Group D at next next year Africa Cup in Angola has taken a twist of The French connection after Zambia were drawn with Cameroon, Gabon and Tunisia for the tournament to be held from January 10-31.

Cameroon are coached by Herve Renard’s French compatriot and former PSG and Lyon trainer Paul Le Guen while Gabon are under their compatriot Alain Giresse.

Zambia will open their account against Tunisia in Lubango where they will be based.

The two teams last met in another preliminary round group stage opener at the 2006 Africa Cup in Tunisia when the latter beat Zambia 4-1.

Cameroon are more recent who crushed Zambia 5-1 at the 2008 tournament in Ghana in a Group C fixture.

Gabon on the other hand will be the two sides first meeting since 2005 when Zambia won 1-0 in a friendly match played in Johannesburg.

Meanwhile, Gabon renew acquaintances with Cameroon fresh from their Group A clashes in the 2010 qualifiers in which the Indomitable Lions won 2-0 away and 2-1 at home in September and October respectively.
