Chief Singani demands apology from Chief Nalubamba

Share

CHIEF Singani of Choma district has demanded that Chief Nalubamba must apologise to his fellow chiefs in Southern Province for issuing a misleading statement that President Banda has fallen out of their favour.

Chief Singani was reacting to a statement, attributed to Chief Nalubamba of
Namwala, in one of the local tabloids quoting him has having said that President Rupiah Banda had fallen out of favour of Southern Province chiefs.

Chief Singani said that his chiefdom had benefited tremendously from government support in infrastructural development and other social services.

Speaking in Choma today when he called on district administrative officer Vincent Sikanyela, Chief Singani said he will always remain grateful to the MMD government for the various developmental initiatives which have improved the socio-economic status of his subjects.

He said the MMD government will go down in history as having provided electricity, schools and other developmental projects to his chiefdom.

Chief Singani said for the first time, his chiefdom will have a modern high school, which is currently under construction.

He said it would therefore not be right for some traditional leaders to unfairly criticize the Rupiah Banda led government which is doing everything possible to meet the developmental challenges of the country especially the rural populace.

ZANIS.

  1. Following CHIEF Singani of Choma district has demanded that Chief Nalubamba must apologise to his fellow chiefs in Southern Province for issuing a misleading statement that President Banda has fallen out of their favour, this is good and I hope each chief in the mighty Southern Province will issue a statement so that we can tally the results.

Funny enough, Choma chiefs appear to be under the influence of chief Mukuni of the Toka Leya people although he came from Congo as he has asked GRZ to split Southern province from Choma to Livingstone to be under him.

If 49% shares are sold and GRZ remains with 51% shares, GRZ will monitor activities.

  2. I have known Chief Bright Nalubamba for years as an illogical political vagabond devoid of principles and national unity spirit. At no time has he espoused a character of the Zambian spirit of one Zambia one nation. He is an anti unity, anti peace and anti Zambia illogical dialectic political cadre. The good news is that his role at any level is inconsequential to the outcome.

  3. #3. Bolingo …no no.. the chief has the right to exonarate himself. There are so many imposters who says they speak on behalf of others while there hasn’t been any consultation b4 issuring statements.. Remember how the womens lob ended up apologazing in Kabwela case. After the majority of the Zam Women distanced themselve from her delogative remarks.

  4. Chief Nalubamba did not say that he was representing his fellow chiefs in southern province. What he said was his own oppinion and he is 100% right. This man Bwezani has imbressed a thief Chiluba coz he is also busy stealing, even his wife is still stealing from the Govt and has not refuted these claims that his wife is still drawing a salary despite stopping work more than two years ago. Nalubamba was simply expressing his opinion and i suport his views.

  5. #7 and all others insisting Chief Nalubamba was speaking in a a presonal capacity, please read the story in the Post for Saturday. This ‘personal opinion’ issue came the next day. The title is:

Rupiah loses support of S/Province chiefs

  6. listen you dickheads who have burried your heads in sand and think you will derail some people’s allegiance to RB bysarcasm and hate on the blog.independent opinion is very difficuilt to convert because it borders on individual convictions.just as it is difficuilt to convince a callboy at intercity that even if sata became president tonight as long as you dont work hard and fend for yourself nothing will change .equally you need more than propaganda to make people like chief macha and singani to realise that rupiah has put us in a reverse gear similar to what his new found confidant chiluba had put us in because of the little they have benefited.moreeven bright nalubamba is more like a lumpen chiefs who doesn’t even command respect among his subjects.
    Coontinued.

  7. LT,moderate but am being factual.people like MAESTRO hail from musanza under chief mapanza, but he has no knowledge that chief mapanza if he is still maurice katowa has a mild relationship with bright nalubamba.so a campaign against rupiah to chiefs like macha and singani should be interlectualy backed and devoid of cheap propaganda as these chiefs do not only have an education backgroud but command respect amongst their subjects.even if they have anything against RB they can not side with nalubamba. So even as maestro blindly calls for a poll among southern province chiefs.the majority will go for rupiah not out of principal but because of nalubamba’s-approach.

  8. #4 Senior citizen “The good news is that his role at any level is inconsequential to the outcome”. Thank you for the conclusion, you have made my day.

  9. Ama chief ku zambia bale kwata ko pride. If you see that the government is doing the wrong thing, be a man and say it. Chief Nalubamba has smelt a rat and I applaude him for doing what he did.

  10. Chief Nalubamba is one of the very few Zambian chiefs who can speak their mind. They call a spade a spade and not a big spoon. Which sensible person in Zambia today can state that things are going well in the country? May be only lunatics can applaud the current MMD government. Whether on not Chief Nalubamba was wrong to speak on behalf of fellow chiefs is nothing to write home about. The fact remains that Zambia has been turned into a Banana Republic by the current MMD team.

  11. Chief Singani is just one of those *****ic and miopic chiefs who like bootlick to please the powers that be ! For starters, why all of a sudden he made a call on choma DAO? To go and collect the KAKI envelope? Development my foot!!
