  1. Congratulation, even though twana, but this sign of Zambia is getting civilized slowly. These games played in Lusaka only, awe mwe.

  2. One would have thought they had won the championship, alas it was just winning a “lucky” game!! No surprise, LT didn’t have much to fill their pages!!!

  3. #2, I am not picking a fight but we should be glad for this win really. Angola is the powerhouse of basketball in Africa at all levels. The young o0ne achieving this feat either through luck or good play is commedable. It is just like soccer, if Zambia was to beat Brazil either in a friendly game, what will you say about that? Remember, we still boast that at one time Zambia beat Italy in Souel which contirbuted to scrapping of using senior teams for the olympics. did we win the medal? no, but still proud of that record.

  4. thats no good news, let them get the cup and talk bout it… chimo umwana apasa test and you tell everybody in the neighborhood… get to the finals and have the cup… will definitely gonna embrace you ni.gg.az…… peace

  5. #5 if umwana fails the tests all the time you honestly wouldnt tell at that one moment nga aisa pasa. Because to you that would be a sign that maybe finally umutwe nawiisuka. Anyways even if they didnt win the cup Iam really happy and impressed. Basketball in Angola is so advanced. In Africa Angola and Nigeria rule the basketball courts. Even European teams where basketball is a big sport tumble to these two. So why not be happy. Only hope its the begininng and not a one hit wonder!!

  6. Zambians are very funny pipo, like Umwana Zed said we beat Italy in 88 and you are still talking about that yet we DID not even get to the semi’s. Do people really think playing basketball is a walk in the woods? Its a sport which my dear if you are a “planga” you cant make it out there unlike soccer…

  7. #3 and @6 You are right on. We as Zambians should celebrate this win, as you correctly pointed Angola and Nigeria are the powerhouses of this game in Afrika. Actually I was taken by surprise, I honestly didn’t think Zambia was capable of competing in basketball. To me it is like the Zambian rugby team taking on the springboks and winning. Please lets be happy, this is an achievement.
