Patrick Phiri Salutes Nkana

Patrick Phiri has said he is happy to see his former club Nkana showing consistency in the Faz Super Division.

The ex-Zambia and Nkana coach said he was confident Nkana will also finish in a respectable position on the table with just 7 games to go before the season ends.

“They are working hard and have done well so far and just hope they can maintain this form,” Phiri said who coached Nkana from 1997 to 2003 and won two league and four cup titles.

“This is my childhood club and it is also like my family.”

Nkana are currently 7th on the Super Division table on 35 points from 23 games played as they attempt to complete their second successive season in the top flight.

The record 11-time league champions were returned to the Super Division last year after a six-year absence following their first-ever demotion in 2004.
