hmmm ba RB paliba ka strategy! After securing Chiluba’s freedom now is launching a new anti-graft policy??
Talking doesnt mean any thing at all;; let me advise you MR PRESIDENT you first remove all your corrupt friends whom you have brought into government ;; as long as you think that your corrupt friends are the best to to ran the country nothing will happen . you are just wasting time and we all know it we are not children to take for a ride
There is already the Anti-corruption commission which should be strengthened instead of comming up with useless policies/strategies.
Do you also just want to leave a “legacy”?
This President thinks that all Zambians are f00ls and cannot see through his lies.
What a f********kin joke. All of you half baked Politician curse yourselves and die
There is need for legislation to protect “whistle blowers” if the fight against corruption has to be won.
The Official Secrets Act will still be a hinderance to the fight against corruption as “whistle blowers” are not protected.

EXCERPTED FROM THE MWANAWASA DIAIRIES
-PRESIDENT Levy Mwanawasa yesterday revealed that he was not impressed with the Task Force’s failure to secure any conviction out of the corruption cases presented before the courts of law.
-President Mwanawasa said it was shameful that his slogan of “governance under the new deal administration will be by law rather than men” had become a mere joke due to his government’s failure to record positive results in its crusade against corruption.
-President Mwanawasa further directed Nkole to read his letter of guidance to the Task Force, which he said contained directives on its operations.
-“I am disappointed that my guidance has been ignored with contempt,” he said.
-He asked Nkole to avoid working in isolation while serving as executive chairman of the Task Force.President Mwanawasa told Nkole that the Task Force comprised all heads of the security agencies.”I want all these security agencies to meet once every after two weeks under your chairmanship,” he directed Nkole.
-”President Mwanawasa reminded Nkole that the Task Force operated under the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) during prosecution of the cases”.
-”The DPP enjoys the discretion of deciding whether to proceed with the prosecution or not,” he said.
-President Mwanawasa said the public and taxpayers were anxious to see results coming out of the anti-corruption crusade.
“President Mwanawasa reminded Nkole that the Task Force operated under the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) during prosecution of the cases.”The DPP enjoys the discretion of deciding whether to proceed with the prosecution or not,” he said end Quote

Naiwe nausambilila, keep it up.
Rupiah—the Septuagenarian— is just trying to pull wool over our eyes. All these old-aged politicians, most of whom must really have long been sent into pension by now, don’t care about the future of this country, as long as they are no longer there, when it’s time for them to go. If he cared so much about corruption in Zambia, there would be no way he’d associate with himself with acquitted thieves like Chiluba. My estimation is that someone who can associate himself suspiciously like that has already abused office KNOWINGLY by now. These guys don’t care! Typically, his being an old man thinks he’s too clever. But being that also makes him know that he’s dabbling with danger in doing what he’s doing! That’s why this “graft policy”, even if there are enough…
… That’s why this “graft policy”, even if there are enough proclamations already. Laws are not just white elephants but have to be applied! But maybe we Zambians will really be so stupid as to accept being duped till 2011, if the current reverse-course continues.

… I wanted to say his being an old man makes him think he’s too clever … (typo)
Kambafwile says ‘nefipuba filopa abanakashi’. LPM, why did you work up this amn to be yyour veep? You had a lot of good people like Magande, Musokotwane, Willa Mungomba, Kalombo mwansa, etc. Why didn’t you make one these veeps? We would not be in this mess. Levy, may your soul rest in peace. Zambia and England shall never forget you. Well disciplned African leader as straight as a jacket and that is what has been lacking in African development. The retired old man you left for us has simply goot no clue about leadership.
Dirge to the people of Zambia. As the drama unfolds all virturous citizens will mourn while villians will celebrate, this is their earth. To enjoy enjoy and enjoy, innocent people will be shambocked for telling the truth eg a young man was heavily canned for not confessing that he was the father of his father! Indeed, Senior citizen you are enjoying, you were not seen until recently, who smoked you from your hole?.
ha ha————ha ——————- who is he kidding after he let kaf upi free
I hear Lifuka turned down the GRZ invite to attend the launch….thats no surprise, the man knows too well the consequence of attending such high profile GRZ functions minus Mmembe’s EXPRESS approval. The man has turned TIZ into some small political wing of the mafia in Zambia…have some balls Rueben,….anyway must be some HUGE skeleton u have in your closet for being so LOYAL to Mmembe.
# 19 what are you on about mate?
IMWE BENA ZAMBIA, WHERE IS TETA? IFWE TWANAKA LOOKING FOR HIM IN SOUTH AFRICAN HOSPITALS, WE WANT TO PAY HIM A VIST BUT WE JUST CANT FINF HIM. BUSHE IS HE OUT OR WHAT IS THE STORY
How can a President who condones corruption have a policy against it?? That is big joke!!! ‘Kanitundila’ RB thinks Zambians are fools to be toyed about just like his best friend Titus Mpundu ‘Chiluba’ thinks.
#19. What r u saying. I could not go to the launch by choice either. On principle. We have already seen that this govt of urs does not care. With policies or not. Policies do not necessarilly turn into reality if there is no virtual commitment.
“And Head of the British Department for International Development DFID, Mike Hammond, praised the Zambian government for formulating the national anti corruption policy. Mr. Hammond said the British government is ready to support Zambia in the implementing of the policy.”
Britain has a hand in everything. Can someone point ou to me where in the world has Britain succeeded in bettering people’s lives? Sierra Leone, Iraq, Afghanistan, in recent times and going back into the past, Palestine, Maori in New Zealand, South Africa, Rhodesia, Aborigines in Australia, Indo-Pakistan (India & Pakistan) and further back still, Native Americans etc. Every trouble hot spot in the world today, britain has a hand in it.
This is a joke, right ?
I wonder why RB is so SCARED of beieng prosecuted after leaving presidency!
He forgot to say the policy only applies to the poor and not the rich or top GRZ officials and state house monkeys
RB is a joker. He is trying to take things for granted . if he is really committed to the fight against graft ,he should have allowed the appeal against chiluba’s aquittal to proceed . This man will regret ever been president after leaving office .
Rubbish! Senior citizen pliz spare us your street wisdom. You know that your Bwezani is an embarassment to any same human being
I MEANT SANE HUMAN BEING
We at the mercy of NAZI BRUTES. They make laws which they dont use. What is the point of cooking nshima which you only end up throwing pa chishala. Its better to change the country from A CHRISTIAN NATION TO DEVIL ISLAND. People have given up all hope thats why some us have taken MMD cadreship full time.
Zambino palibe baba .
Blame the monkey that peed on RB for FTJs acquittal…
In the UK, the DPP refused to prosecute corruption and fraud at British Aerospace in connection with a Saudi Arabian deal. It was not in national interest. recently the serious fraud office has also decided not to prosecute in MG Rover case. The numerous cases of Britons undergoing assisted suicide abroad are not prosecuted. DPPs are independent. If the DPP in Zambia, has made the decision not to appeal Chiluba’s case purely on legal grounds, it would be understandable. Dora was found guilty by the Tribunal but acquited on appeal. But what of the Chansa Kabwela’s case? Was there any merit in prosecuting that case? If this was political, then Mchenga MUST resign or be referred to a Tribunal!

I think we need to be careful with our emotions. Britain has positively contributed a lot to Zambia. Yes there are also a lot of bad contributions.
Look at the infrastructure we have in Zambia. Quite a lot of it was put in place by the British during Colonial days. We are still using them.
Colonialism and empire building was the in thing at the time. If Zambia was powerful then, no doubt it would have colonised a few nations too. Let us understand the times and see things in the eyes of those times. Which foreign nation would you rather deal with. Try Iran, China, Japan, Germany and see what you get from them.
In any case, look at our own governments and what they do for Zambia. Lets be honest.
The fight against corruption is corrupt in this govt. “Rubberly” face should instead try the fight against poverty.
This is just about legacy. Well it will be a useless legacy. Why not strengthen or just restructure what we already have??.
This guy is a joker,is he tyring to blindfold us. Always doing the monkey business all the time. Time will tell. Come 2011, umo akanya shiki.
Senior Citizen, you do not gain any mileage by beating the dead, you must be ashamed of what the ***** is doing to this nation and all that you aspire for, unless ofcourse you are Teta, Kamalondo and Nsuluka incarnate
Ba LT, how many times has that word being used on the sight and I have not even mentioned anyone by name
ba ke shiba absence makes the heart grow fonder ukebukisha ne chalengele iwe ukuba pa chalo
