growing infiltration schemes worrying him.Mr.Sata has since refused to comment on the future of the PF-UPND pact with Hakainde Hichilema.

Sata recently went into a political pact with HH with objective of dislodging MMD.Together they have nominated a joint ticket candidate in Chitambo constituency resulting in the entire selenje District PF leadership resigning from the party to the shock of the…

  11. Out of 177 listed countries, find below is Zambia’s cure Human Development Index and its trend since 1970:
    HDI rank 1975 1980 1985 1990 1995 2000 2005
    165 Zam 0.470 0.478 0.489 0.477 0.439 0.420 0.434

Clearly, Zambia made progress from 1975 to 1985 under the UNIP GRZ. Sadly, ever since the MMD took over power in 1991 to data we moved to worse by 2000 but late President Mwanawasa LP and Magande improved on former President Chiluba FTJ’s failures a bit.

I am yet to notice how President RB Banda’s performance will be in 2010 though there will be indicators this year I believe from the UN.

Interesting is that troubled Zimbabwe is ranked number 151 far better than Zambia. With this, what has gone wrong with us Zambians?

MMD MPs why can you all resign?

  12. As for the news “The president has also accepted Mr. Mpombo’s resignation from the MMD National Executive Committee“, did President RB Banda any other choice?

Following “President Banda has also appointed Lusaka Province Minister, Lameck Mangani as Home affairs Minister to replace Dr. Mwansa“, it appears like brothers and sisters from the Eastern Part of Zambia are in for many GRZ appointed by the President jobs, but let us wait and see who will be appointed Lusaka Province Minister.

Anyhow, I wish MP Mpombo, Ministers Mwansa and Mangani all the best in their future endeavours following someone’s insansa kuchinjana (exchanging positions old adage).

    Have a nice day all.

  13. This is R*U*B*B*I*S*. I wish this *F*U*C*K*E*R* will be dead before 2011. Come on mother nature, do not let us down. Take him already.

  14. # 20 Cat 345D Hydraulic Excavator,

For your useless hatred, be informed that your mother, sisters any woman to risk with you will from now on be hit with ovarian cancer, they will start leaking and die fast in shame.Yourself will take the prostrate cancer that will wear you off into streets.

  15. #21, Leave #20 alone, if you heard what happened in Livingstone this week regarding Banda’s damaged health, you will realise he will be absent come 2011. Ichishinka chacine chila fulwasha ku mutima but your man is campaigning for nothing but a state funeral!

  16. ShakaZulu Ka Sezangankona,

Ati mbwanji malilo ya VJ Mwaanga you announced here that he had collapsed dead in China????? It looks like OOP picked it up and tabled it on VJ’s desk in China attributing it to you a China based Zaza. Are you any safe?

  17. #22
Made my morning.Wonder were MMD members gather their pride.Always busy going to other nations adoring what other countries have. When it comes to the funds them donors entrusts Zambia cos of it´s track record of peace, they funds end up in their bellies.Mabenga among others could be the best examples.Mp´s in developed countries won´t concetrate on enlarging their bellies……….never…but pa Zed it´s fashion…big tym

  18. Never been so embarrased to be called a Zambian in my life! Monkeylike leadership that cant see beyond their massive noses, that cant read the mood in the country that people are really pissed off, that cant keep quiet for even a day to concentrate on developmental issues, that keeps yapping meaningless praises for each other for doing nothing, whose IQs are 6, cant reason on anything, are old fools whose many years on earth has added little to their wisdom but wrinkles, who can’t even think logically….and who takes zambians for fools, maybe you are….for expecting these kind of people to develop your country. Shame on you, all of you! You all are a lost cause!!!

  19. LT, enough of Mpombo already!!! He has resigned and gone to his farm to lima kandolo. As for the reasons, we will wait. Teta says there was corruption in the ministry of Defence. Thats why he left. Let them tell us, otherwise nalema na nkhani ya Mpombo (but this name, awe sure)

  20. We tried in vain to develop your country…but no! You had to be independent, you thought we were racist but we knew all too well what you are capable of. Nothing!!! Come 2015, you will not even meet the MDGs. Look at your health and education sectors!!! Going nowhere slowly, and you are a contry boasting 45 years of independence!!! What a shame!!! Look at your friends in singapore, Hong Kong, etc. Africa never seizes to amaze me.

  21. These men in MMD are fun characters there is no nid to celebrate when a seating MP like Mpombo resigns from his Cabinet & NEC positions for whatever reason. He has got many voters in Kafulafuta and a lot of influence in Copperbelt rural. In politics numbers matter a lot. So Teta Mulomo is suggesting that GM resigned coz he got his fingers soiled by corruption at MOD and did it before his Boss could remove him. We will wait for the truth to come out at later stage otherwise the likes of Teta, Mike and Mabenga are not building the party but dividing it. The chaps think they are more MMD than others.

  22. Instead of ranting 24/7 for a change, Why don’t you start your own young generation youth party of the so-called intellectuals right here then shift on the ground to prove the measure and distance of your delusions? Those people are making money, sending their kids and loyalists to better schools oversease who later come to reign over you who have overspent your lives blogging rubbish for zero retain. This nonsense here does not bring you money or a future in your hands.Talk is cheap but action.Start your own parties so that we can learn from your rhetoric.Your poor parents, kids and wives will not build their future on blogging immaterial rhetoric.

  23. # 22. ShakaZulu Ka Sezangankona. Welcome back man! Good to know you’re well and kicking. Keep blogging.

  24. #. 31. Ba Joze. Good point. Not all of us aspire to be politicians though. As Zambians we have a duty to ensure that people who go into leadership are accountable to the core values of developing our country and the entire citizenry. Blogging is such a forum that gives gives us an opportunity to share the vision that we all aspire our country to transcend to. Nay, this is no empty rhetoric, rather it is a positive contribution though from the sidelines. Keep blogging.

  25. katiki mpombo has a rteason for resigning..this chap teta has a big problem,he says mpombo resigned becoz of currupt practises in min.defence..why wasnt he reported by the same chap teta to ACC,why wait for him ot resign,he should have acted the moment they found out about the corrupt practises..teta is just practising cheap poitic..shame on him!!! all the best mpombo, now that u out of the stinking system, ulula!!

  26. BaJoze….another lost cause. As long as someone makes money, it doesn’t matter how they made it. If someone makes money by verbal diarhoea like teta..its fine as long as he makes money! Typical african mind….That’s why Z is one of the most corrupt nations in the world.

  27. Kashimani #33, For your information Edith Nawakwi recently stated that RB is perfecting the Umodzi ku Mawa (Oneness in the East) concept. If you are old enough you will remember that he is the same man who coined the slogan “Wako ni wako”. Sata also has been telling Zambians that RB is a tribalist but unfortunately few believe him. Sata is being vindicated by RB’s actions. Tribalism is dirty.

  28. Hats off to Mpombo for doing what most African politicians fail to do. In a situation where you can agree with your other team members, the best is`to leave the team. This is maturity unlike those who attact the team while they are still part of it. By the way, GM claimed that Late LPM handed over to him before he left for Egypt. So he was more VIP than Teta. Therefore he deserves respect especially from “Rabbied Dogs” in MMD.

  29. Good RB for respecting Mpombo’s stance. Hope Mabenga and Teta will emulate you. It’s surprising to hear Mabenga on 17hrs news yesterday that Mpombo had no impact on the party. Shame ba Michael.

  30. I now conclude that in evert-y tribe, there is an element of tribalists. Lets not blame the Tongas and Lozis

  31. That iz az it shud be; accept hiz rezignation, wish him well, make a replacement and move on. Good mudala RB, but your silence on some of hiz inner colleaguez’ utterancez iz often worrying. Why not caution them while reminding them of the best/right way to issue statements?

  32. Rupiah Banda is a hard core UNIP carder. His style and policies tell it all. And it is the beginning of the end for the MMD.

  33. It is suprising that RB did not appoint a replacement for Dora for the period she had resigned but it has taken him just a day to replace Mpombo.

  34. That is the way things are done in Zambia. Viva GM. Its always wise to resign if you dont agree with the majority. So let Teta and the likes of Mabenga, Mike Mo continue with their rotten system of governance of mud sligging. Be reminded that nature is great and has its own way of dealing with situations. Bintu bi kinga mwisho. There is just too much bootlicking in MMD circles. These are the things we fought against and now we are bringing them back fast using all means available. Democray is being killed. PF no convention, UPND HH highjacked the system. Its toatl madness all over. Let us be vigilant and save democracy from extinction once gone it will take a long time to revive it.

  35. People, insults don’t lead you nowere. just table issues without insults..by the way do you know that you are leaders? cause leadership begins with you and in your hearts.

  36. Mr Rupiah Banda has accepted Mr Mpombo’s resignation and wished him well for the future, on the other hand Mr Tetamashimba has alleged that there is corruption in the Ministry Of Defence and has challenged the president to tell the truth about the resignation of Mr Mpombo. So Mr president one of your top bootlicker has challenged you and the ball is now in your court . TELL the nation the TRUTH.
