UPND_PF_PACT

Patriotic Front (PF)spokesperson Given Lubinda has appealed to UPND/PF pact supporters not to lose confidence in the pact.

Mr Lubinda said that the pact is here to stay and that the reported problems and confusion are part of strengthening the two parties.

He said that the pact should not be judged by the problems it is encountering, but from the way it will rise.

The PF Spokesperson noted that the pact has acknowledged that they were differences and they have resolved them.

He stated that possibilities of a split are just rumours and that the perceived problems have strengthened the two parties.

And Mr. Lubinda has urged political party cadres not to allow themselves to be abused by politicians who survive on violence.

Mr Lubinda said that cadres especially youths, must ensure that violence free elections are held, for the benefit of peace.

He said that youths should ensure the coming by elections are held in violence free environment.

The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has set this Thursday August 5 as the date for parliamentary by-elections for Luena and Chifubu constituencies and local government elections in six wards in various districts.

The by-elections in Luena Constituency in Western Province and Chifubu Constituency on the Copperbelt Province respectively follows the resignation of area member of Parliament Charles Milupi while the Chifubu polls are as a result of the death of Patriotic front (PF) member of Parlaiment Benson Bwalya.

  1. This is a typical case of the proverbial ostrich burying its head in the sand. Given Lubinda ought to be honest and fothright with his sugar-coated statement. The implosion of the pact will never be reversed and its doomed failure is emminent. Sata and HH are two self-centred tribal characters of the worst kind who will never rule Zambia because their nauseating tribalism will always get in the way.

  2. Bo Lubinda pretending that all is well is not fair.Time will tell we are tried as supporters the seek and hide game you leaders are doing for this pact. I wish you could consult your grass root to advise what you should do to make your marriage of inconvenience work. The truth of the matter is that we need the pact just on local and Parliamentary levels. As for Presidency we should not pretend that both Parties will agree for one President. Therefore we need to find a way of resolving the pending conflict for the pact.

  3. PF/UPND supporters love the PACT and want it to succeed. But the PACT two leaders ba Sata and HH need to share the same platform and talk to the people before it is too late. They need to clear the air and give us confidence that the PACT is solid. Let us not be late, elections can be called early by RB to catch everyone un-aware. The PACT should move everything in motion starting with the two leaders holding joint periodic rallies.

  4. Mukwabo ba Lubinda,
Why should right thinking people have hope in a failed project ab initio? Accept that the circus was built on falsehood, deceit and needless hatred for RB. It is structurally defective, gasping for air, in ICU and like a house built on sand is about to be history because the currents of truth now assail its false foundation constructed by two bitter sore losers HakaSata. Here we are hardly one year on its in comatose. This bad contraption has a lot of defects and to brazenly pretend that there are no problems but a future is self-deceit which noble Zambian can stomach no more.

  5. Mukwabo ba Lubinda,

Politics by deceit or by false propaganda cannot solve any problems. Some ration pact members know that as an opposition, they cannot go on applying the same old deceitful antics of Sata.

  6. Unlees the PF view of looking at PF cadres as masaka yabunga or imifuko yabuka they keep fooling is now a project extend to Zambians and you are just testing the waters on lies. This thing is long dead.

  7. All is there of a pact is an empty political shell without life. Its a preserve of losers and not power actors, game changers, shakers and movers but chronic losers.

  8. This pact keeps going round in circles, fearing to tackle the presidency issue head on. The biggest problem that I have seen with this pact is that both leaders and its followers are not prepared to listen. Any sensible voice raised, the voice is seen as that of the enemy. Lubinda what you should know, this is a fact my dear, is that once HH is not elected in that position of pact leader, this pact will crumble, this pact will die together with you its followers. We have heard of the pact slogan “WE WANT CHANGE” what does this change mean for people, a new birth of leadership, HH is the only one who represents that. Unlike Sata, HH has no strong hold on his followers, Sata’s followers can easily be coerced into supporting HH.Sata’s followers will take anything Sata says as gospel…

  9. Not sure I agree with most of the bloggers and sad to note your wishes will not come true. With or without Sata and HH the pact will continue being because the people of want want real change. Look at todays post:
“KCM has outsourced the concentrator at Nchanga to U & M, the schools like Konkola Trust School are already gone, if you look at Fitwaola Open Pit, they have outsourced, they have brought in a South African firm, meaning that employees who used to work at the open pit will now be contractors,” Munyenyembe said.

“At the hospitals, we know that they are bringing in Indian doctors to come and run them. Of course, at first they will pretend that they will keep the Zambians who work there but eventually, they will be frustrated and forced to leave while those that will…

  10. #5Senior Citizen
My snippet on #10, is what you and your DULL bosses should be focussing on and not the PF/UPND Pact as that is where your performance as a party will be based, but alas you’ve got no clue on what the role of Government is. These are the issues we expect MMD I.DIOTS to be focussing on, but we have realised you just don’t have the Mental Capacity to do that no matter how much you try, you’re just DULL.

  11. Thanks Hon former UPND MP and now PF MP, UPND-PF PACT co-spokesperson, Given Lubinda for giving such counsel.

However, your PF vice-president Guy Scott said ““The university degree clause that the MMD were agitating cannot help this country in any way. Good leadership is not about a university degree. I have two degrees myself from the university but I cannot compare myself to Sata looking at the vast political experience that he has” (see today’s POST News entitled Sata has vast experience in governance – Scott) contrary to “Michael Chilufya Sata does qualify to run as president under the… provision recommended by the NCC, which requires a degree holder for president” by PF secretary-general Winter Kabimba (see 24 Jan. 2010 POST news: Sata has degree)…

On 2010/01/28, the Zambian Watchdog reported “Patriotic Front president Michael Sata has said that he possess two University degrees.[..] Sata, who did not disclose the universities that conferred him with he degrees, said he has one degree in Arts and History while the other degree is in political science… was speaking at one of the local FM radio stations in Lusaka,” under a tilte “I have two degrees, says Sata“.

Is PF being sincere in the PF-UPND PACT? the voters?

Please, Mr UPND democratically elected president HH, tell PF to organise itself so that you can choose or elect a 2011 PF-UPND PACT presidential candidate whom you must announce to the Nation as soon as possible.

  16. 13 continued.

In light of the above quotes, it is clear to any sane Zambian that Mr PF appointed-by-MC-Sata vice-leader Guy Scott has told the Nation that Mr PF unelected, self-appointed, two-university-degrees-holder-claimant Micheal Chilufya SATA lied to the whole Nation that he (MC Sata) has university degrees.

If the PF vice-leader has undermined his PF leader MC SATA, I implore the PF to discipline as well as show Mr MC Sata’s two degrees Certificates to the Nation in the PF vuvuzela, the POST Newspaper, and possibly other media. This will dispel the now known lie or propaganda by PF that Mr MC Sata can qualify under the current NCC Draft Constitution if it is made a Constitution of Zambia to be a presidential candidate.

    Be blest all.

  17. Why do some people on this blog take millions of space to drive their nonsescial points home like @5 & @12. actually its all nonsence. They Any human being who does like change is very typical of naivity & uprogressive/unproductive. How i wish they dont even quote verses because that in itself is blasphemy. I guess we are all tired of this crap of a party and want someone who will bulldoze us & strong enough to incacerate these big fishes looming the streets of zambia freely. I any case, let not judge Sata based on his qualifications, lets allow the PACT to do what they can in building trust within itself & am sure, we will give MMD a candidate with a degree holder-how i wish we know where FTJ,s comes from? I dont but i know it could be from MATERO. VIVA CHANGE,VIVA PACT,VIVA HH,VIVA SATA.

  18. Pipo like Maestro Hhehhehhehhe are individuals whose lives have been sheltered in their own illusions. To them carrying a paper around with some letters written “degree” on it defines who is worthy to be a leader. We don`t need an academician, what we need is a leader and leadership cannot be bought through the number of years someone spends in a classroom, computer or writting thesises.A leader is someone who is is able to mobilise people toward a common cause. It is a pitty that some pipo have had their minds overcrowded by their achievements such that they look at those without their level of Education to be low individuals.

  19. 17. Do not doggy the question…? sata lied to the nation about his hidden degrees to the extent that brought confusion in the pact…!!! Let him support someone with a degree because MMD will not let it go. Dr. guy scot had made it clear his president sata has no degree as such does not qualify as a leader of the pact. why lie to the nation,, why doesn’t he appoint someone else in his party who will qualify as a vice president..!!! now, how do you trust a person with such a record…!!! sata has disappointed me alot. I was one of the bloggers who believed that he has a degree, even the post stopped supporting him. So let us support someone with a degree… I have looked at the constitution and there is no way sata can be appointed presidential candidate by the pact…or vice president…

  20. Ha ha ha # 18-There is nothing to “doggy” or elephant here.Mind you the degree issue is just one of those nonsensical suggestions still under submission stage.By the way i guess your statement could have been ok if you had used “we” instead of the “me”.Let us not hide our necks in the sand gentlemen that is a non issue. The world today would like to have degree tags on almost everyone but that still does not change how that person can handle situations. These are all but our self illusions.I don`t support Sata by the way, i am just giving my point from an intellectual point of view.Peace.

  21. 21 kizito greetings, on your “17. Do not doggy the question…? ” I did not dodge any question but I merely put i clear to those with short memories that PF (spokesman) lied that Mr PF/Sata MC has a degree and sadly Mr PF/Sata MC increased the PF (spokesman’s) lie by lying that he (Sata) has two (2) university degrees which PF (vice-leader Guy Scott) has disputed by telling the Nation that Mr Sata MC does not have two (2) university degrees.

This is why I put up “Experience teaches one to be cautious…if we listen carefully and prayerfully to somebody when they make a claim, there will be evidence in their own comments, out of their own mouth, that will show the certainty of the matter, or otherwise – Jonathan Gray“.

Be blest and let PF clear this…

  22. Hon Lubinda must admit there are very serious problems with the Pact, can we be told who is the Presidential candidate.

  23. We know all the tricks that the MMD are playing in order to fool us that the PACT is going into ruines. The people who are helping presidents of another country to rig elections are less trust worth. Ifwe wether its HH or SATA we are going to support and are not in the hurry to know who is going to be the president of pact. Confidently we know there will be the president. If MMD get to know the president of pact, at all cost they are going to use their tricks to rig, remember they have degrees in rigging elections plus the dead have come back from the grave oh! Mr. CHFUBU RESIDENT be patient.

  24. I am very sad to hear that sata has no degree, now you are changing statements to say we need somebody with wisdom to lead but sata does not have any of the things you are talking about…!!! PF should quickly find someone who can contest the elections if they decide to go it alone. UPND will not delay to announce the candidature of HH. you have seen for yourself what they are saying about this man HH in western province, we want young man…!!! sata should stop this nonsence and make HH as their presidential candiadte instead of keeping on lieing to the nation about his hidden degrees. HH knew all along that sata has no degree and this may be his chance to lead zambia.!!!!
