People’s pact leader Panji Kaunda has noted that the patriotic Front party has set a target to win about 10 seats in eastern province.

Colonel Kaunda has told QFM that the people of eastern province have realized that the change of government is appropriate because the ruling MMD has failed to bring meaningful to development to the area.

Colonel Kaunda notes that the PF is the only party that can form alternative government adding that PF has been gaining popularity in the
eastern province.

He adds that the people of eastern province are geared for change and that no amount of political manipulation will be able to influence their
decisions in this year’s elections.

Zambia is expected to hold its 6th democratic elections on the 20th September, 2011.

  1. Yamunyokola Njala Panji. Farm banamulanda ma barriffs cifukwa ca Nkongole. Lomba kungo umauwa-uwa ngati galu wa ciwewe.

  2. the man is a dreamer, eastern province, tell us something also, they can even vote for UNIP not P F, maybe in another world or Election.

  3. Eastern Province is a contested province in this year’s elections. Watch this space. I just visited the Province. RB has realised this, no wonder he is visiting the Province so often. Easterners are loyal people and take time to change their loyalty. They are slowly done with MMD

  4. GO PANJI GO…The peoples pact is realy working and alot of people have joined the call for change.. VIVA PF VIVA PANJI…..

  5. Some people are sick for change. Our natural resources are going in the drains because of the poor deals we have etween our government and the so called investers. In the mines the foreign national who has come with the invester is getting 80 million Kwacha and the poor Zambian goes with only 5 million and is subject to tax. The copper goes without any meaningful tax. Is this what you call development. Wenye. Go in the rural areas and see how children are dying of malnutrition because of poverty which has been brewed by poor administration of MMD. Even kaponyas are they because the government has failed to give them jobs. How many able bodied Zambians are without a job even those who are skilled. This is MMD has done for 20years in power. This year you are going to pack for good.

  6. Viva PF, donchi kubeba. Mupezeni alichaya RB Donchi Kubeba pa rally! A donchi kubebe tulandapo. Donchi Donchi Kubeba. Mulimbe ba MMD.

  7. Punch Drunk Sata cannot win Eastern Province. Stop lying to the man Mr. Panji. Punch Drunk is receiving his fourth knockout. People are happy with how the MMD (albeit not enough) is developing the country and they want development to continue. This is why MMD is winning with landslide.

    • you are all the way in Canada and have no idea of whats going on in Zambia, so if i where you i would be open minded. You analysis is solely based on what you read from MMD propaganda papers, ofcourse they will say all is good. Trust me brother ever since i came back, i have noticed how times of Zambia lies. Goodluck in hope that PF cant win a seat in Eastern

  8. When you look at history you will see that in Zambia they are two paties which came very came second to MMD in elections aFter that loss they have been going down and these are UNIP and UPND. PF has been coming closer and closer. May be this time UPND might also close up. This year’s elections are very competive. Any one among PF, UPND or MMD may win. Most likely the vote may be in this order. Popularity; PF in Northern, Luapula, Copper belt Lusaka.Western, UPND in southern, North wetern, Central, MMD Eastern only. but this does not mean that others will not get votes where others are popular. In all MMD will be coming second where others will win, but this will be offset by many votes in Lusaka, and Cpperbelt by PF.

    • YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT MY MAN,NOT #8 WHO IS LIVING IN A WORLD OF ELUSIONS BECAUSE OF LACK OF SCHOOL.I CANT BLAME HIM MUCH EDUCATION IS EXPENSIVE FOR PIPO IN T

  9. #2, Pliz note that PF thru Panji and others has done alot of work in Eastern Prov, they have been everywhere campaining right in the villages where pipo see the real suffering and people of Eastern have received their message well. The Mangani factor has also done alot of damage to MMD, MMD and RB know about this already and thats why they have pumped in alot of money to bribe people esp in Chipata. Last saturday, MMD dished out alot money and other materials like bicycles to the cyclists, cash & fuel to taxi drivers, chitenges, t-shirts etc to woo people to join MMD and attend RB’s rally in Chipata. As things stand now about four seats in Eastern are likely to go to PF and these are Chipata Central, Chipangali, Chama South and Malambo. Wait for 20th Sept.

  10. Panji, you are entitled to dream. However, don’t start translating your dreams to sell PF to Zambains. Muppet!!!

    • No. He is a mad major. In fact, none of KK’s children can win an election even from eastern province where they purport to have hailed from. Zero!!!!!! Inshimbi, ni the late Wezi

  11. keep dreaming Panji..whatvere you so called pact is with pf..you will not get anywhere..we shall have sober minded people not PF!

  12. Ala wina Azalila, Luapula, Copperbelt, Lusaka, Northern, part of Western, in Central province, Kabwe Central, Bwacha, Kapiri Mposhi, Muchinga, and Mkushi Central, in Eastern province, Chipata Central, Chama North, Malambo, Nyimba, Luangeni and Petauke Central. …..its all Donchi Kubeba. UPND has Southern Province, and Part of North Western Province. MMD have part of Eastern, part of Central and part of deep dyole Western Province bazawina bwanji na 39% Lets wait and see. Plus there is a fierce fight for Lamba land and Lenje land Anyway wina azalila

  13. If you have followed Zambian Politics, you will note that UPND’s best performance was in 2001 while PF’s best performance was in 2006.My understanding as of now is that PF will not beat their best performance of 2006.Meanwhile UPND’s poor candidate adoption has created a lot of independent candidates among their ranks which will no doubt affect their overall vote yield particularly that this has happened in their perceived strong hold of Southern Province. My take is that UPND might not improve on their MP count after this election.Who then will carry the day?

  14. Latest Poll on ZOL: Who do you think will win the 2011 presidential elections?

    Rupiah Banda 17%
    Elias Chipimo Jr 1%
    Hakainde Hichilema 22%
    Tilyenji Kaunda 1%
    N’gandu Magande 1%
    Charles Milupi 1%
    Godfrey Miyanda 1%
    Fred Mutesa 1%
    Edith Nawakwi 2%
    Michael Sata 53%

    Total Votes: 861

  15. @Chilufya, Have you forgotten about 2008 where PF performance was better than 2006? plus the by elections from 2006 to-date, your analysis is not independent but pro-MMD.

  16. If wishes were horses, all the fools would ride. keep on dreaming ba panji and wen u wake up u will find RB still leading us.

  17. Pulamaska- do you have a heard with its proper contents? No matter what wrong things you see to you all is good development.

  18. Where there is a beginning, there is the always the end, just like the Roman and the greek empires, this year is the end on MMD, whether you like it or not, no matter how long you can argue, the loudness of your voice, this is the almighty’s plan that PF is the next GOVT in 50 days now now. Mwabe nsokanda mukanwa ba MMD

  19. i think there is some truth in the col statement..pf will perform better this time around in eastern province.coming from the area recently i can say pf is assured of chipata central, chipangali, luangeni, chama north, kapoche, musanzala and lundazi central at the mp level.mmd will get the rest but for presidency mmd will carry the day in almost all the consitituence but for chipata central.
