Barclays EPL Trophy Tour Makes Lusaka Stop

The Barclays English Premier League Trophy will be in Zambia for one day in Lusaka on Saturday.

“The Barclays Premier League trophy will travel to meet fans in Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Singapore, New Zealand, India, Indonesia and across America,” Barclays Bank Zambia head of corporate affairs Webster Malido said.

However, there will be no star player from the EPL with the trophy on the tour.

He said the Barclays EPL trophy tour public viewing will be at both the Lusaka Showgrounds and Barclays Bank’s Manda Hill branch.

Malido said the first Barclays EPL public display will be at the Lusaka Showgrounds staring at 09:15 and move to the Barclays Manda Hill branch from 12:00 hours to 16:00 before the tour moves to Botswana on Sunday.

  1. C’mon Barclays who wants to see an empty pot without the stars who compete for it, Zambians deserve better as there is a big EPL following…Africans EPL players could have been rounded up and persuaded to turn up if the English chaps were afraid of injections!!

  2. Eish, it could be a small god, #1 you are right for what! We must just end at watching the game, I do not think we need the trophy.

These are the small gods do not go to see the trophy you may simply end up worshiping a small god.

Thou shall not worship small gods.

  3. Zambian too much kalijo that’s why you are in perpetual poverty. Why discourage Zambian fans see the trophy for free? Mwe ndoshi mwe!

  4. #4 u r rite. Abena zed too much talking about everything and anything in negative sense. Wonder how God created us.

  5. Bring us material for an oil pipe line to Angola, keep your barclays epl cup.

  6. Pure Satanism!!Surely what for?…Don’t bring deamons into the country!!

  7. What a shear waste of time. Those following this empty tin do not have things to do! I’ld rather go and and watch Forest Rangers Vs Mine Worriors!

  8. # 4 tell them again…nafuti nafuti..Zambians need to be civilized and understan what is going on in the world amano kwati some politicians zambia has..foul mouthed generation of vipers..what demons would the baclays EPL cup bring to zambia surely.Congrats to the Gentleman whose house the Cup is going to visit

  9. #9 you mean you really don’t know what is going on in this world. The world is going bezerk. There is alot of sin in this world. Morally, africa is on a decline. In the past it was rare to hear about issues of homosexuality in places like Zambia. The music currently produced in our country is rotten and immoral as it cannot be compared to that of our forefathers. This has all been because of the influence of the western culture on our own. And honestly you think these guys are doing you a favor by parading this empty tin in the streets of lusaka. I tell you, the answer is NO!. This is all about business mwana. They are merely marketing. Whilst you guys are spending your time unproductively, by attending this stupid display, the EPL marketers are being paid. So please wake up. Spend you

  10. Just being obsessed with watching the EPL on TV is crazy enough, but to even get excited about the trophy iz something out of real imagination.
Wonder why even mention waz made at the funeral of the late FTJ that he waz an Arsenal fan, not once, but az many timez. Did it have to get to that?!

  11. Anyways, I was among hundreds who got rare chance to see trophy as a man u supporter. So u haters for nothing can go to h…!
