Kafulafuta Member of Parliament (MP) George Mpombo has vowed that no one will force him out of the ruling MMD for holding divergent views contrary to those of the party’s supreme body the National Executive Committee (NEC).
Mr Mpombo who is former defence minister said no MMD NEC member has any basis to hound him out of the ruling party.
He said all the statements he has been issuing are based on pertinent developmental issues which are clear to the Zambians.
The Kafulafuta MP added that the issues he has been raising are critical to the sustainability of the ruling MMD.
Mr.Mpombo said the failure by the NEC to appreciate his statements has exposed the ruling party’s intolerance to divergent views.
He has since vowed not to leave the ruling MMD regardless of the decision of the party’s NEC would make against him.

UNIP & MMD
As was the case in the American history when the original Republican concocted to stand on the promise of Democrats and scooped elections while the Democrats reversed to Republican ideology to date! This is true for UNIP and MMD! The adoption of RB by LPM was a way to punish or diversify Zambian politics which was a good idea by the way. But when UNIP start using the pre-1964 methods of eliminating anyone and everybody with different views, it then becomes clear that Zambia is not ready to be its own independent nation! I say this because if as a country we keep going backwards, there comes a point when we shall sell everything to the so called investors and have nothing as a country!
No one should indeed force Mpombo out of MMD just like no one will force Chiluba not to participate in active politics.He has every right to express his divergent views whenever something is wrong.RB should be forced out instead because hes making careless statements without consulting his advisors.
Iwe Mpombo, no one will force you out of MMD because you are no longer MMD. Why do you want to cling on to the sinking TITANIC. Dont act like rebel PF MP’s from Luapula who cannot win a BY-Election and busy comfusing and attacking Micheal Sata. They ceased to be PF a long time ago but keep on clinging to the PACT through their imaginary PF “Memebership”.
Mpombo stop dreaming that you are indispensable or that MMD depends on your hangover. When you were in UNIP MMD was there, when you were burning ifibili for years in Ndola rural MMD was there. And when UPND found you hopeless in villages drinking imbote then you defected from UNIP to UPND, MMD was still there. When you came groving for a job in MMD, MMD was there. MMD has been there and MMD will be there even if even if you go 6”. If founder members like Derick Chitala, Akashambatwa Mbikusita, FJT Chiluba could be offside leaving it to fellow founders such as Hon. VJ Mwaanga, Mwanamwambwa, Walusiku, Suresh Desai, Katele Kalumba, Nyangu and such actives, who are you to MMD considering that you are just a political crostitute who came without value but yourself as a chendabwamba?
Mpombo just leave as you left your cabinet post.my question again is how many trees have you saved since your resignation?Or indeed how many have you planted since you left cabinet?Remember the lies you told when you were leaving cabinet.Thats the problem with people who not natural leaders you ,you cling to power even when you know you are of no use.Maybe form your own party with Fred Mmeembe after all it’s multi party democracy,look at smart Milupi.You dirty man.
Mpombo must be let alone. I wonder why it must be an issue for him to contest in the MMD convetion? His go he right unless someone must say that RB is a dictator. MMD is still condemning PACT for no holding convention when they are in the forfront hijacking this right. I also wonder why people are calling SATA unappologetic? Sata speaks out the truth. For instance, if he called people of NW NYAMAZAI-there is nohing wrong in that because NWesterners of whom iam one of them are timid,sleep and thats why we called 6colock. #2 chilolo, its against the laws of Zambia to actively participate in politics as a retired president. This law was introduced by Chiluba himself to bar KK from participating in politics. When any law is in place, it should be obeyed. Therefore, its illegal for Chiluba to actively participate in politics.

Coming to the topic at hand, i think George Mpombo is very caregous in bisa we say, “chimbwi pakulila nishi pali epo ashintilile” meaning for Mpombo to take on the entire MMD like this he must have some hidden weapon that he will 1 day unleash on RB and his minios.

/:)/:)/:) I think some of you should appreciate the fact that George Mpombo has got something to offer in Zambian politics than some of you who are just busy issuing contrasting statements about him. Ba Veteran, which role have you ever played apart from criticizing people yet in your capacity as a person, there is completey nothing that you can claim to have done for mother Zambia. At least, George Mpombo served in various capacities and indeed, he is still an MP for Kafulafuta. What about you with your fake language ? Michael Sata and HH are men of high esteem who can be credited for whichever roles they have played in society. Probably in your case, you shall just go to your grave without leaving any legacy behind apart from blogging every day.
