Take a Step of Faith

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

“…And as they went, they were cured and made clean”
(Luke 17:14, AMP)

TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria

One time in the Scripture, there were ten lepers who saw Jesus coming through the city. They hollered out, “Jesus! Have mercy on us and make us whole!” Jesus could have healed them right then, but instead, He asked them to do something to express their faith. He said, “Go show yourself to the Priest, and you will be made whole.”

It’s interesting that those lepers were not supposed to be around other people. They had to live in colonies by themselves because they were very contagious and considered unclean. I’m sure they debated among themselves, “Do you really think we should go? I don’t look any better. My skin is not clear. It’s just going to be a waste of my time.” But they dared to put action behind their faith. They decided, “Jesus said if we go, we will be well. Let’s go. Let’s take a step of faith.” The Scripture says, “As they went, they were made whole.”

Friend, what is God telling you to do in your heart today? Take a step of faith. Put action behind what you are believing for. God is faithful. As you step out and show that your faith is in Him, it will open the door for His miracle-working power to flow in every area of your life!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

“Heavenly Father, I choose to trust in You. I choose to be obedient to You. Even when it doesn’t make sense to my natural mind, I am going to continue to walk by faith. I love You and bless You today. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

  1. The message is very inspiring especially on a sunday like this one.As a rider to the message above: “Just because we can not see God does not mean he is not there ,for we walk by FAITH not by sight”

  2. All that we know is to preach, preach and preach the so called gospel every sunday when our copper is being externalised by the heartless investor. What not preach against ills of unprecedented high levels of unemployment, digusting levels corruption, injustice, political and governance emptiness. Why is the Zambian clergy not at the helm to speak against such?
Millions of the Zambians are living in abject poverty and can not even afford two meals a day, Alas we continue standing on street corners proclaiming Jesus loves u, Zambia is a Christian nation and many such.

  3. #4 Tonga Steel your comments are very subjective and outrageous, are you a pagan?

Well, if you are a non believer then i advise you to shut your gob! Mind you,it’s not good to involve and discuss politics in religious matters.

  4. Tonga steel # 4 please learn to be considerate sometimes and try to put politics aside. Remember no matter how much people talk about these political vices only God has the power to change and improve our lively hoods. Thats why we ought to praise him all the times and allow his will to rule over us. Nice message though and thanks LT

  5. #4 tonga steel wansekesha! What do you have against the good news.Jesus Loves you ba Tonga steel.Every day on LT we talk about injustices happening in Zambia. At least once in a while we should look up above to the One who promised us victory. Whatever you focus on expands,if all you focus on are problems they will expand, focus on God and His promises and you will see a change in your attitude and circumstances.Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react. Good luck ba Tonga Steel I wish you happiness and peace.

  6. #5 shimu chita panono,
Christian hypocrites like you would have courage to call others pagans, non belivers, would not accommodate divergent views, would see subjectivity where objectivity exists, would refer to someones mouth with an offensive slang word such as gob.

Anyway it is not my fault that you are of such low aptitude to know that there is a correlation between religion and development.

By the way are you aware that you have no right whatsoever to tell me to keep quiet? In my country Zambia, CAP 1, Sec 3 grants me the liberty of expression.

shimu chita panono you are disgustlngly ignorant. I would stand on the roof top and resound this shimu chita panono u are ignorant

  7. Maybe the reason our clergy do not preach on the need for development is because they do not feel a personal need. Are you aware that most of the pentecostal preachermen and women live above average lives even when the flock they are ministering are struggling to survive?
I think there is nothing wrong with men and women of God preaching against these investors who have come to milk our land dry. After all, if the congregants cannot afford to keep body and soul together, where will they get the offering to give to their churches. Are you not aware that people give from their surpluses?

  8. #7 Tonga Steel, you are just too stuck up and i guess this saying applies to you “If the only tool you have is the hammer, everything else looks like a nail” Meaning, you are one of those people who can not see the difference between a goat and a sheep;a spade and a shovel.Well, i will not say much because you have already given me the impression that you are cocky and deluded! Have blessed day,God loves you!

  9. #9 shimu chita panono,

I am not short of blessing to receive from you. Remember it is the same mouth of yours that that is insulting through the usage of words like cocky, gob… the same mouth should bless me what a paradox. Anyway its suprising, as christian hypocrites have the capacity to call others as cocky and deluded.

I would have appreciated if you told me what was wrong with my opinion at #4 than to react the way you did at #5.

  10. #8 Lusaka,

I like and respect your pattern of thought. Indeed there is need for the clergy to speak against ills that have rocked our beloved mother Zambia.

Would you imagine that Rev. Ronnie Shikapwasha afforded to say … “if the nurses what their pay let them go and wake up those that died as a result of strike…

  11. Christians love to call people pagans but when you remind them of Christmas(saturnalia) or easter(eastre/ishtar) pagan holidays they have christianized , they will go mad screaming that you have demons for reminding them of the truth. Even the day they meet to worship is pagan and unbiblical SUN-day. Christianity is the biggest pagan religion on this planet that has nothing to even do with the new testament or old testament which had a jewish messiah that taught jewish law(torah)

  12. Lusaka there was a time when becoming a pastor was an easy option to having a good life. In the early 90s, people who did not do well at GCSEs were ending up at Theological colleges. The fact that we respect God so much meant even people with PHDs kneeling before these grade 12 drop outs. I got fed up with our pastor preaching about tything all the time.

  13. nice message…..many of us pa zed really need to tek that step other than just complaining that there ar no jobs. start something small and by faith – u never know how big that might become…..

  14. Witout faith it is not possible to please God,but again faith with no action is not faith at all,so the equation has to balance.

  15. Shalom fellow bloggers,
We must learn to differentiate between matters pertaining to the flesh and those pertaining to the spirit. Failure to do so will result in the dilemma we see in comments 8 – 13.
The Scripture is very clear when it says: ” The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit, for they are foolishness unto him, neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.” 1 Corinthians 2: 14+15.

  16. LT continue giving us these messages of goodwill and hope, it is thru this blog other souls will be saved thanks LT. and for those who are calling each other names let God Jehovah alone be the judge.

  17. Faith + Action = Results
Faith put to work produces results
Simple equation, how i wish we follow that
    GOD HELP MY UNBELIEF!
