United Party for National Development UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema says president Rupiah Banda’s silence on the date of elections will not deter Zambians from achieving their goal of changing government.
Mr. Hichilema says the delay in announcing the date of elections will not hinder the Zambian people from effecting a change of government in the forthcoming elections.
Speaking to QFM news in an interview, the UPND leader says the MMD government has failed the Zambian people.
Mr. Hichilema has further appealed to Zambians to be patient because the MMD’s mandate of leadership is this year coming to an end.
He says the MMD will have a rude shock after the 2011 elections.

MMD is still going to win. UPND is still not organised and their manifesto is based on the old MMD one. UPND do not have vision and they are only in politics to make noise. This is the time to show the nation they are there to make change and there are going to create jobs and build houses and more schools and hospitals. UPND are only there to critize government and to create chaos. MMD has managed to keep the nation stable after Levy Mwanawasa, that is the way forward. Zambian politics is all about finger pointing while children die of hunger. Why is Zambia still one of the poorest countries in the world when we have crops and copper to sell? Zambia has the same scope as South Africa and we can rise to that, so why are we poor? Govt cannot even build houses to stop overcrowding, why?
Zambians – if you can VOTE please vote wisely.

I cant vote for Sata not because of his age but because he is a dimwit, a bully and a dictator.
FTJ had to toss him from one ministry to another coz the man could not understand policy matters in ministries like health. To some, this is being “man of action”, nonsense! The guy failed to perform coz of lack of understanding. The only thing he is good at is organizing a party, and nothing else.
