Bus drivers vow to vote MMD out.

Share

Some minibus drivers in Lusaka say the MMD government under President Rupiah Banda has been corrupt and that corruption in the country will never end as long as government does not improve the conditions of service for police officers.

Complaining to QFM over the weekend, the mini bus drivers who declined to have their identity revealed said the government has not been fair on the way it has been treating them through traffic police officers.

They said the traffic police officers have been demanding money from them at every road block, adding when they are given money they let them go.

They complained that there is no justice in government depriving the poor mini bus drivers by demanding money in place of the government to provide employment to them so that they can be paying lawfully through tax.

They threatened to work towards changing government in the forth coming tripartite elections next year, alleging that the Rupiah led administration has failed to run the country.

  1. Oh please, since when did bus drivers and conductors ever vote MMD? You are Kaponyas and you have always voted for your fellow Kanponyas and thank God the country is not made of Kaponyas. Anyway, in a democratic Zambia you have the right to dream on and enjoy driving those blue buses because you are just so tiny to have any effect on the True blue party.

  2. These Kaponyas are doing work that a normal government would do.

Where is the public transport system provided by MMD?

Chief Bootlicker you cant even see the failures by your thieving friends.
    Where are the public trains?

The failure of MMD to create a public transport system is terrible and shameful.

  3. It Takes Kaponyas to do the job a normal government would do.

These people are not dumb…just striving to survive in a country that is being led by dogs.

    Woof Woof.

  4. Kaponyas kaponyas kaponyas let Sata keep you flattered that you have the vote. These are GMB’s labourers.

  5. I totally do not agree with #1-if we will continue having people like you who have no respect for some section of society especially in politics our beloved country our zambia will not grow. The so called kaponyas you have called so-pay VAT,Road taxes, medical levy etc which matters to our national treasury-I am very dissaappointed with your comment-you could have a better way of expressing yourself even if you are a cadre for MMD.

I agree with my brothers-the MMD should go especially if they maintain RB-they should be red carded.
Many are the times the police have inconvinienced me and other passengers by offloading us from the bus and later they receive bribes even in our presence especially Emmasdale and Central Police in Lusaka-please improve their pay please maybe they may change

  6. MMD Chief Bootlicker and Senior Citizen

The bus driver is saying Govt should improve Police Officer’s Salaries. Say something about that point. Not childsh talk. Everywhere in the world USA,UK anywhere else there bus drivers. But your language is so mprimitive. No wisdom come on guys

  7. I disagree with comment 1. The so called kaponyas in my opinon form the majority of voters especially in Lusaka and on the Copperbelt. The Kaponyas form the grassroots of any political party and are the ones involed in decampagning some candidates while campaigning for others. Through the use of the kaponyas, Sata popularises his party and wins votes. Actually even William Banda the mature kaponya uses kaponyas to popularise the MMD.

  8. #2 we are in a freemarket economy where the government is trying by all means to have no business in business apert from regulation. Therefore no need for govt. owned trains. An enabling environment has been created by this MMD govt. for transport business participation by all its citizens.

  9. #1, 6, and 16 well said. since when did these chaps start voting. They don t register To Hell with you!!! We have Our Luapula, Cent, East, West, N.West, then our Votes in the North ,south, Lsk and CB will make one big province. Long Live RB and MMD the Blues

NO YOUR ATTEMPT AT FREE MARKET HAS FAILED.

YOU NEED TO HAVE A TRANSPORT SYSTEM FIRST TO BE ENABLED TO PRIVATIZE IT.
WE KNOW MMD IS BACKWARDS AND THINK DEVELOPMENT IS GBM OR PLACING ADVERTS IN THE PAPER ASKING TO SOMEONE TO PRIVATELY REFURBISH SOMETHING THAT THE GOVERNMENT FAILED TO MAINTAIN.
IF THAT IS GOOD MANAGEMENT THAN ZAMBIA WILL STAY UNCHANGED FOR ANOTHER 45 YEARS.

  11. Is a 8km long train line something to be proud of an be able to call a city train network?

These MMD cadres can only think of making money and not providing services.

  12. V.J Vote Rigger.

Can you tell anybody where a train line network could run through Lusaka and surrounding suburbs?
The whole city has not been well planned for anything remotely like it.

  13. N.E.G.R.O.E.S are so detached from reality, there is a difference between drivers and Kaponya’s (Rogues) Some of you like Senior Citizen, your fathers were Drivers %-(%-(

  14. Look who are insulting bus drivers, only the bum lickers. F.o.o.l.i.s.h imbi.ciles who would never stand upto or let alone insult a bus driver were they are based for fear of being prosecuted for harrassment but are so proud to insult their own brothers in Zambia. UNBELIEVABLE.

  15. We used to have a character called EASY on the blog but disappeared immediately Levy died, so it wont be long, maggots like Senior citizen and his same s.e.x partner Mr capitalist will be gone next year. They wont sustain this kind of blogging madness on mobile phones back home.

  16. But senior citizen you think like a mental person. Where u are -the USA there are bus drives and all the people respect them including you. Now you are insulting our brothers who are drivers in Zambia even when they are advicing your headless president that he should better the lives of the police men and ladies. Sure now I know for sure that you a dull person who just have a grade 12 certificate. To hell with you…..son of pedition. 8-x8-x>:)>:)>:):-t:-t

  17. I only hope these bus drivers do indeed register and vote. This time they are talking sense but come election day they will be dead drunk and screaming “Pabwato!” without exercising their vote!
