Chizyuka cannot break PF-UPND pact

Share

THE UPND/PF pact says attempts by suspended UPND Namwala MP Robby Chizyuka to break the pact will not yield any positive result because he has no capacity to do so.

In an interview in Lusaka yesterday, co-spokesperson of the pact Charles Kakoma said Major Chizyuka has no capacity to break the pact.

Mr Kakoma said Maj. Chizyuka’s attempt is in vain and that ‘the revolutionary wing of the pact will sweep him away’.

He said if Mr Maj. Chizyuka wants to test the ability of the pact, he should resign, adding that he won’t be able to retain his parliamentary seat.

“If he wants to test his ability, let him resign from the party and go and test the people of Namwala because, I can assure him, he will lose should he attempt to re-contest the seat,” he said.[quote]

Mr Kakoma said the disciplinary committee will meet this Wednesday to determine Maj. Chizyuka’s fate.

“Major Chizyuka has not even responded to the charges levelled against him, so the disciplinary committee will be meeting to determine his case and, whatever his fate, he will be informed,” Mr Kakoma said.

Maj. Chizyuka on Saturday vowed to ensure that the pact between his party and the PF is broken because it does not represent the wishes of the majority in the party.

He was suspended from the party a week ago for allegedly inciting some party members to oppose the pact.

Maj. Chizyuka said he will not relent in speaking out against the pact until it is abandoned.

He said no threat of expulsion would force him to resign from the UPND because he loves the party and has spent a lot to ensure that it got to its current status.

  1. Certainly not that fly,if he is popular as he claims to be let him resign and join Kanitundila and see how he will be whitewashed. The chap has beef with all the chiefs in Namwala over the Mbeza irrigation scheme and the matter is in court

  2. Charles Kakoma is a headless chicken full of hot air over thinks he has no clue of its destiny.UPND is being destroyed into an empty shell of a party yet he is fighting a patriotic Major Robby Chizyuka defending the virtues of UPND.For Chizyuka to resign, it will be forfeiting UPND to weakened soils selling it into oblivion. If Kakoma want to test the strength of his PACT let him resign and offer his Zambezi seat as a testing ground.Chizyuka to resign will be betraying the spirit of Anderson Mazoka who declared that Sata is a subnormal thug he could not par with.

  3. The pact is by its nature a week and undefined entity.
The Pact only exists in the minds of people with no clear definition. It it was in academics we would call it a test or experiment, whose results would determine whether we come up with a theorem or not.
The agenda of the pact has the highest political volatility Zambia has ever seen.
The pact is the most dangerous path for the opposition. In fact it will be destroyed by the opposition itself because instead of being an opposition to the MMD government, they will turn out to be an opposition to themselves.

No one will Kill the pact, because it was born already dead. And if anyone will try the kill it will not succeed because how on earth can one kill something already dead?

  4. Robbie is a typical tribalist , let me remind all those who think being popular in a few provinces will take someone to state house, that is impossible .Please just analyis this , you need all the provinces, for example SATA need HH to win the 2011 election and or HH need SATA to go to state house.

  5. underestimate me at your own peril . . . .We have already engaged into gear 2……Haka sata is dead in Namwala. People of Namwala are not fools like those funking tribalists of Kasama

  6. No wonder there is no meaningfull development in the Illa land because of your foolishness like your maj, wakeup move with the rest of your friends to remove the sitting government.

  7. OBSERVER- Obviously you are trying to ensure that the PACT does not work and the MMD wins 2011 elections. One can only complain if eithe UPND or PF is given a raw deal. But right now no one knows the plans of the PACT which is a good tact. If the plans are known people like you will ensure these are destroyed. PF knows MMD tacts thats why they dont have membership cards lest these are used to claim that so many have defected to MMD. Just wait for the day when the two parties will be ready to inform the nation on the details of their PACT.

  8. Let us be careful with these journalists reporting. All Chizyuka is saying here is sort out the differences now, its not about popularity. Th eloger we delay, the more likely the wishes of those agains this pact will come to pass. Suspensions and continous public squabbles will not get the pact anywhere, could our leaders tsop playing to the public and settle these childish squabbles at once.

  9. Chizyuaka has a 18th century hatred against the Bembas. While civilization has taken ccentre stage among the younger generation as we are now marring from any tribe because we are one people, Chizyuka wants to take us back to 18 century when tribes were fighting each other. Let Chizyuka realize that gone are the times of Kingdoms..Tonga kindom, Bemba kingdom, Lozi Kingdom etc. People from different tribes, races etc are now working together for common good, love, unity and purpose. NO YOUNG GENERATION THINKS LIKE THE OL FOLK. I urge you to esign so that the PACT gets the seat. Chizyuka grow man, you are not in the 18 century.

  10. Politicians never fail to amaze me.Now Chizyuka wants to “decampaign” his former hero HH just like Mumbi is trying to do to Sata. It is time parties strengthened intraparty democracy ,dialogue and tolerance to put an end to such nosense. It is even worse in MMD now with the UNIP trained RB.

  11. what is amazing about us bloggers is how quick we are willing to read the news one sided. When Sata preached that all bembas should vote for GBM, we did not hear some of you bloggers preach inter marriage and unification as you are when HH has labled one of his MP’s tribal. What should be worrying us younger generation is the fact that politics in Zambia have taken a wrong turn. Tribe is now been used as either a campaign gimmick or used to discredit the credibility of a person with diveregnt views. Politicians be ware, you are only fooling fools with shallow minds.
