Explain corruption policies, Political parties urged.

Share

Transparency international Zambia (TIZ) has urged political parties participating in this year’s elections to clearly explain their Anti-Corruption policies to Zambia.

TIZ president Reuben Lifuka told journalists that the politicians should clearly indicate how they intend to fight corruption so as to improve the country’s governance system.

Mr. Lifuka says there is also need for the public sector to be nuetral.

He added that once public institutions become independent from political interference, it will be easy for them to operate efficiently.

He observed that corruption had only affected the development of the country but that is has also proved to be expensive in public expenditure.

  1. TIZ come on you know thats a non starter, you saw how Levy (MHSRIP) was insulted when he took the Chiluba regine to court, see how Bembas fought him including the flop Sata. See how they are fighting Rupiah over convict Katele.Lets be realistic,in today’s politics its tribe & personality that matters not party policies.Better you ask Zambians to scrutinize these masqueraders who want plot one.I wonder if you have read any manifesto yourselves. What we need to ask is do some personalities suit that ambition? But those characters under a microsope to decampaign if need be.

  2. These people are just barking. They are execuses of men, just proving nothing. Whether these political parties explains their stand on corruption it means nothing when it is evident the vice is not being cropped anyway.
The country remains corrupt and will remain regardless of who becomes the president because a mind of an African person who suddenly finds himself to be rich is one of enriching onseslf and as has been the case at the expense of poor Zambians. Thanks

  3. TIZ, Zambians know that RB/MMD have no agenda on corruption ,if any it is to protect the Degree holders and those who practiced and benefited from corruption.SATA/MMD has an opportunistic corruption agenda where he swings any direction as long as SATA/PF can earn some voting milage from the corrupt and from the sympathisers of the corrupt.
HH/UPND have a wholistic fight against corruption through the SOCIAL,ECONOMICAL AND GOOD GOVERNANCE PROGRAM which effectivelly fights corruption using independent governance systems like the JUDICIARY and POLICE among others.

  4. lifuka, don’t generalise, just direct your comment to sata period, he is corruption itself. but of course we know who your target was, except you no longer have balls to state it. rb has simply beaten you guys, he is in cruise mode. tiz bias against rb is a form of corruption.
