Zanaco wrapped up their Confederation Cup Group B outing with a third place finish.
Zanaco drew 1-1 away to Haras El Hodoud of Egypt this evening in Alexandria to finish on 5 points from 6 games played.
Haras on the other hand finished bottom on 3 points and without a win in Group B from six games.
In the other Group B match, CS Sfaxien of Tunisia and FUS Rabat were in action in Morocco to decide who finishes top of the group.
Hard lucky boys at least you tried.
this is poor reporting ba LT, you cant even tell us how the line up looked like and who scored, you shld improve.
better luck next time and use the prize money to re-invest in and motivate players for a better outing next year.
FAZ is happy for me to president & I will be still president in the next four years!!!!
well well well well at least this. work hard next time
Agree with daccah #2 more info was required like who scored first, who came from behind, lineups etc.
Meanwhile Zanaco have still done us proud and continue with this new tradition of reaching the group stage.Whoever wins this year’s league Buffaloes,Nchanga Rangers or Zescolo, should aim to win next years’ continental championships. We are tired of “nearly there” all the time.
As for FAZ, once the house is in order, they should petition CAF to give two or three more slots for confederations and champions league as zambian teams ahve proven strong over past two seasons and consequently proven a point.
Zanaco finishes third…. So what? Third from a group of 4 atasee
John Sense @#6, I’m with u man, but consider this:The countries who have fared BEST in this continental competition over the previous FIVE years can enter a cup winner and third-place side from their national league, into the event.
As for daccah @#2: What can I say? I strongly disagree with u, man. This kind of reporting is NOT poor but VERY poor. IT is dismal, pathetic, disengaged, disinterested, and amateurish, to say the least. This is the stuff that can get u unemployment pretty fast in competitive economies. How, on earth, does the author plan to sell himself/herself and his/her boss’s company to the customers? Moreover, Zanaco tallied 6 points, NOT 5, from 6 games played.
how can number of points be less than that of games played? some people still say well done for what you people lets be sincere. zanaco spoiled their chances and in most games they had an upperhand. look at their local form this season-maybe the worst ever. for me the coach needs proper counselling – I watched his behaviour when zanaco lost to nchanga here in chingola this season. the man spoiled the party and now he did once again in caf games.
