Football Association of Zambia (FAZ)’s Disciplinary committee has today opened session to address the rift between the Kalusha Bwalya led Executive and the Andrew Kamanga faction exective.

FAZ Communications manager Erick Mwanza said the committee has however defered the session to next week.

Speaking to journalists at Football House in Lusaka , today, Mwanza said the resolution of the meeting will be announced soon on the official FAZ website www.fazfootball.com.

The Kamanga faction last weekend stormed out of the much anticipated FAZ annual general meeting at the Mulungushi Rock of Authority in Kabwe after the no confidence item was removed from the agenda.

The faction has since suggested formation of the National Football League (NFL ) which has not been well recieved by key stakeholders, like Kabwe Warriors F.C whose chairperson is Kamanga himself.

And on the Under 23 Olympic games Qualifiers, Mwanza said preparations are on course with Coach Msiska putting up 29 player squad.

Mwanza added that players will be in camp on the 8th May at the FAZ Technical Center in Lusaka.

He said the squad will be boosted by foreign players who will join camp at the close of the European season.

The FAZ Communications manager noted that preparations will be concentrated on the synthetic pitch at Independence Stadium in Lusaka as the Algiers leg will be played on similar turf.

Mwanza has also announced that Zesco United FC has left for a return league against Al Ahly F.C in the CAF Champions league at Cairo International Stadium in Egypt.

He said that FAZ general Secretary George Kasengele is head of delegation adding that the team has the capacity and all ingredients to win the crucial return match this Sunday in Egypt.

” Victory by Zesco United F.C will be good enough to enable them qualify to the group stage of Africa’s premier club championship, ” said Mwanza.

The Zambian champoins travel to Egypt charged up to conquer Al Ahly F.C who defeated them by a lone goal at home, a fortnight ago.

Zesco United tutor Fighton Simukonda says his team is determined to conquer its Egptian rival in this Sunday’s Orange Chapions League second round return leg.

Meanwhile, the MTN Super League week seven games are on 7th may with Nkwazi F.C facing resurgent Green Eagles F.C at Edwin Imboela stadium.

The 2009 FAZ/KCM Chapoins, Zanaco FC will host Nkana ‘ Kalampa ” Red Devils FC at Sunset Stadium, while sugar boys Nakambala Leopards FC will take on Lime Hotspurs at Nakambala Stadium.

Kabwe Warriors FC will host whipping boys Kalewa FC at Railways Stadium, while Nhanga Rangers will host Roan United FC at home. Forest Rangers taking on Red Arrows at Dora Hill Stadium and Power 90 Dynamos will host Green Buffaloes FC .

  1. I think am personally fed up with the circus at faz. Who sits on the disciplinary committe? If its the same ‘chaps’ then give us a break, eric.

  2. We need to support netball, I played that an we had crowds much bigger than the football games at times. The country has no natural born leaders I am afraid. Thanks

  3. No wonder we can not run our country properly. Just running an FA is proving to be rocket science! Greed, jealousy, revenge e.t.c. Soon FAZ is going to join the numerous once vibrant organizations that once flourished in this land e.g ZCCM, Zambia Airways, UNZA, e.t.c

  4. only people will not listen to me,,,, i said, long before that, as soccer fans, we should petition fifa to gave us at least a two year ban. there is no other way

    • Ka Eric Mwanza na ka Kalusha are very foolish and dull, Ba Kamanga naba Simataa are very inteligent, mature, proper family men and educated. Fya bupuba ifya tabling impasse, what impasse, Kalushas sturbonness can never be an impasse, mwandi ba Kamanga, ba Simataa go ahead and form another league. He didnt want no-confidence vote so what is looking for now? Aka fontini ka Kalu has now realised he can not be president without affilates, ala isukulu lisuma. What can you expect from people with failed marriages and jobs, disaster!

    • Ba charles/@balibenzelu… naimwe muletontonkanyako proper… its not a question of who is educated and who is not… leadership is not about how many intergration and statistics one has solved nor is it about how many chemical equations one encounters but its a trait !!! In my view Kamanga and Simata are the most dull graduates zambia has ever seen! why? they don’t know how to corner conmen.. they thought making the loudest noise will win them sympathy… but akanabo just a grade 12 from Mufulira dribbled them pants done!. They shud have just waited for the scheduled AGM for elections but they thought they can use state machinery to hound out their friends… useless chaps

  5. for your own information guys this what you shud expect in this year’s general elections… it is just a warmup! pray hard that your flight is not in winter! it will be two parrallel gvt one at statee house the other at Suwilanji gardens!!!!!

  6. Kalu and camp have G’onga-d us all including RB’s Govt., NyamaSoya’s Govt., also wanted Kalu OUT for failure to toe James Banda’s corrupt line. Kalu chose to toe his Own corrupt tendacies, hence fall ou with MMD run Govt.,.

  7. But what is George Kasengele doing as head of delegation for a club? I cannot imagine the FA Chairman being head of delegation when Manchester United goes to play in Europe. This is the reason these guys dont want to leave, akalilo!

  8. For me so long as the league games go on , that is better than last year’s boycot . Formation of a parallel league is practically not feasible . Sad that the ” no confidence motion ” was not tabled . That would have ensured the shutting up of one of the groups . But that is water under the bridge
As an individual , all I want is football activity to go on ! I am appealing to the players and coaches just to concentrate on what happens on the pitch and black out the mudslinging between the officials !
