Mtendere residents Complain about prostitution

Share

Mtendere residents in Lusaka have complained that prostitution at UNIP’S trading area is alarming and has since called on the Lusaka City Council to move in and restore sanity immediately.

Speaking to ZANIS in Lusaka today, group spokesperson Lameck Phiri said bar owners in the area are now using bars as brothels and described the situation as alarming.

Mr. Phiri said the area committee reported the matter to the council but the council has failed to take action.

He said some bar owners are pretending to be selling alcohol when in the actual sense were using the rooms as brothels during the night.

He said as an elderly person, he was so much concerned about the development which is putting young people at risk.

Another resident Siamusa Wadoda urged government should move in to control the situation saying the place become a hub of bandits at night who are terrorizing people.

And when contacted for a comment, Lusaka City Council Public Relations Manager Chanda Makanta refereed the queries to Assistant Public Relations Officer Henry Kapata who could not be reached by press time as the phone went unanswered.

  1. Yeah that place is hard core nobuhule bulanunka when you just enter the club… remember going there with some fellas some 4 years ago with the intention to chill out but ended up being shocked with the whole hule staff/brothel thing…it is the modern sodom. If some doesn`t have money to pay for the slaughter you can even give them a belt or shoes in exchange.Hish let the civic leaders do something about it.

  2. #1 Is that where you go and are did you by any chance forget to pay departure fee and they sorted you out?

  3. How do you guys know it is hard core ubuhule? What were you doing there? What where you looking for to notice it is hard core?

  4. Yeah # 1 madzimoyo especially…i remember when we walked in we found a guy trying to start a fight, he had given them his shoes the previous night as surety but when he went there the following day with the cash ,he was told that they couldn`t remember him.Afulilwe ngechoni amuguys.

  5. #5 Mo taim, I hope you managed to come back in good shape. I mean no foreign bodies in yo system! Ati Madzimoyo? life-givig water?

  6. # 5-Chichetekelo mudala we are in good shape. If we have those foreign objects(U.F.O) ninshi te ku madzimoyo. It was a good experience tho.

  7. Abraham Maslow’s hierarchy of needs lists sex as one of the basic human needs! Without it we can’t survive, the human race cannot propagate! Everyone is doing it from Pastor’s, priests, doctors to kamalasha’s. For married people fair enough, you are getting it from your wives and for some of you from your mistress’s also. For single people, either from girlfriends/boyfriends and of course the ever green prostitution. FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, SHUT UP WITH YOUR PRETENSES YOU SO CALLED MTENDERE RESIDENTS!

  8. I dont know whats strange about that because the world will continue to evolve and i hope mens strength to restrain themselves from such vices will too. As for now, let it roll, its a matter of freedom of choice. It starts from school. Teachers wiring students, these students reach college or university, they are being wired by lecturers for favours and others for financial support. The dropouts, see there way to bars to help support the child left by one run-away father. Its a vicious circle. Nowadys, even wives who dont get satisfaction opt to be shagged by well muscled boys in their neighbourhood. Shall we wake up from this? No. Let shag, but let us remember days dont always carry numbers.
For our siblings and children, better take them to church while they are young and maybe, i…

  9. Eye Mayo elo lwanya. Pa Zambia napo. You may praise it to your friends in diaspora but when they visit news sites you are in trouble. Namashiwi nshikwete.

  10. Ba #10 naimwe stop pretending; which bulaya are you at where there is no prostitition, aka red light districts? Stop with the pretense already

  11. The Open market prostitution is often condemned but just do a research women are selling themselves everywhere. They demand payment in kind before you have access. Isn’t that prostitution? Plenty of women demand you pay rent buy them a car or even a house before they allow you between the sheets. We turn a blind eye to that but when someone in Mtendere says K200,000 for a quickie the whole of society cries mahule! mahule! We should just shut up

  12. After all its just a proffession most of us including the elite in society hung on for much needed relief. I have known secretaries who get shagged at lunch in their boss’s office. Whoever said a secretary must be dominated by women had known the mind of man better-for relief in times of issues at work! Now thats prostitution at the highest level. All we need is just get iron pants locked up and keys kept by our spouses and for those who are not married-am not sure whether there is any other provision for your relief till you get uchongdwe. Kulapya fye muchi fuba na mu matanta.

  13. i hate the pretence pa zed kwati tamwimyaaaaa…ama buku…abanenu ekalilo….nga bayimya…..ama heavy things!gud day.
