Share

Herve Renard has recalled for Andrew Sinkala and also handed a debut senior call-up to Finland-based midfielder Chanda Mwaba for Zambia’s August 12 international friendly against Ghana in London.

The match will be played next Wednesday in the London East-end at Brisbane Road Stadium.

Sinkala of 2.Bundesliga club Augsburg returns to the fold after a two-year hiatus.

Meanwhile, Renard has handed Mwaba a chance to impress ahead as he looks for options for the suspended midfielder Rainford Kalaba of Sporting Braga in Portugal ahead of Zambia’s 2010 World/Africa Cup Group C qualifier against Algeria away in Algiers on September 6.

The 21-year-old Kitwe-born player and former Afrisports and Power Dynamos midfielder is the only new face in the team.

Mwaba was previously capped at Under-23 level by Peter Kaumba in 2006 during the teams 2007 All-Africa Games football tournament qualifiers before joining RoPS three years ago.

The midfielder is son of former Mutondo Stars player Fabiano Mwaba.

  1. WE REALLY HAVE A SAD LINE UP. WHY IS IT THAT OUR PLAYERS HAVE CONTINUE TO LANGUISH LOWER LEAGUES LIKE FINLAND, CHINA, SOUTH AFRICA, ARMENIA, ISREAL, ETC. IT IS BETTER TO PLAYER FOR EVEN A NON CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM HERE IN UXBRIDGE UNITED NEAR MY HOUSE, AND EXPOSE YOUR SELF TO BRITISH SCOUTS THAN GOING TO WASTE SKILLS IN ARMENIA. WE ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE IN WORLD CUP. I ALWAYS ENVY WEST AFRICAN PLAYERS AND CITIZENS. ZAMBIA NSHIMA BOYS…I WONT EVEN GO TO EAST LANDON TO WATCH THEM…FOR WHAT?

  2. Bacikamba aba, I remember one time he was demanding for US$ 5,000 before he could wear a Zambia jersey and that march if I am not mistaken was against Angola when Kalusha missed a penalty, that money was not forth coming and vowed never to play for Zambia. Now that he is finished he running like headless chicken pleading with Renard so could be included in the team. Lets do with our respectful guys than calling these prodigal sons.

  3. Being a poor country is realy sad. Nothing seems to work apart from RBs jet which is flying him around africa weekly.

  4. I CANT AGREE MORE TO #8. WHT KIND OF PREZ FLIES AROUND SO FREQUENTLY//

ONLY IN ZAMBIA CAN A HEAD OF STATE BE AIRBONE EVERY OTHERDAY. ITS COSTLY, RISKY AND THE PUNK CARRIES A POSE OF CADRES AND SECRET SERVICE AND CREW AND ASSISTANTS AND RELATIVES AND FRIENDS ALL AT THE EXPENSE OF THE POOR ZAMBIANS! ITS BUSINESS AS USUAL.

  5. Welcome back Andrew, lets learn to sacrifice for our country. If we all want to benefit for any contribution we make, then we are not taking our country anywhere. Politicians have excepted themselves from sacrifacing they even travel even when not invited, but days are number one day our rilatives in villages wont vote for them and we teach them to sacriface for zambuia

  6. Justice Kafusha # 11 and 12
Are you related to kafusha the former Nkana prayer or you the same kafusha am asking about?

  7. Emmanuel Mbola (Pyunik Yerevan, Armenia) – KOMA GUYS, WHAT IS THIS? PLAYING FOR A TEAM THAT IS ALMOST AN INSULT? PONYO WHATI? AWEH MWE, CHINA? BA ‘UNATTACHED’ WHICH TEAM IS THIS AND WHO IS THEIR MANAGER? HAHAHA…ARMENIA? EVEN IF ITS WANTING TO PLAY FOOTBALL, AWEEEEEH!!!!
