  1. Ish Francis Musonda has seen better days, the reaper is slowly closing in…

Cuz everybody’s got a different way of endin’ it
And when your number comes for service then they send it in
Now your time has arrived for the final touch
I see the fear in your eyes and hear your final breath
How much longeer will it be til it’s all done?
Total darkness and ease be in all one
    Scarface-The SCORE

RB and Kabonde deserve each other, they even look like twins-all puffed up egoistic self confessed cretinious thieving imbeciles

  2. At first glance, I thought that it was a police officer passing out during the parade.

    The dog doesn’t look Zambian.

  3. #3 hahahahaha, indeed the dog doesn’t look Zambian at all,am sure it was imported!! :d

  4. no# 3 Moderator you right that dog is not Zambian lol….elo iwoneka ni yo pwalala, singa pishe kawalala.

  5. #10 central line
Niwebo wewapwalala read what is under the picture, its a sniffer dog not a guard dog.

  6. Guten Tag (Good day) Zambians!

So, if it’s dogs we’re discussing today… the breed in pic#5 looks like a German Sheepdog (Schäfer Hund), more versatile to deal with matters referred to by bloggers like #10.

Elo nomba ka Poppy in the last picture is clearly a Golden Retriever, fromthe Labrador family. He may look sleepy and dreary but he will defend you to death and sacrifice his life for you when you’re in danger. An American president once remarked…”if you need a faithful friend in this world, get yourself a dog”.

So far to the dogs. Otherwise, good pics LT.

  7. Hahaha-…. RB loooks more like a Kapaso wamfumu.
The police are so clean …see the shoe shining, it is a sign of poverty in the job they are taking. They are told to make shoes shine so as to hide the abject poverty they live in… lol.

  8. Ohh guys I remember even a song we used to sing in our childhood. ati:
    kapokola wanya…
    Iyo inshinyele…
    Isa nkunushe pa matako….
    Iyoo ninya…
haha…it was the hit of that time when we were playing ichimpombwa..

  9. The shoes are shinning, that the way it should be. the first dog seems small, they needed a bigger one.

  10. #16 Nine Chale, Guten Tag my brother, though its Guten Nacht in thailand at this late hour. Way to educate the masses. In a land where we nicknamed the steeltoe boot “pume mbwa”, its no wonder that we havent taken the time to see past “poppy” and “guard dog” when deciding pedigree! Cracks me up, but these are the things that make me miss home.Good pics ba LT.

  11. Congrats mmd recruit more police in alreadness for 2011 again as the means to reduce unemployment in the country and the other things give them opportunities for further studies.

  12. # 16 Nine Chale,
Do we in Zambia also refer to a dog as a ‘he’, I thought this was only common in the western world. The part of Zambia where I hail from a dog is always a dog and it remains an ‘it’ and never a ‘he’ and I notice that #7, #11 and 14 agree with me.

  13. Bati ba LT nabo! The captions are not innovative at all.
    – Constable police officers during a pass-out parade in Lilayi and again
-Constable police officers during a pass-out parade in Lilayi
    – sinffer dog (who said?) Why not just say either Police dog handler, or Police dog at pass out.
    – then twice Former IG Amteyo??????? and as if we haven’t seen enough of him third time!!!!!!
Can someone teach this cameraman some tricks?

  14. I never saw Dr Chiluba in Commander-in-Chief uniform? Don’t Belgian Taylors do Uniforms of that size?

  15. That is a beautiful dog … he is probably on a better diet than his handlers.

  16. #25
Am sure he wouldn’t have loved to see a potrait of himself in military uniform in the Post taken not by Mwanaleza but yuss himself.

  17. #21 Thaimakai, yes brother. We learn and earn as we return… take care.

#23 Distant Drums, having identified the dog as a Retriever (the word is male by gender) and also explained it’s closeness to humans, I instinctively went on to address it as “he”. Maybe it’s a wrong line of thoughts, but I see it as poor expression rather than a grammatic error on my part. Too much German is taking a good hold on my English aswell.

  18. #10, the dog is on the parade listening to the presidential speech. Siyopwalala! Its just well trained.Lol.

  19. The dogs are all okey. Do you think you need a Rottie or bullboer for sniffing. Dogs are chosen based on their intelligence. So btoh dogs are fine. One is a guard and the other beautiful Reteriver is for sniffing. Trained dogs are obidient hence their pose. I have a guard dog ad its a Boerbull.

  20. You can easily tell (last pic) the dog looks better than the pants. In other countries you wouldn’t be in parade with such rough looking pants.Your shoes have to shine and pants crisply ironed. That is why they call them “disciplined forces”

  21. =d>

Hats off to all dedicated and patriotic police officers. They really get to deal with very difficult situations a lot of times although the press seems to focus on the negatives ONLY. Bravo guys. This nation owes you lots ^:)^

  22. Congratulations to you men and women for joining the carrier in a quest to maintain peace in mother Zambia. There are a lot of positive things you will find in the system such as opportunities to further your studies and chances to even go on peacekeeping missions.
