Western Province Police Commanding Officer Fanwel Siandenge has called on all political parties in the Province to denounce all forms of violence during their campaigns.
Mr. Siandenge said there is need for political parties to maintain law and order as the country goes to its polls on September 20th, 2011.
He told Journalists in Mongu yesterday that so far, the campaigns are going on smoothly in the Province and no cases of violence have been reported to police by any political party.
Mr.Siandenge said police is happy that all political parties are following the code of conduct adding that he met youths from different political parties to educate them on how they should conduct themselves during their campaigns.
He said he has advised all Police Officer-in-Charges in all Districts of the Province to avoid giving police permits which have clashing dates to political parties in order to avoid violence and damage to property.
Mr. Siandenge said his office is open 24 hours every day, and has since urged all political parties in the Province to report any problems faced during their campaigns to the police.

“No violence in Western Province so far”…what the “so far” mean? Is violence expected in WP?
Lozi people can’t butcher each other, only funny bembas can
Westerners are usually very humble people. However, their quietness should not mean they have forgotten the Police brutality and atrocity.
The ballot box will speak volumes.
There is no PF there so how do you expect violence.
There is no reason to fight each other as that amounts to criminology, only associated with criminals. Amutuhele likebenge litwanise, kisizo sazona. Our enemy is poverty and NOT each other. Those who incite you to fight in the name of party loyalty just say; mubone sikebenga se, bati sibata kunisitatalisa. Lozis are known for respect and not insults, that is the spirit to keep through the whole campaign and afterwards. Remember Imutakwandu the unifier and vote for unifiers on 20th.
So, the zabwino palibe chap expects violence since ”there is no violence yet”
its only the pf cadres who bring violence..
Bishop Duffy is dead
MMD will scoop western province…chwelaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Ya, as was the case in mufumbwe, chilanga and Mapatizya!! Nkala na nzelu mwana wa galu iwe!!
Ant u happy dat there is peace?its like ur not happy wt da prevailn situatn and ur now advocating 4 violence.shame on u d viva mwamukolo.
“Donqueen”, you are 100% right. Indeed Westerners are usually very humble people. I am also inclined to add that the people of Western Province are quite civilsed and mature. Wait until Inonge Wina introduces her Chief Kaponya (Zondwa Sata) to the region, then all Hell will descend on our peace-loving people with an infestation of imported insults. PF absence in the area means peace to our people. The prevalence of UPND, MMD and Milupi’s Party has drowned PF luck in Western Province.
YOU ARE SICK IN YOUR MIND I THINK YOU NEED TO BE ADMITTED IN CHAINAMA. WHO WENT TO BUTCHER THE LOZIS ACCUSING THEM OF TREASON IS NOT THE MMD WITH ITS PRESIDENT WHO DOES NOT THINK(RB). THE MMD CADRES JUST RECENTLY THEY ATTACKED DR IMAKANDO WHO WANTED TO STAND.EVEN THOSE CADRES HAVE BEEN POISONED BY THE DEMON IC MURDEROUS SPIRIT OF WILLAM BANDA AND RB. THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED IN BULOZI SISTERS AND BROTHERS FIGHTING
PULAMSAKA YOU ARE MAD.
Tell me there is no PF in western province. No single MMD official or cadre resigned to join PF.If a such thing has not happened how do expect PF and Sata to win in Western province. No single constiyuency will go to PF in western province apart from one ward which the former MP for Sikongo mishandled.
Bana ba Poho Yensu, be peaceful at all tmes, LIKUTE ki longtife.
