Foundation for Democratic Process (FODEP) says disclosing the source of funding by political parties would help enhance transparency and accountability among all the political parties.
FODEP president Alex Ng’oma tells QFM that lack of a legal framework to compel political parties risks the country having political parties receiving funding from the unscrupulous people.
He adds that disclosing of sources of funding should not only be imposed on selected political parties but that all parties taking part in the electoral process.
Dr. N’goma however, notes that disclosing of funding as at now is at the discretion of the political parties as there is no law to compel them.
Dr. N’goma observes it will therefore be important for country to come up with a legal framework that will help monitor resource inflow of the political parties.

So Wynter Kabimba is again wasting the courts time and for himself, useless lawyer.
Tell that to RBish & Dangote!!!
I wonder what Zambia could be without PF, do your job wynter.
Winter is a fool. There is no legal framework in place to compel any political party including his own PF to disclose source of funding. He is again and again fighting a losing battle. PF could lead by example and disclose theirs.
You chaps with heads full of cow-dung should appreciate PF for most of the sudden development we are experiencing at the moment otherwise “mwadya mweka daddy” would have been eating on their own still. At least election time is an opportunity for people to enjoy a bit of the “national cake! MMD is only kept on their toes by PF otherwise they don’t care the shit about anyone else except themselves.Â
…ZIGITO, IT’S ACTUALLY THE MORE REASON WHY THEY SHOULD REMAIN SO. What do u think?
