  1. Mr.Kunda , who was accompanied by cabinet ministers and senior government officials!! At what cost and why ukya izanda? The poor tax payer is realy a good employer. How I wish he/she had the right to fire n hire at a press conf like ba Mwine.

  2. why send 40 men to copenhagen to ‘learn’ about climate change? couldnt a poor country like ours just send 2 of the best?

  3. Imwe bantu 40 Man delegation! Maybe they just want a chance to go and see Obama in person, whom they wont even shake hands with! But guys come on what are all these people going to do there Non of them will say anything sensible. All these people are accompanying one minister???!!!! woow! each one of these people will flight business class. one ticket will probably cost $2500 minimum by 40 = $100,000 accommodation for the period of the conference, one person $4000 (minimum) by 40 = $160,000 By the way Zambians dont come back just at the end of a summit, just look at Kunda, he comes back a week after the summit ended. RB came back 1 1/2 weeks after the UN summit ended. We are talking about $500,000 minimum on this trip alone!

  4. #8.., You also need to add allowances to that cost! I really don’t see the need of sending such a large delegation. Its about time we started being much more economical and cost-sensitive as a poor country! 🙂

  5. There is no longer any rule of law in Zambia, so what negative perceptions? Any sane investor cannot come to Zambia. First, sort of law surrounding land allocation – respect private property, do not allow party holigans to invade other people’s land and demolish illegal structures on title; second, ensure that judiciary is free and independent; third, ensure free press- do not allow party thugs to beat up journalists, privatise the Daily Mail and Times, and make ZNBC a public broadcaster not a party mouthpiece. Fourth, professionalise the civil service. Firth, … etc, etc. Only then will investors come! No rule of law – no investors!

  6. “they just want a chance to go and see Obama in person, whom they wont even shake hands with” end Quote

    # 8 Kaponya, You are indeed a bonafide kaponya.Us here in the US know that Obama is not God but a politician too that a fellow human being need not get obsessed with the desire of meeting him.Like any leader of a Government of men, he is a human being with many challenges presiding over a country fighting for its place and future under threat. There is only one living God Jehovah every being should seek.FYI, RB and entourage Meet and conferred with Obama at the selected African leaders dinner during the 61st session of the UN General Assembly.Stop dreaming that Obama is a must see god otherwise, one can die.Leaders even of preponderant powers are not infallible or immortal but…
